  We came to Sri Lanka uncertain about what to expect. It was a lovely surprise- there was so much to see and do, and the people are so hospitable. Our trip allowed us to see different aspects of the country in a few days.Everything was planned and well-executed. Mr. Lionel was very responsive in responding to my inquiries and patiently worked with me to finalize our itinerary. Our driver, Manjula, took care of us every step of the way. He would go out of his way to find the answers to our queries, and anticipate our needs.

  Communication was fast and efficient with Henry from first enquiry to final planning. We were able to tweak the itinerary and accommodation to fit our plans amd budget and Henry had no hesitation about accommodating our requests. It was clear on our final itinerary documentation what was included in the price and what we needed to pay for along the way. Our driver, Krish, was an excellent guide understanding the length of stay and depth of information we wanted/needed at each stop. He also accommodated a couple of last minute adjustments we made to our plan. Overall a great experience which we definitely recommend.

  Henry was a wonderful guide!! For the past 5 days, he has been a delight and showed us the lovely island that is Sri Lanka. He has been very accommodating and very attentive, ensuring that I had every opportunity to experience the local scene and the highlights of Sri Lanka.   If you are visiting Srilanka and need a tour guide, I very highly recommend Henry of Merganser Travels who is incredible at what he does. I was a tad nervous traveling solo as a woman but Henry made sure I was safe and had his watchful eyes on me, and gave me advise at each location.. He picked me up from the airport, drove me around for 6 days around Srilanka and he made Srilanka come alive. His knowledge of its culture, its people, its history, its geography was amazing. He had excellent spoken English and he customized my tour. Henry is passionate about his job – he has a love for his country, and is a shining example of a Srilankan. I would not hesitate to recommend Henry as a tour guide.

  What an exceptional service from Merganser holidays. From the communication to the advice and professionalism, this tour company has made our trip to Sri Lanka very memorable. We were based in Colombo for our two week holiday but travelled around a little. We used Merganser holidays for an overnight trip to Udawalawe, an overnight trip to Galle and a full day of Kandy and surrounding highlights. The recommendations and advice given about tours was brilliant and we experienced places we may not have known about. The drivers that we had were considerate to our needs and very informative. I would highly recommend their services for any trip to Sri Lanka. Their expertise will assist you in planning a truly memorable holiday. Thank you Henry and team.

  We are a family of 3, first time on the island. For our trip we planned to do kite surfing in kalpitiya but I wanted to make sure we got a real feel for Sri Lanka before we settle at the kite spot. So I booked Merganser for a 6 days trip. I found the agency here on trip advisor but was still a bit worried how the things would go. But the trip turned out to be even greater than I imagined - were greeted at the airport by Merganser team with beautiful necklaces made out of shells - route and destination designed perfectly so we wouldn’t spend too much time in the car but still managed to see top attractions - our driver and guide Lal was the most attentive and thoughtful guide we could imagine - always knew where to stop for best pictures and snacks, took weather into account and adjusted if needed, seemed to have umbrellas up his sleeve everywhere, so be it rain or sun, we were always protected, plus, his love for his country made all the stories fascinating - prime selection of the hotels was indeed prime; I would personally spend hours looking for the hotels online but could still miss the ones we had. But the agency knew exactly what hotels had the best locations, views, service and food - great online assistance before and during the trip made the whole trip smooth and comfortable

  Thanks to Mr. Henry and Mr. Lal for a wonderful introduction to Sri Lanka. I had a scheduled arrival on Friday midday and a business obligation Saturday evening, and the team at Merganser Holidays helped me arrange a quick but eventful trip into the heart of Sri Lanka. Smooth pickup, great driver-guide, and thoughtful details throughout. Highly recommended!

  My favorite part of the trip was the rock fortress and the elephant orphanage! My driver Mr Laal was AMAZING! once you're in his van you're in good hands. He is very sweet and knowledgeable about Sri Lanka. He does anything and everything to accommodate you to make sure you're comfortable! I can't say enough about him except I am so happy he was our guy for 5 days!
