  We would like to give our warmest recommendation to our guide, Prem Dahal. We are a couple from Denmark who have long wanted to go The Manaslu Circuit. In this connection, we reached out to one of our friends who recommended Prem. They had gone to Manaslu together a few years ago and he put us in touch. From the first contact Prem has been super professional and he has been very attentive to our needs and wishes for the trip. When we arrived in Kathmandu, Prem picked us up at the airport and walked us to the hotel. Our trip started on our 3rd holiday and everything was very organized and we felt completely safe throughout the trip. Prem guided us over Larke Pass in the best way, and we are incredibly happy to have shared such a great experience with him. In connection with our return journey, Prem came to our hotel and he accompanied us to the airport and wished us a safe journey. 

Apart from organizing our trip to Manaslu, Prem has reached out and been extremely helpful throughout our 6 week journey. 

We will thus give him our warmest recommendations!

  This year we did another trek with the great Heaven Himalaya trekking company (last year I trekked in the Everest Region for 24 days, the Annapurna Region with a friend for 8 days and did an Upper Mustang Jeep tour with them for 12 days - all with the Heaven Himalaya company). This fall we combined 3 treks into one 26 day trek first going into the beautiful and culturally rich Tsum Valley, then did the Manaslu Circuit over the Larke La and finished with the Annapurna Circuit. Heaven Himalaya secured the best lodging for us and thought of every detail - they managed Jeep rides and plane flights and everything in between. Everyone with the company is incredibly professional, supportive and kind. Our guides Shankar Adhikari and Babu as well as our porter Anish were exceptional and we consider them friends. We can’t thank HH enough for another wonderful experience. • Manaslu circuit

  I left at the beginning of May to do the Manaslu tour trek solo with guide and porter. My trek was well organized from start to finish and the best lodges were reserved for me. I always felt safe and appreciated the flexibility of being able to reduce my trek duration from 14 days to 12 days by walking more hours during the day. I thank Heaven Himalaya for allowing me to live this incredible experience. I highly recommend!

  The Manaslu Circuit trip was everything and more than we wanted. We asked for a quieter trip but still to see the majesty of Nepal and that is exactly what Heaven Himalaya provided. They made the trip so easy. Everything was organised, smooth and stress free. The guide and the porter were kind, friendly and knowledgeable. They arranged the best accommodation and food possible each day. Also heaven Himalaya helped us easily change itineraries slightly to encompass extra side trips during our stay. • Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley - the best possible trekking experience

  We booked our trek about three months before the trek itself, and throughout the process Ramhari and Sanjeev were extremely helpful and patient with our endless questions. We opted for the Tsum Valley extension to the Manaslu Trek, as we wanted a more remote and less populated route (locals and trekkers). We could not be more delighted with our trek and the whole Nepal experience which Heaven Himalaya arranged for us. Having followed the guidance on the excellent HH website, our kit weighed about 20kg (for the porter) plus our own small backpacks (of about 5kg each). I can offer tips on what to take / not to take if anyone wishes. We got on really well with our guide, Dipak, and our porter, Babu, and between all of us we discussed modifications to the planned itinerary so that we had minimal 'resting' days. This meant that we covered the ground a lot quicker than planned, and Babu had to work extra hard, but he and Dipak were excellent throughout, showing true professionalism, admirable flexibility and great humour in all situations. All of our modifications to the itinerary were subject to satisfactory acclimatisation: we were fine, but this wasn't the case for some trekkers, and Dipak was careful to ensure that we didn't try to do anything which we were not ready for. The trek itself was like nothing else, especially the Tsum Valley. It was like stepping into a bygone era, and it was a real privilege to be able to travel and live for a short while in the land of these Tibetan-descended people. Their friendliness and hospitality was faultless, and we enjoyed sights and experiences which are very rare these days. Unlike the Tsum Valley (which is an out-and-back excursion), the Manaslu circuit is walked by (almost) all trekkers in an anti-clockwise direction, so we only met tourists when we were overtaking them or at the Tea Houses, which meant that it felt even more remote. Throughout the trek, the scenery and landscape were surprisingly varied, and included forest, valleys, plains, farmland and lots of boulder-strewn tracks. Several landslides provided potentially dangerous crossings, but our guide was very careful to ensure they were crossed as safely as possible. A particular treat was the number and variety of animals, from domestic dogs and chickens to mules, ponies, cattle, oxen and yaks, plus some bonuses such as vultures, Wild Blue Sheep, Wild Goats, various monkeys and lizards, and thousands of butterflies. Bizarrely, the busiest place was the lodge on the night before the Larka La Pass crossing: there is only one 'guest house' and so everyone has to stay there. It was an early start for the crossing (0500 set-off for us, and we were last to leave), and the trekking was tough. This was the one day on which Dipak insisted that we walk at his pace, due to the risks from oxygen shortage at 5000m. For the first time, we could not have gone faster if we'd wanted to.... it was quite hard work: a few dizzy spells and minor headaches were our worst symptoms, but some people really suffered. (Succumbing to AMS is almost entirely random..... two porters from other groups had to turn back at 4000m). We would highly recommend Heaven Himalaya, our Guide Dipak and our Porter Babu. Everyone had the perfect balance of professionalism, hard work and great humour, which meant that the trek went exactly as we wished. As a bonus, our rapid pace meant that we had a few days in Pokhara after the trek, and we would thoroughly recommend the city (far better than Kathmandu) if you can spare a few days after your trek.

  In September, I hired Heaven Himalaya to take me to EBC. I was very impressed with the high degree of professionalism and the care with which they treat customers. Always willing to give prompt and honest answers to many questions. On the penultimate day of the trail, in Lobuche, I suffered from altitude sickness and had to be urgently rescued by helicopter. Sanjib spared no effort in bringing me to Kathmandu in the most efficient way possible. I was treated very well in the hospital. Despite the scare, I still dream of returning to Nepal and conquering the EBC, and maybe even reaching the summit of Kala Patthar, together with my great guide Sagaar. When that happens, I will definitely hire Heaven Himalaya again. Thank you very much for everything and see you soon.

  What a fantastic family trek we had thanks to Heaven Himalaya and it’s team ! Walking in the Himalaya and going to the EBC was a long-time dream for us. Heaven Himalaya, its Director Ramhari and our guide Bishal, have been extremely helpful and accommodating to help us making this project a reality. Due to school and work holidays, we hqd limited flexibility for the dates. also, when several other organisations did not accept my son due to his age (14), with Heaven Himalaya, we had the privilege to walk as a family group, under the kind care of our guide Bishal - always attentive to our wellbeing and safety. From the time of booking to the end of the trek, all our questions were dealt with very promptly and clearly and it was obvious that the organisation was solid and trustfully, as well as very flexible and customer oriented. During the trek, all the stress and not-so-fun tasks such as arranging accommodation, meals, unexpected delays etc…, were taken care very efficiently by our guide and it is such a privilege to be able to fully enjoy the experience. I honestly cannot think of any ‘could do better’, each day of our trip was just happy surprises and enjoyment. I would like to thank Heaven Himalaya for this and can only recommend them. If I came back to Nepal one day (I wish !) I will for sure use their five star services again.

  I had a great experience with Heaven Himalaya doing the Manaslu circuit trek. They helped me to organize all the details of the trip, from the moment I arrived in Kathmandu to the end of the trip, and they did everything with a great level of professionalism and good service. • Above and Beyond on the Annapurna Circuit

  Ram runs an extremely professional team at Heaven Himalaya who made my trek on the Annapurna Circuit an amazing experience. Yes, lots of people do hike the Annapurna Circuit on a shoestring without the assistance of a tour company or a guide - but it was absolutely worth it to have the Heaven Himalaya team took care of me, which they did from the moment I landed in Kathmandu until I left the country, so I could have the peace of mind to focus on enjoying the breathtaking views that the trail to offer. To illustrate, within 24 hours of my initial inquiry, Ram proposed a fully populated itinerary customized for my requested dates. Not only that, I ended up requesting some additional changes to the itinerary while we were already underway, which Ram and my guide Raj worked to accommodate on the fly. My guide Raj was also knowledgeable and helpful in every regard, and he and my porter Babu worked tirelessly during the two weeks on the trail to make sure I had every need taken care of and that I was having the best experience possible. All in all, I had a fantastic time in Nepal thanks to the Heaven Himalaya team and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to do some trekking in the country!
