  We had booked a 5 day CampSafari and it was really beautiful. We have always felt safe and protected by our guide “Charls” and our chef “Emanuel”. Charls certainly took us everywhere and explained a lot about the animals and nature and Emanuel cooked the very best food for us!!! Especially his soups are out of this world. You can both speak impeccable English, which has made communication really easy. Thanks to the two of them, we never lacked anything for a second and I would like to say a big thank you for that. Also the course of the safari was really well communicated. After we arrived in Arusha we had practically nothing to worry about. I would also like to mention that this company really has a fair price and performance ratio.   These were 5 unforgettable days! My girlfriend and I booked a 5 day camping safari cheaply through the Crater Explorer website. The booking process was simple and smooth. Emanuel has always helped reliably with questions. The safari itself was really fantastic. With our experienced guide/driver Charles we were able to see many great animals. Emanuel, our chef, provided us with very good food 3 times a day and told us many interesting things about Tanzania and its life. (Especially his soups are great). Both very nice people who made our safari special once again and who we already miss a bit. A really good little safari company.   ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an amazing safari experience thanks to this wonderful travel company! Everything was perfectly organised from start to finish. Our driver was knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we saw the best of the wildlife and felt comfortable throughout the trip. The cook was fantastic — every meal was delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared, even out in the middle of the bush! It was truly a memorable adventure, and we couldn’t have asked for a better team.   I really enjoyed the 5-day safari. Waldon was the perfect driver: calm, experienced, and passionate about nature. He shared a lot of knowledge about the animals and the park, making the drive even more special. The cook also deserves a huge compliment; every day he prepared tasty food, right in the bush. I felt completely cared for, surrounded by wildlife and delicious food. It’s a trip you’ll never forget!

  We had a memorable 5-day safari adventure in Tanzania, booked with Crater Explorer. From beginning to end, the experience went beyond our expectations. Emmanuel made it stress-free and easy to put everything together. Our driver and guide Robert was very friendly, very hilarious, so the tour with him was not just informative but a real fun trip. Rasheed the cook did some incredible meals that kept us boosted up and looking forward to each day's adventures. The whole package was well worth the cost. All the accommodations—pre, during, and post-safari—were comfortable, well-maintained, and inviting. My wife and I are already talking about doing this again sometime down the road. P.S. Tanzanians are some of the friendliest people we have ever met, including those met walking around Arusha. Highly recommend Crater Explorer for anyone considering a safari in Tanzania! 🌍🦁

  10/10 ⭐️ Everything from the accommodations, food, staff & wild life was AMAZING!!! We booked a 5 day safari through Serengeti, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Crater/Ngorongoro & every second was incredible; truly, so many once in a lifetime moments throughout this trip.   We have just finished a 5 day safari tour with crater explorer and it was AMAZING. Truly the best experience of my life. Charles (tour guide) & Emmanuel (chef) were brilliant, they really looked after us. We saw everything we wanted to see and we are already planning our next trip with them. Highly recommend

  We have just come back from the 5 day camping safari and it was the best experience that I have ever done. From start to finish a very professional company, fast response and so welcoming. We got picked up at the airport and taken to hotel then greeted by the owner. Next day we got picked up by Charles driver/ guid and Emanuel our chef. Both of them were wonderful. Charles took us on all the game drives and was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions about the animals. He always knew where to drive to get close up to the animals. We have trusted him and relaxed and had the time of our life. Emanuel prepared all the breakfast,lunch,dinner and snacks and everything was absolutely delicious, he was so caring and attentive that it just warmed your heart. We have slept in the tents and we even managed to get some wifi at campsites 🤣. I would highly recommend this company.

  The trip was selected at random, but I never regretted choosing Crater Explorer. From the beginning there was close communication via WhatsApp with Emanuel, the owner. Everything could be discussed, supplemented and clarified beforehand. Very professional. The airport pick-up was unproblematic and punctual, the hotel pick-up too. We were a very nice and harmonious group from three countries. Our guide Gordon is the best, very knowledgeable and interested in giving us information about animal life. On the first day Tangarire started equally well with cheetahs, lions, a leopard, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeest, zebras, baboons and much more. After an impressive day we had the first night in the tent, but before that we had the dinner prepared on site. This was very good and varied as the whole trip. Vegans in our group were also provided. The next day the long drive to the Serengeti. The Ngorongoro crater hid in the nebula, but over the Serengeti was blue skies and sun. Halfway through the Serengeti then a breakdown, a shock absorber spring was broken. Our guide and driver Gordon then provisionally repaired it with a branch, with the help of many other drivers who all stopped and provided support. Temporarily we were the main attraction with the breakdown car. The temporary stop was up to the campsite, there was an impressive sunset and he sunrise was also very colorful. After fixing the branch again, the safari ran through the Serengeti then surprisingly trouble-free with many animal sightings. Even the lunch break at the picnic area was in unique surroundings and with good food. The day in the Ngorongoro Crater actually brought the missing black rhino and thus filled the big five. By the way, in the morning at the campsite on the height we had a visit from an elephant, at the Serengeticamp a few giraffes stopped by. With Lake Manyara and a small tour of Mto wa Mbu with a visit to the rice fields and banana plantations and banana beer and banana wine tasting we ended the trip.   We were very happy with the tour organized by Crater. Being a small company, it happens that they collaborate with other companies to organize the requested tour on the requested dates: we enjoyed it very much and were always followed by very prepared guides. The first evening, as soon as we arrived at the hotel, Emanuel explained in detail what the program would be (times and places to sleep). We had asked to visit Tarangire, Serengeti (two days), Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara parks with Lodges mode. A plus that pleased us was the organization of transportation to and from the airport and the night at the hotel in Arusha before starting the safari. We stayed in really nice (and super organized) lodges and Bungalows! On the last day we also had the experience of Materuni Waterfalls with adjoining coffee tour (and lunch in the village of Materuni, which was a really nice addition to our tour), highly recommended!!
