Enjoy the trip to Machu Picchu from Cusco with Machu Picchu Mountain, where you will observe the amazing landscapes of the cloud forest and the entrance to the jungle edge towards “Aguas Calientes”; During the tour, you will have the beautiful views of Andean landscapes such as snow-capped mountains, cultivated fields and fruit trees. We will leave the city of Cusco towards Ollantaytambo. We will take the train to get to “Aguas Calientes”. The train will provide us with the necessary comfort to have an incredible trip. We will be seeing exuberant green valleys and Inca cultivation platforms of the valley in our route. We will enter the jungle area to arrive in “Aguas Calientes”, your guide will be waiting for you to welcome you. In the afternoon, we recommend visiting the Machu Picchu site museum and the orchid exhibition or also bathe in the hot springs of the town.

Breakfast
After breakfast at the hotel, we will take one of the buses to Machu Picchu. Our guide will provide you with all the information of the site during 02 hours of guided tour to learn about the Historical Sanctuary in all its splendor. You will ascend to Machu Picchu Mountain (3,050 masl / 10,007 feet), the ticket that is included. It has a demarcated path with unparalleled views of the famous Inca Sanctuary and also panoramic views of the surrounding mountainous landscape. In case of opting for Huayna Picchu, you must add an extra cost of $35 and confirm it in advance on the day of your reservation. The difficulty ranges from moderate to challenging. Then, we will board the return bus to “Aguas Calientes”. We will take the return train to Ollantaytambo and then our private bus will take us to Cusco.

5.00My friend and I went on the 2 day Inca Trail having discuss seeing Machu Picchu for over 20 years. Waman, and in particular, our guide JC were fantastic throughout. Darwin was so helpful and timely at answering my questions so I chose to book the 2 day hike with them. He advised on what i should pack, helped with hiking pole hire (something I needed and saved me buying them) and shared all the information I needed to feel pqrepared. A couple of days before the hike our guide got in touch for a briefing ok what to do and what to expect from both him and the hike. JC talked is through what to expect and the logistics for meeting up. Throughout the hike he was knowledgeable about so many sights along the way (historical, flora, fauna) and shared this with is throughout the trek. My friend and i had different paces and JC was great at working with us on this. On day 1 he kept motivating and supporting my friend while I did popped ahead. On day 2 he showed us all around Machu Piccu and then did the Mount Machu Piccu with me in the sweltering heat. The climb was tough but the views were more than worth it and we got some awesome pics along the way. JC, if you read this, thanks sooo much for all you did for us to make this such a truly exceptional, memorable, personal, and (as the train says) "once in a life time" experience

5.005/5 for sure. Wilber was so amazing - truly a terrific local guide. He was knowledgeable and shared that knowledge with passion and humility. He was kind and always put our safety and enjoyment first. He added a few personal anecdotes that really connected the past with the present. Yesterday went to Chinchero, Maras and Moray. The day was perfectly paced with rest pauses used to tell us about the beautiful stops. Today was the best: Machu Picchu. Even in the rain and mist, it was stunning. Thank you, Waman Adventures and Wilber, in particular for making this trip just wonderful!

5.00Took a multi-day trip with Waman with the Cusco to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu portion hosted by tour guide Wilbert. Not only was the trip stunningly beautiful and Machu Picchu even more stunning then you’d hope for but Wilbert was a great guide blending the history, archeology and known religious background information with modern Peruvian perspective and making it real and relatable for our group. Additionally his recommendations were spot on. Highly recommend both Waman and in particular Wilbert.
