Enjoy this multi-day tour and explore Tibet through some of its impressive sights: Potala Palaces, Jokhang temples, Drepung and Sera monastery, snow-capped mountains of Nyenchen Thanglha and holy lakes Yamdrok, real Tibetan villages and nomads. Lhasa is one of the highest cities in the world with the altitude of about 3600 meters and prides the world-highest salt lake Namtso. You will also visit the mystical Buddhist monasteries of the Kumbum Stupa in Gyantse, Tashilhunpho monastery in Shigatse.

Travelers are required to provide photocopy of passports and China L visas at least 20 days prior to travel date
Please Notice: Customers' airport pick-up and drop-off in Lhasa need be arranged by tour supplier. If customers fly to Lhasa from Kathmandu, please do not apply for China L Visa in advance, because customers need apply for their Tibet Group Visa from China Embassy in Kathmandu via travel agency. Before that, they need ask for invitation letter from tour supplier. If customers fly or take a train to Lhasa from one city of China, they need apply for their China L Visa from China Embassy in their country.

Upon arrival, our Tibetan guide will greet you at the airport or train station. You'll then be transferred to your hotel in downtown Lhasa. Along the way, you can enjoy the spectacular scenery of Yarlung Tsangpo River, Lhasa River, and the typical Tibetan villages. After arriving at the hotel, take some time to rest and acclimate to the high altitude. It's helpful to take it easy for the first few days and remember to stay hydrated by drinking water. Please note that there will be no sightseeing scheduled for today.

Potala Palace
Today's tour will first bring you to the Potala Palace which is the winter palace of the Dalai lama. It was put to use since the 7th Century by the 33rd great king of Tibet. The most valuable collections of Potala Palace are the gilded burial stupas of former Dalai Lamas and meditation Cave of the 33rd great king of Tibet.
Jokhang Temple
Then after lunch, tourists head to Jokhang temple which was founded by the 33rd great king of Tibet in the 7th century. Inside you can see the statue of Buddha Sakyamuni at the age of twelve. Outside, you can see pilgrims making prostrating in front of Jokhang Temple.
Barkhor Street
Around the temple is Barkhor street, where you can do kora (a religious circle of a building or mountain) with pilgrims and locals, and explore the old market. Besides, We can taste Tibetan tea with locals in tea house; The welcome dinner will also be arranged accordingly.
Lhasa Tour - Drepung Monasteryand Sera Monastery

Drepung Monastery (Zhebang Si)
In the morning, you are going to visit Dadong Village, the most beautiful village in Lhasa. Located 25 kilometers southwest of Lhasa downtown, Dadong Village is a well-protected ancient Tibetan village that surrounded by valleys. After arriving, you will visit the Nyimatang Monastery (built in the 11th century), take a light walk in the village, and see what rural life in Lhasa is like. You will also visit a local Tibetan family and enjoy the lunch offered by the family. We will go to Dadong Village instead of Drepung Monastery.
Sera Monastery
In the Afternoon, Tourists will visit Sera Monastery which is another one of the “great three” Gelug monasteries of Tibet. The hot attraction is the Monks debate at around 3 - 5 in the afternoon. In addition, you can tour the Tibetan religious scripture printing house; inside the monastery, you can see three sand Mandalas and colorful Rock Painting of Buddha.
Lhasa (3650m) to Shigatse(3900m) via Gyantse

Yamdrok Yumtso Lake
In the morning, drive from Lhasa to Shigatse .On the way, drive over the Gampala pass (4790 m), and you will have a glimpse of Yamdrok-tso (4400m) .The Lake is surrounded by many snow-capped mountains and in the distance you can have spectacular views of Holy Mount Nyenchen Khangsar, (7191m) the highest mountain near Lhasa .
Karo La Glacier
Later, we will pass and enjoy the Karola Glacier on the roadside; At Manak Dam Lake, you can hang pray flag at Simila Mountain Pass; Then, we will arrive in Gyantse, historically Tibet's third largest city (after Lhasa and Shigatse).
Shigatse(3900m) to Everest Base Camp (5200m) via Tingri

Qomolangma National Nature Preserve
After getting your Alien’s travel permit, and then drive to Lhatse, it is a small town where you can have lunch. After that, we will pass Tsola Pass(4600M), and Gyatsola Pass(5248M). Shortly after we enter Mt. Everest National Nature Reserve, tourists can enjoy the panorama of Himalaya at Gawula Pass(5198m).Then we drive along the New zigzag road to Everest Base Camp(5200m). You can get closer to gazt at the Mt. Everest peak. The sunset of golden Everest peak if time and weather permits at the lodging area.

Rongbuk Monastery
In the morning, you can see the sunrise appear on the top of Mt Everest, and have a full view of the magnificent Mount which stands like a snow-capped pyramid in front of you at Rongpuk, the vantage point for watching Mt. Everest. Then drive back to Shigatse.

Tashilunpo Monastery
You will start your day by heading to the Tashilunpo Monastery, which is the seat of Tibet's second highest incarnation, the Panchen Lama. Afterwards, you will be driven 175 miles (280km) back to Lhasa by following Yalong Valley through Friendship Highway. It takes about 6 hours.

Lake Namtso
In the morning, drive from Lhasa to Lake Namtso, one of the four holy lakes of Tibet and also the highest saline lake in the world. On the way, you can see snow-capped Nyenchen Thanglha Mountain Ranges and lots of nomads and their tent with grazing yak and sheep densely-populated on the flourishing grassland (in summer). Besides, you can enjoy the view of the Sky-Road Railway with snow mountain background; while standing at the famous Lagenla Pass(5190m), you can view the stunning vista of holy Namtso Lake. Then we can enjoy our time doing a leisurely trek around Tashi Dor Island and along the lakeshore. Drive back to Damxung. (For environment protection, the Lakeshore guesthouses were close by the government.) Stay overnight in Damxung.
Zhaxi Peninsula
There are five holy islets inside Lake Namsto, which are said to be the incarnation of the Five Buddhas. Among them, "Tashi Island " is the largest one that offers a full panoramic view of Lake Namsto.

After breakfast, you will take an off-road vehicle and a tourist shuttle bus to the Stone Elephant Gate, which is located on the northern shore of Namtso Lake and is considered the most breathtaking site of the lake region. The journey covers about 50 kilometers. The Stone Elephant Gate is a naturally formed rock that resembles a giant elephant, with its long trunk extending into the clear lake, as if devoutly drinking water. Under the azure sky, the snow-capped mountains are reflected in the mirror-like lake, complementing the drifting white clouds and creating a dreamlike, ethereal scene. Prayer flags flutter in the wind, and the sunlight shimmers on the lake like scattered gold, pure and peaceful. After exploring the Stone Elephant Gate, you will begin your return journey to Lhasa in the afternoon. The way back is mostly along well-paved highway, with a stop for lunch along the wa

5.00Trip to Tibet was the best, the most beautiful travel experience of my life. All organisational questions have been handled very promptly and everything else during the journey was taken care of by Tibet Vista, the group was of the ideal size, the tour guide Kaldor was very knowledgeable, lively, a great photographer and going the extra mile for us whenever possible. It was a real pleasure to travel under his supervision. As a solo female traveler I would recommend this trip to everyone. The beauty of the nature and the Tibetan culture are like much needed vitamins for one’s soul.

5.00I have been to Tibet 4 times. This time, our guide Mr Lobsang is very and very good. I give a 10/10 points. He helped a fellow travel mate up the steps in temple and kind enough to share a lot od details. He brought us to tie 藏旗on a mountain. I never ever expect to do this in Tibet. My last 3 visits didnt do this. This is my 2nd tour with Tibet Vista and the itiberary and guide are very good. The driver Alu is also helpful when we are trying to converse with locals [who speaks mainly 藏语】

The majestic view of Mt Everest was the greatest reward for our long bus journey from Xining. We are very grateful to our guide Tseyang who made our holiday so well organised and executed. 5.00It was a 10 day splendid journey with Tibet Vista Travel, and the experience was unforgettable. A huge part of what made this trip so exceptional was our guide, Ga Rong. His deep knowledge of Tibetan history, religion, and culture brought every site to life, and his sincerity and warmth made us feel both welcomed and well cared for. He checked in with us constantly to ensure we were adapting well to the high altitude, and his genuine concern made a big difference throughout the journey. This wasn’t just a trip filled with scenic photo stops, it was an immersive cultural experience. We stepped into ancient temples, witnessed the daily lives of monks, observed how they pray, and even watched their lively debate sessions. These moments offered us a rare glimpse into the heartbeat of Tibetan spirituality. There was plenty of fun and adventure, too! From riding on a yak, to getting up close with majestic Tibetan mastiffs, Tibetan calligraphy and flag printing, every activity added to the richness of the journey. The landscapes were absolutely breathtaking - Namtso Lake and Yamdrok Lake were stunning, their turquoise waters framed by fresh mountain air and sweeping horizons. Overall, this trip was meaningful, exciting, and truly eye-opening. Thanks to Tibet Vista Travel and especially Ga Rong, I came home with not just beautiful photos, but lasting memories and a deeper appreciation for Tibetan culture. All admissions covered! Perfect length of trip. Highly recommended!
Too many mistakes made by official agent

1.00We had a great time with the tour guide and the tour no doubt. It was good. But we had a big messed dealing with the mistakes official agent constantly made!!!! First, the xining lhasa train was cancelled and only last minutes informed. Causing us lost the few hundreds dollar vip train cancellation from xian to xining due to wrong time. Second, we booked soft seated trains 2 persons for 4 seats so we dont want mingle with strangers. During onboard we found out me and my friend put into different room but luckily we dealed with the passenger for switching room. There more! After checked in hotels, for the first day, they put our name into a wrong tour group!!!! I had to deal with few tour guides to get it right!! we also found out we paid the highest with regular hotel and found out our tour members paid lower rate but with upgraded hotels! And we didnt even realize we able to choose our own hotels at all. Caused i dont really get use to the normal hotels but i took it as usual not a problem. My conclusion: i am happy with tour and tour guide but the messed agent made not just us, the couple from melbourne also facing other mistake made by the agent!!! What ashamed.

5.00We signed up for a 10 days tour with Tibet Vista for November 2025. It was a comprehensive itinerary that allowed us to experience the main attractions of Tibet, and learn more about Tibetan culture and Tibetan Buddhism. Our guide Ga Rong was very caring and hardworking and took care of us very well during the trip. He passionately explained the cultural significance of each site, and also taught us a lot on Tibetan Buddhism, and also made sure that we were physically okay. We were fortunate that our group size was small, only 7 people in total. However, our group consisted of people with different language requirements. Thankfully our guide, Ga Rong, took the time and effort to explain to us in both English and Mandarin, and answered any questions patiently after that.

5.00We’ve just finished our 10-day Lhasa, EBC and Namtso Lake tour with Tibet Vista, and I wanted to express how much we appreciated Tenzin and Bai. Tenzin was an excellent guide — friendly, thoughtful, and super knowledgeable. I ended up learning far more than I expected to about Tibet, its history, and Tibetan Buddhism. He explained everything clearly and in such an enjoyable way. Our driver, Bai, was also great to travel with. He was consistently friendly, helpful, and brought a light, positive mood to the trip. We always felt safe with him, even on the long stretches of mountain roads. The places we saw were incredible: the Potala Palace, the many monasteries, and seeing Everest in person was something we’ll always remember. Tenzin and Bai played such a big part in making the whole tour smooth, enjoyable, and memorable. Anyone would be very lucky to have either of them on their tour team.
