Looking for an unforgettable overnight adventure? Join us as we journey to Paria Bay, one of the most breathtaking spots on the island. You'll have two options to reach this incredible destination: a scenic 20-minute boat ride or a thrilling 3-hour hike through the northern side of the island. Once we arrive, we'll set up camp and cook up a storm, using only the freshest local ingredients. You can relax in the stunning emerald waters of the Paria River or Waterfall, just a short 15 to 20-minute walk away. And if you visit between March 1st and August 31st, you might be lucky enough to witness 1,500-pound leatherback turtles and their hatchlings nesting on the beach, a truly unforgettable experience! I have my own hiking company in Trinidad and time and again I take some time out and camp out somewhere away in nature. Camping out at Paria Bay is fabulous more so during the leatherback turtle laying season and once again, being on the beach and listening to the waves crashing towards the seashore is always a highlight....the peace of the winds and the viewing of the leatherback turtle laying her eggs during the early hours of the morning still remains a dream come true. Putting it simply.....camping out at Paria is a must experience.
