Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a highlight for many visitors as this is where they will be visiting the home of the gentle giants. The park lies in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the Rift Valley. Uganda's oldest and most biologically diverse rainforests lies on the mist-covered hillsides. This magnificent forest dates back over 25,000 years, even surviving the last Ice Age (most forests disappeared). Bwindi forest has an incredible diversity of flora and fauna and is the only forest in Africa which can make claim to host both mountain gorillas and chimpanzees. In fact, half the worlds’ population of gorillas live here divided over nine habituated family groups. Also 5 other primate species, 120 species of mammal, over 220 butterflies and 360 bird’s species call Bwindi home. This is the place to see the critically endangered mountain gorillas up close for your very own ‘Gorillas in the Mist’ moment.

My trip was amazing, well organised with lovely accomodation and good food. My guide Hillary was a super safe driver, polite, knowledgable and great at spotting the wildlife, we saw so much and Hillary was happy to stop wherever for photo opportunities. I was always escorted to reception for every check in, all activities ran smoothly and the gorilla trek was a fabulous experience. Your guide will outside in the carport waiting for you upon arrival at the airport. Uganda is a truly beautiful country- a must on anyone's travel list. Thankyou Ngoni Safaris and Hillary for a great trip.

I am late on my review but feel no less privileged and honored to exclaim the glowing attributes of Ngoni Safaris and, in particular, our professional and experienced guides: Eddy, Allanie, and Hillary. We had a trip of a lifetime traveling to several national parks in Uganda seeing and photographing a multitude of land and aquatic animals. We also immersed ourselves in the splendid culture along the way by our welcoming hosts at every community, hotel, and resort. The crowning touch to this 5-star journey with Ngoni is the diligence, thorough preparation, patience, hospitality, and superb wit and humor of our guides. They always went “above and beyond” for us! Thank you, always!

Our drivers were outstanding taking the time to make sure we were able to experience as much as we could from the safaris, grills, chimp and golden monkey tracking to local cultural spots. Hillary, my driver, Eddy and Allanie were so attentive. We began the trip as strangers and when I left I felt we were close friends. So if you are considering a trip to Uganda, check out Ngonisafari tours 💙🦍🐒🇺🇬

Review: 24-Day Uganda Trip Our 24-day trip to Uganda was nothing short of incredible. Every single day was packed with activities and offered something new and exciting. The itinerary was wonderfully varied, ranging from wildlife encounters and breathtaking nature to thrilling safaris and challenging hikes. The program was so well thought out that we truly feel like we’ve experienced the essence of Uganda. We were absolutely blown away by the beauty of the country—it’s simply stunning. A big highlight of the trip was our guide, who took excellent care of us from day one. He made sure we had everything we needed, kept us well-informed, and ensured we felt safe throughout the journey. This trip exceeded all our expectations, and we cannot recommend Uganda enough as a destination for adventure and natural beauty.

A group of 8 from Russia, experienced Africa visitors, had been blessed by gods and weather to see and admire the pearls of Central Africa - Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi with gorillas (exciting!), chimpanzee (closest relatives!), elephants, hippos, rhinos etc. - with plenty of encounters with Mother Africa’s wonders (Murchison Falls, game rides, river cruises, cultural villages, Burundi drummers etc.). Guide Eddy was most helpful and effective - driving hundreds of km per day and giving profound info; guide Hillary is on his way to be as effective (but this will take some time!).

My sister and I had the time of our lives! We had great expectations for this trip, but you never know what reality awaits when you set foot in a foreign country and a new culture. The trip exceeded our expectations! Our guide - Eddy the Elephant Son - was gracious, kind, and well-versed on Ugandan history, wildlife, and culture. He was easy to be around, but also allowed us plenty of alone/down time. Just when we thought we saw the most magnificent wildlife or sunrise or vista, the next day would be even more spectacular. We spent an hour in the jungle with a family of mountain gorillas, including a silverback and a 3-month old baby. We were inches from the gorillas and chimps. We saw countless giraffes and elephants on the savannahs. We rafted the Nile, which was exhilarating beyond belief! Generally, Ugandans were hospitable and kind. It was a real treat to tour some of the communities and visit with local artisans, a coffee maker and a medicine man. The food was outstanding and almost every lodge accommodated my gluten allergy. I highly recommend ALL the pumpkin soup. We both recommend Ngoni and Uganda. What a gorgeous country!

After initial good contact with Sedrick back in 2020, but cancellation due to Covid, we had decided to do our honeymoon with Ngoni Safaris this June. We did not do this 13-day trip but a very similar itinerary. We opted for a 12 days Gorilla, Chimps, Big 5 and nature sighting Safari and what can we say, this trip was incredible. We trusted Sedrick and his team in arranging this trip for us and selecting and booking the accommodations and permits for us. Contact prior to the trip was mainly through WhatsApp, with updates and further info provided upon request. After all, everything went very smooth and this trip exceeded our expectations (first time travelling in East Africa). With the Gorilla trekking being the main reason to come to Uganda, we can now conclude that every day was a highlight. Our guide, driver and new friend Eddy was one of the main reasons for this. Eddy has a lot of knowledge about the country, the culture, national parks and the animals, and was very happy to share his knowledge with us. He knows every speed bump in this country, is an excellent spotter of animals and overall, a very friendly, social and caring person. During this trip we visited Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Murchison Falls NP, Kibale NP for Chimp Trekking, Queen Elisabeth NP, Bwindi NP for Gorilla Trekking, Lake Bunyonyi and Lake Mburo NP for a walking safari. The selected accommodations were great with very attentive staff. At two occasions, a candlelight dinner had been arranged for us which was lovely. Buffalo Safari Lodge in Queen Elizabeth NP was the most spectacular accommodation with elephants coming very close to the cottages and the pool area in their search for water and food. A few short-notice changes were made to our itinerary, but all were made in our best interest. We can 100 % recommend Ngoni Safaris and travelling with Eddy. Hope to see you again very soon!
