5.00A friend put us in touch with Nilan from Awesome Lanka Travels before our journey so that we could organise some transfers. After some great communication and recomendations it made sense and was better value to book Nilan as our driver and tour guide for the entire trip rather than for just individual transfers and day trips, so that's what we did! Nilan's friendly personality combined with his vast experience and knowledge of Sri Lanka 'made' our holiday. He provided a comfortable vehicle for our group of four, nothing was ever too much trouble, he would make recommendations and then always be happy to work with our timings and choices. We explored Bentota for 3 days which was more of a relaxed experience before completing a safari in Yala National Park where Nilan was our personal guide also and then heading to Galle for 6 days where Nilan had amazing local knowledge and showed us the best of Galle Fort and the surrounding areas. We finally headed to Columbo for a final day in Sri Lanka which rounded off our trip perfectly. I would definitely return to Sri Lanka and consult Nilan from the very beginning of any hotel or flight bookings so that he could advise accordingly on the best places to stay and when depending on which sites you would like to visit, for example Sigiriya Rock which isn't the most accessible from the South. Thank you again of making our trip so memorable!

5.00Nilan was our driver from the day we landed in Columbo. This was our first visit to Sri Lanka and we were a bit apprehensive but Nilan put us at ease from the moment we met him. He has a really relaxed, caring and attentive nature and always went above and beyond the call of duty and saw that our every need was met. We travelled to Bentota, then on to the Yalla Safari Park, followed by Galle and then ended up back in Columbo, Nilan was very knowledgeable and taught us so much about the history of Sri Lanka which we all found very interesting. He is one of the best tour guides I have used on my travels and would highly recommend Awesome Lanka for your visit to this beautiful country. We will surely be back soon...
