This tour will take you to not only tourist attractions, but also to nice Japanese-style streets and back alleys. Please wear comfortable shoes.
Many places in Kyoto such as temples and taxis do not accept credit cards. Please be sure to have some Japanese yen ready before joining the tour.
＊On very hot summer days, it is recommended to change to Plan B course, which requires fewer steps and takes you to Chishakuin Temple( a hidden gem indoor temple) and Sanjusangendo Temple(famous for a forest of Buddhist statues).
The cab can accommodate four people. 3 guests + a guide, so if there are 4 guests, two taxis are required.
Attention: This tour is restricted to cruise ship guests who can independently reach Kyoto Station.

4.00Friendly tour guide made the logistics of seeing a lot in one day really easy. I am sure it is possible to do it on your own but for me well worth having a local to make it seamless and add some knowledge.

5.00Our guide Yoko was waiting for us at the designated meeting spot/time as agreed. She efficiently guided us through the city via walking, trains, and taxis. Yoko came prepared with a wealth of information on each site and the history of Kyoto, and Japan in general. She was a joy to be with and was eager to accommodate our various requests, such as looking for specific things to shop for or to eat. She let us set the pace as to how long we wanted to stay at each venue. Thank you, Yoko for showing us beautiful and historic Kyoto and making us feel like a part of your family!

5.00This was a fantastic tour that covered many of the major highlights & sights in an efficient manner - it was perfect for us because we only had 1.5 days in Kyoto (which was not enough overall), so the tour helped us maximize the experience. Our tour guide Naomi was phenomenal - funny, witty, knowledgeable, accommodating and flexible…we learned a lot from her and would highly recommend her.

5.00We had an absolutely wonderful day on this tour, and our guide Yoshi made it truly special. He was incredibly friendly, kind, and fun to spend the day with. This was the highlight of our first trip to Japan and a memorable experience from start to finish. The pace of the tour was excellent, and Yoshi was very accommodating. He went above and beyond to thoughtfully adjust routes to accommodate group members with limited mobility and was very careful and proactive regarding food allergies in the group. His level of attention and consideration made it possible for everyone to fully enjoy the day. We were able to see and experience far more than we ever could have on our own, which was especially valuable since we were short on time. Yoshi was extremely knowledgeable about all the sites we visited and happily answered every question we had, sharing fascinating insights about Kyoto’s history and culture along with many laughs throughout the day. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kyoto, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Yoshi as your guide.

5.00We had an amazing experience with miwako/olive. We spent 8 hrs with her touring Kyoto. She was informative and extremely accommodating to our group. One of our party had an issue gettting his luggage delivered to our Airbnb and we asked her to assist us to facilitate delivery. Despite her efforts the delivery didn’t not occur and ( HERE IS THE IMPORTANT PART). She called the company after our tour and arranged for the bags to be held at a local depot. I have never in my life experienced this level of service. Above and beyond. Mind blown!!!! Thank you for an amazing experience on the tour and an unheard of level of service. We cannot thank you enough you saved our trip. My friend would have had no clothing
