Great ghost tour, went as a family we all loved it. We will be booking on the Skipton walk over half term. Mixture of ghost stories and fun facts, a great evening.

Ghoulishly good fun Having lived in Otley for nearly 20 years I was pretty sure I knew it all How wrong I was...... We learnt things on this tour that will haunt us both for as long as we live. In Otley. Prepare yourselves for a mega spooky, super sinister and truly eye opening (you'll know what I mean after the tour) experience

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We booked the 1-Hour group Otley Ghost Tour thinking it might be a bit too spooky for my 7-year-old… turns out the only scary part was how much we had a good crack. Our guide was brilliant – part historian, part good banter , and part ghost whisperer (though the ghosts mostly kept their distance). She somehow managed to keep the adults entertained with eerie tales while making sure our daughter didn’t have nightmares. The tour was perfectly paced, full of fun facts about Otley’s cobbled streets and a few spine-tingling stories that made us all walk just a little closer together. My daughter is now convinced she saw a ghostly cat – or maybe it was just a passing shadow… either way, it made her night! Highly recommend for families – spooky enough for grown-ups, but child-friendly with no jump-scares or gory bits. Plus, it’s a great excuse to explore the town at night. Would absolutely do it again – next time we’ll bring extra beers for the ghosts. 👻🍪

A brilliantly spooky evening in Otley We had a fantastic time on the ghost tour with Spindleshanks, whose storytelling about dead presences was captivating. Just as impressive was the way she handled our cheeky small family members, who definitely made their presence well known! The walk was fun, atmospheric, and full of fascinating stories that made us laugh as much as it made us shiver. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for a unique evening in Otley!

This tour was booked as an evening of entertainment for 3 generations. The talented Spindleshanks Mcscrew told us spooky stories of Otley which made us scared, scream and laugh. It was so memorable we've talked about it since. Thank you SSM you were brilliant.

As a resident of Otley for nearly 20 years I found this a really great way to explore the streets that are so familiar to me . The tales and anecdotes that we were told were brilliant. I would thoroughly recommend this tour and excellent value .

What an unforgettable evening we had on the Otley Ghost Tour this past Saturday! From the moment we met our guide by the market place Jubilee Clock, the tour set a perfect, spooky tone that captivated us entirely. Our guide - Spindleshanks McScrew - charismatic, knowledgeable, and effortlessly engaging - wove together eerie local legends, chilling ghost stories, and fascinating snippets of Otley’s haunted past. Her dramatic flair and obvious passion sparked laughter, gasps, and suspense around every corner. Jonathan the ghost kept us good company too. The route was thoughtfully curated. We ventured through winding alleys and paused outside centuries-old buildings rich in spectral lore. The atmosphere was enhanced by just the right amount of theatricality - not so over-the-top that it felt gimmicky, but enough to whisk us into the spirit of ghost-hunting. The pace was excellent: never rushed, giving us time to absorb each story, yet never lagging. Logistics were seamless too - easy meet-up, comfortable group size, and great communication beforehand. In short, this tour struck the perfect balance between historical insight and theatrical ghost-hunting thrills. Whether you’re a skeptic, a history buff, or simply in search of spooky fun, this tour delivers - and then some. Would I do it again? Absolutely. Five stars all the way!

We had a fantastic time walking round old Otley with Spindleshanks; who not only filled us in on some of the ancient history of the town but was very witty with it, making us laugh all the way round. Well worth a trip to Otley and if you're at a loose end afterwards I have it on good authority there are twenty four pubs you can visit.
