Highly recommend! They catered our tour to our interests, happily adding yoga and music and subtracting others we were not interested in. Our driver, Ashok, made us feel welcome and safe right away. He was always on time, polite and navigated Indian traffic smoothly. They planned the tour to make the most of our time in India, it’s amazing how much beauty and history we saw every single day. Our guides in each city were fantastic, I’m only sad we have to leave!

Me and my mum had an excellent 10 day tour with Golden Triangle Tours! Our driver was Ashok and he was brilliant - very punctual and made us feel very safe, it was great to have him as someone we could rely on throughout the journey and went out of his way to make sure our trip was extra special. Our trip consisted of Dehli - Agra - Jaipur - Udaipur - Jodphur - Ajmer/Pushkar. You're accompanied on most activities with a local guide who you are introduced to on the day, either at the hotel or somewhere on the way to a monument. You have a rough idea of what you are seeing, but what isn't explicitly stated is the inclusion of demonstrations you will see (painting, textiles, stonework etc) before you get taken around a shop. It was nice to have this option away from busy markets, but this was quite full on on top of a whole day of travelling and/or sight seeing, so towards the end of the trip we asked that we go to more local shops where there was no pressure to buy anything and the tour guides were amenable to this (we are Non Resident Indians so that helps). Some guides do ask you if you want to go to the shops and you can politely decline. Keep in mind you will have to pay admission fees to a lot of the monuments and these are more expensive for foreigners (equivalent of £1 for resident Indians and £10 for non residents, so still pretty cheap). A lot is packed into the 10 days but Gopal who runs the company is flexible on the itinerary and checks in with you (for us on WhatsApp) and your driver along and before the trip. There were only two activities in which we didn't have a tour guide, a Rajasthani folk show and Pushkar lake which has lots of festivities. Our driver chaperoned us to the folk show as it was dark and was moved to a different venue due to the weather, but we opted out of the last activity as we were feeling quite tired and it was at night unguided with big crowds, so we didn't feel entirely comfortable. If it was during the day we would have gone. It's worth noting also on the long drives your driver knows the tourist specific service stations and restaurants which adds to the safety element. The dishes range from very authentic and cheap, to more westernised and more expensive - but still comparatively cheap. Overall would really recommend this tour company, we felt incredibly well looked after, but factor in that it's quite an intensive 10 days where your tour guide is different in each city.
