Your exciting journey starts with a bus drive along the Prithvi Highway from Kathmandu. A smooth drive on a black-topped road takes you to Dhading Bensi from where the road turns upward to Gola Bhanjyang and then slopes down to Ankhu Khola. At Arughat, you cross the Budhi Gandaki River and drive further to reach Sotikhola. We continue to drive two hours to reach Machhakhola. This Ten-hour long drive rewards you with scenic villages, rivers, terraced farms, and a good view of Mount Manaslu and Ganesh. Overnight in Machhakhola.
Trek to Jagat (1410m./3990ft.) -07 hours /22 km.

After breakfast, we prepare to trek to Jagat. First, we trek along the bank of Budhi Gandaki River and ascend through dense forests of Sal. The trail then takes us to Tatopani, which houses natural hot water springs. You can take a dip in the springs if you like. Then, we continue to trek on the banks of Budhi Gandaki again to reach Jagat. Overnight in Jagat.
Trek to Deng (1960m./6430ft.) -08 hours/22 km.

After our permits are approved, we start the trek to Deng. We first trek through the dense tropical forest and continue to trek alongside the Budhi Gandaki river. The trail of this part is through the forests, which is shelter to much rare wildlife. We continue to trek through the forests of the Manaslu region and come across many different villages like Bhatti Khola and Philim. We then cross the bamboo forest over Budhi Gandaki to reach Deng. Overnight in Deng.

From Deng, we cross a suspension bridge and continue to trek through the uneven trails. The trail leads us to Bihi Phedi. We continue from there to reach Ghap. The trail from Ghap is dangerous as it is prone to dry landslides. After crossing the landslide zone, we go past several Magar villages to reach Namrung. Overnight in Namrung.
Trek to Lho Gaon (3100m./10230ft.) -04 hours/10 km.

As we gain altitude, we start seeing a change in the vegetation and culture as well. We slowly enter the Tibetan cultured areas as we trek from Namrung. The trail takes us through the Mani walls and stone houses. On the way, we can also see the beautiful view of mountains like Mt Manaslu (8163m). After trekking for 4 hours, we finally reach Lho. Overnight in Lho.

After breakfast in Lho, we start our day with a trek towards Sama Gaon. We trek through beautiful pine and rhododendron forests. The breathtaking view of Mt. Manaslu (8163m) follows us throughout the trail. The trek is challenging, and also we gain altitude today. We trek for about five hours to reach Sama Gaon. Overnight in Sama Gaon.

Trekking to the higher altitude may become dangerous if you do not take proper rest. So, we rest for a day today in Sama Gaon. After breakfast, we explore the village and interact with the villagers. We will then hike to Pung Gyan Gompa, where we can enjoy the beautiful view of the Manaslu and other mountains around it. In the evening, you can interact with the locals and try local foods. Overnight in Sama Gaon.

After a day of rest and breakfast in Sama Gaon, we start our trek. We first trek through the pine forest, which slowly starts getting sparser. The vegetation disappears, and the land becomes barren. We trek to a remote and isolated part of the trail with the beautiful Mt. Manaslu (8163m) still keeping us company. The trek is about 4 hours along the banks of the reduced Budhi Gandaki River. Overnight in Samdo.
Head to Dharmashala (4200m./13780ft.) -05 hours/12km.

Today is one of the most important days of the trek as we trek west along with the views of Naike and Pangbuche peaks. After breakfast in Samdo, we cross a suspension bridge and continue through the uneven and rocky trail. You get a beautiful view of mountains in Manaslu and Himal Chuli range on the route to Dharmashala. After five hours of trekking, we reach Dharmashala. Overnight in Dharmashala.

Today, we trek through one of the most challenging and exciting trails of the trek. We will trek through the barren and remote part of the Manaslu region. The trek provides us with the beautiful view of Mt. Manaslu (8163m), the eighth highest mountain in the world. The trail ascends to the top of the Larkya La Pass (5160m) across the rough and snowy trails. From the top, you can relish the views of Larkya, Mansiri, Cheo, and Himlung Himal range. Later, you descend from the pass with a panoramic view of the mountains and glaciers. Overnight in Bimthang.

Today is the last day of our trek. After breakfast in Bimthang, we start our trek towards Dharapani. Today’s trek is more comfortable compared to the last few days. We will descend through the pine and rhododendron forests of the Manaslu region. On the way, the beautiful view of the snow-capped mountains follows us. Overnight in Dharapani.
Drive to Besisahar ( 840m./2772ft.) -04 hours/51km. - Drive to Kathmandu ( 1290m./4273ft.) -05 hours/160km.

After breakfast in Dharapani, we embark on jeep that takes us to Besisahar. The drive to Besisahar is about four hours. We drive through beautiful villages and hills. On the way, you get a lovely view of terraced fields and typical Nepali houses. After driving for about 3 hours, we arrive at Besisahar then we board the bus to Kathmandu. As we drive from Besisahar, we get a splendid view of paddy fields and beautiful settlements. After driving for about an hour, we join the Prithvi Highway and drive alongside the Trishuli River. The drive from here is about four hours. You will be transferred to the hotel in Kathmandu.

5.00Wow. What a trip! We booked 14 days Manaslu circuit trek and our guide Tek was amazing! Our trip ran alongside another group from alternative treks, with Ammar as their guide who is also awesome! Would 100% recommend booking a hiking trek with these guys and especially Tek and Ammar!

5.00It's all very well. We met, processed all the necessary documents, offered a porter, which greatly simplified the passage of the track. During the track, the guide and the porter tried to ensure both comfortable passage of the track and accommodation in the lodges. Were attentive to all issues that arose.

5.00The best experiences of our lives on the Manaslu + Tsum Valley trek! Our guide, Krishna, was incredible, such a kind-hearted person with a great sense of humor. He did everything to make sure the trek went well, and he was so much fun to hike with. He truly made the whole trek so much more special. The company was also super easy to communicate and plan with. Highly recommend!

5.00I can safely recommend this company, and here's why: 1) From the very beginning of communication, everything was clear. 2) We customized the standard program and asked if it was possible. everything turned out to be possible 3) we were quickly answered to all our questions and we agreed on everything very quickly 4) when we arrived, we were met at the airport and taken to the hotel 5) the next day, Tej came to our hotel with a guide and we discussed everything again and paid the rest of the money 6) everything was organized at the best level 7) our guide, Soroj, is a great guy! 8) everything that depended on the company as the organizer was done at the highest level. I was traveling to Nepal for the first time and was a little worried about the organizational aspects, but I was pleasantly surprised by how attentive Tej and his team were. We went through Manaslu and Annapurna circle and it was wonderful! Thank you so much for that!

5.00We had an amazing time trekking the Manaslu Circuit with the Tsum Valley with Nepal Alternative Treks. Everything was really well organised and ran smoothly from start to finish. The team were so accommodating and flexible, especially with our start date and even allowing us to add on the Tsum Valley last minute, which we really appreciated. They were always happy to go the extra mile too, like organising airport pickups, which made things really easy for us. Laxman, our guide, was brilliant. Super knowledgeable, relaxed, and always looking out for us. He was great at taking us to the best tea houses and helping us order the best food along the way. Ram, our porter, was also fantastic, carrying our things to lighten the load for us and always so keen to help out. We really enjoyed spending time with them both in the evenings playing cards and chatting, such a nice part of the experience. The trek itself was unreal. The views were just incredible the whole way round, and Tsum Valley in particular felt really special — much quieter and with a really strong sense of local culture. I would 100% recommend Nepal Alternative Treks, such a great team and an unforgettable trip!

5.00My wife and I did the Manaslu Circuit Trek and were very impressed under the guidance of Nauser, who was very knowledgable about the culture and mountains along the trek. It was my wife’s first long trek but we were all able to complete the trek with success. Nauser and our porter, Ram, kept us entertained along the way and made us feel comfortable in the middle of winter. Highly recommend them if you are planning on a trek in Nepal.

5.00My friend and I did the 17 day trekking Manaslu Circuit with Tsum Valley. It was absolutely amazing !! We were extremely well looked after by Tej and his team, and the walk was incredible. We could not recommend more.

5.00We did the Manaslu Trek over a total of 12 days, with 10 days of hiking – and it was an unforgettable experience. The landscapes along the way were absolutely stunning: from lush valleys and remote mountain villages to snow-covered peaks, every day offered something new. The trails were not too technical, but the high altitude definitely made them challenging. The accommodations were very simple, which is to be expected at these elevations – but that simplicity added to the authenticity of the trek. The highlight of the journey was crossing the Larke Pass at 5106 meters, a moment we’ll never forget. A huge thank you to our guide Raj and our two porters, Yona and Amrit, who took such great care of us throughout the trek. When I got injured, they were incredibly kind and made sure I got down the mountain safely. Overall, it was a truly amazing experience – physically demanding but deeply rewarding. If you’re looking to experience Nepal beyond the usual tourist trails, the Manaslu Circuit is an absolute must.
