Herdla Fortress

Herdla Museum is on the northern tip of Askøy. Housed in a modern building with panoramic views of Herdla Fort, the museum explores the island’s unique history and natural environment. Its main attraction is the "Gul-16," a German fighter plane from World War II that crashed in 1943 and was recovered from the sea 64 years later. Herdla

Herdla Flyplass was a military airfield located on Herdla, an island northwest of Bergen, Norway. Built by German forces during World War II, it served as a strategic Luftwaffe base.
