Enjoy this multi-day tour and explore Tibet through some of its impressive sights: Potala Palaces, Jokhang temples, Drepung and Sera monastery, snow-capped mountains of Nyenchen Thanglha and holy lakes Yamdrok, real Tibetan villages and nomads. Lhasa is one of the highest cities in the world with the altitude of about 3600 meters and prides the world-highest salt lake Namtso. You will also visit the mystical Buddhist monasteries of the Kumbum Stupa in Gyantse, Tashilhunpho monastery in Shigatse.

Book at least 20 days in advance so tour operator may attain your Tibet Permit. Tibet Permit will be delivered to customers' delivery address / hotel address in one city of China. Please note your tour operator will contact you after the booking is confirmed.
Travelers are required to provide photocopy of passports and China L visas at least 20 days prior to travel date
Please Notice: Customers' airport pick-up and drop-off in Lhasa need be arranged by tour supplier. If customers fly to Lhasa from Kathmandu, please do not apply for China L Visa in advance, because customers need apply for their Tibet Group Visa from China Embassy in Kathmandu via travel agency. Before that, they need ask for invitation letter from tour supplier. If customers fly or take a train to Lhasa from one city of China, they need apply for their China L Visa from China Embassy in their country.

Upon arrival, our Tibetan guide will greet you at the airport or train station. You'll then be transferred to your hotel in downtown Lhasa. Along the way, you can enjoy the spectacular scenery of Yarlung Tsangpo River, Lhasa River, and the typical Tibetan villages. After arriving at the hotel, take some time to rest and acclimate to the high altitude. It's helpful to take it easy for the first few days and remember to stay hydrated by drinking water. Please note that there will be no sightseeing scheduled for today.
Lhasa Tour - Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street

Potala Palace
Today's tour will first bring you to the Potala Palace which is the winter palace of the Dalai lama. It was put to use since the 7th Century by the 33rd great king of Tibet. The most valuable collections of Potala Palace are the gilded burial stupas of former Dalai Lamas and meditation Cave of the 33rd great king of Tibet.
Jokhang Temple
Then after lunch, tourists head to Jokhang temple which was founded by the 33rd great king of Tibet in the 7th century. Inside you can see the statue of Buddha Sakyamuni at the age of twelve. Outside, you can see pilgrims making prostrating in front of Jokhang Temple.
Barkhor Street
Around the temple is Barkhor street, where you can do kora (a religious circle of a building or mountain) with pilgrims and locals, and explore the old market. Besides, We can taste Tibetan tea with locals in tea house; The welcome dinner will also be arranged accordingly.
Lhasa Tour - Drepung Monasteryand Sera Monastery

Drepung Monastery (Zhebang Si)
In the morning, you are going to visit Dadong Village, the most beautiful village in Lhasa. Located 25 kilometers southwest of Lhasa downtown, Dadong Village is a well-protected ancient Tibetan village that surrounded by valleys. After arriving, you will visit the Nyimatang Monastery (built in the 11th century), take a light walk in the village, and see what rural life in Lhasa is like. You will also visit a local Tibetan family and enjoy the lunch offered by the family. We will go to Dadong Village instead of Drepung Monastery.
Sera Monastery
In the Afternoon, Tourists will visit Sera Monastery which is another one of the “great three” Gelug monasteries of Tibet. The hot attraction is the Monks debate at around 3 - 5 in the afternoon. In addition, you can tour the Tibetan religious scripture printing house; inside the monastery, you can see three sand Mandalas and colorful Rock Painting of Buddha.
Lhasa (3650m) to Shigatse(3900m) via Gyantse

Yamdrok Yumtso Lake
In the morning, drive from Lhasa to Shigatse .On the way, drive over the Gampala pass (4790 m), and you will have a glimpse of Yamdrok-tso (4400m) .The Lake is surrounded by many snow-capped mountains and in the distance you can have spectacular views of Holy Mount Nyenchen Khangsar, (7191m) the highest mountain near Lhasa .
Karo La Glacier
Later, we will pass and enjoy the Karola Glacier on the roadside; At Manak Dam Lake, you can hang pray flag at Simila Mountain Pass; Then, we will arrive in Gyantse, historically Tibet's third largest city (after Lhasa and Shigatse).
Shigatse(3900m) to Everest Base Camp (5200m) via Tingri

Qomolangma National Nature Preserve
After getting your Alien’s travel permit, and then drive to Lhatse, it is a small town where you can have lunch. After that, we will pass Tsola Pass(4600M), and Gyatsola Pass(5248M). Shortly after we enter Mt. Everest National Nature Reserve, tourists can enjoy the panorama of Himalaya at Gawula Pass(5198m).Then we drive along the New zigzag road to Everest Base Camp(5200m). You can get closer to gazt at the Mt. Everest peak. The sunset of golden Everest peak if time and weather permits at the lodging area.

Rongbuk Monastery
In the morning, you can see the sunrise appear on the top of Mt Everest, and have a full view of the magnificent Mount which stands like a snow-capped pyramid in front of you at Rongpuk, the vantage point for watching Mt. Everest. Then drive back to Shigatse.

Tashilunpo Monastery
You will start your day by heading to the Tashilunpo Monastery, which is the seat of Tibet's second highest incarnation, the Panchen Lama. Afterwards, you will be driven 175 miles (280km) back to Lhasa by following Yalong Valley through Friendship Highway. It takes about 6 hours.

Lake Namtso
In the morning, drive from Lhasa to Lake Namtso, one of the four holy lakes of Tibet and also the highest saline lake in the world. On the way, you can see snow-capped Nyenchen Thanglha Mountain Ranges and lots of nomads and their tent with grazing yak and sheep densely-populated on the flourishing grassland (in summer). Besides, you can enjoy the view of the Sky-Road Railway with snow mountain background; while standing at the famous Lagenla Pass(5190m), you can view the stunning vista of holy Namtso Lake. Then we can enjoy our time doing a leisurely trek around Tashi Dor Island and along the lakeshore. Drive back to Damxung. (For environment protection, the Lakeshore guesthouses were close by the government.) Stay overnight in Damxung.
Zhaxi Peninsula
There are five holy islets inside Lake Namsto, which are said to be the incarnation of the Five Buddhas. Among them, "Tashi Island " is the largest one that offers a full panoramic view of Lake Namsto.

After breakfast, you will take an off-road vehicle and a tourist shuttle bus to the Stone Elephant Gate, which is located on the northern shore of Namtso Lake and is considered the most breathtaking site of the lake region. The journey covers about 50 kilometers. The Stone Elephant Gate is a naturally formed rock that resembles a giant elephant, with its long trunk extending into the clear lake, as if devoutly drinking water. Under the azure sky, the snow-capped mountains are reflected in the mirror-like lake, complementing the drifting white clouds and creating a dreamlike, ethereal scene. Prayer flags flutter in the wind, and the sunlight shimmers on the lake like scattered gold, pure and peaceful. After exploring the Stone Elephant Gate, you will begin your return journey to Lhasa in the afternoon. The way back is mostly along well-paved highway, with a stop for lunch along the wa

5.00Tibet Vista organised our motorcycle tour through Nepal and Tibet for a group of 13 of us. Fom meeting us at the Tibet border to seeing us off at the Lhasa airport, services were top notch.... paperwork, hand picked hotels, authentic restaurants, monasteries..... everything done just right. Lakpa, lead tour guide and our mechanic were right up there, courteous and forthcoming with everything we needed. Great tour put out by them. Showed us the spectacular side of Tibet.

5.00This was an incredible, action-packed tour, and our guide, Tenwang, made the experience exceptional. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. We learned so much about Tibetan culture and history while exploring Lhasa, and also experienced the stunning natural beauty beyond the city at Everest Base Camp, Namtso Lake, and many other unforgettable stops. I especially recommend requesting Tenwang as a guide. Having a local Tibetan guide who grew up in Shigatse and is deeply connected to the region’s culture, traditions, and history added tremendous depth to the experience. His knowledge, perspective, and positive attitude truly elevated the tour. I would strongly encourage anyone visiting Tibet to book with a local Tibetan guide for the most authentic and insightful experience possible. The tour would not be the same without a Tibetan local guide. Please support the local community.

5.00This is the best and most enjoyable tour I have joined and I have joined quite a few and this is all . It was a 13 day road trip from Chengdu all the way to Lhasa and Everest Base camp; through scenic mountain roads and passes. But all these would not have been possible without our local guide Mr. Pasang whose jovial, friendly, caring and helpful qualities made all the difference. Our group is essentially seniors with ages ranging from 50 to 80 years old. Pasang and the driver Mr. Wang ( Ibelieve) were fantastic. Most unforgettable is the day when we were caught in a massive 5 or 6 hour traffic jam on one of the mountain roads. If I am not mistaken, Pasang in his usual resourceful and calm demeanor helped moved the traffic. To add to our woes, it began to snow heavily around 8 pm when we were at the highest pass in our itinerary. Pasang and driver had to put snow chains on the coach's wheels in the cold freezing and wet conditions. When we reached our hotel around 11 pm, despite the long and tiring day, Pasang and driver still offered to buy us packet instant noodles and delivered to our rooms. Pasang's knowledge of Tibetan history and his narration of the historical sites and scenic sights spiced up with some of his personal experiences was marvelous.

5.00We have a fluent English speaking guide Pasang, he is very caring and experience, watching out for altitude condition, able to manage the sightseeing pace comfortably with good photos taking time allowance for us. He has fairly good knowledge of the historical narratives and his sharing of the Tibetan cultural traditions that is still being practiced today, is very much appreciated. Also like to expressed our thanks to the Driver 方师傅, he is very skillful, giving us great assurance of safety in the winding mountainous route under his control. It's a great holidays experience with our friends and largely, the good management and care provided by the serving team Pasang and 方师傅, thank you!

5.00Our trip was amazing. Our guide Kelsang and driver Lausanne took great care of us throughout the journey. Kelsang did an excellent job explaining the local culture and mythology, which made the experience even more meaningful. We truly enjoyed our time with the tour group.

5.00This was hands down, one of the greatest trips ever! My tour guide was Kiki, and my driver was Tashi. Kiki was so knowledgeable and provided great insights into Tibetan culture and history throughout the trip. She was also super fun to be around - my family and I were super engaged and had a lot of laughs with her around :) She accommodated to our every request, surprised us with lots of food, brought us to amazing lunch & dinner spots (+ hidden gems) and just made the trip a 10/10! My boyfriend also proposed to me at Everest Base Camp, and Kiki (being the amazing photographer that she is), took SO many amazing photos!!!! Kiki and Tashi also surprised us the next day at dinner with a huge cake to celebrate our engagement, which was so so sweet :”) It really shows that they go above and beyond to make clients feel special. Tashi, our driver, was also such a pro. He drove for long hours everyday without complaint. With over 32 years of driving experience under his belt, he was the MVP that made the trip possible for sure. As a person that gets motion sickness quite often, I did not once feel sick whilst in the car thanks to his smooth driving. Thanks Kiki and Tashi for making the trip so unforgettable. To prospective clients, do consider Tibet Vista! :) PS. Air is very dry. Do bring lots of moisturiser. To help with the altitude acclimatisation, do consider taking the train to Lhasa (longer hours, but your body will probably thank you for it).

5.00Kiki and Tashi were an integral part of making this trip so enjoyable. They attended to our every need while making every effort to accommodate what we wanted to accomplish on this Tibet trip. Kiki was very knowledgeable and always took the extra step in ensuring we had our best experience. Tashi was impeccable in his driving and navigation and ensured we were safe through the long rides. This trip would not be the same without them and I cannot recommend them enough. 10/10 would do it again.

5.00Gonpo is a tour guide dedicated to propagating Tibetan culture, allowing us to better understand Tibet's place, beliefs, customs, and the daily itinerary is full and rich. Pazhu is a very friendly driver, also very energetic, driving a long time every day very hard but all smiling, thank you for taking us to all places in Tibet to tour, thank you very much, it was a wonderful journey!
