17-Mile Drive offers the ultimate experience to explore the peninsula. You will ride from our bike shop in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea. Your guide will take you to all of the best spots in Pebble Beach. You'll pass iconic landmarks such as The Lodge at Pebble Beach, The Lone Cypress, Bird Rock, Point Joe, Spanish Bay, and Crocker Grove, which is home to the largest and oldest Cypress trees in existence.
The minimum for a non-private tour to operate is 4 riders. We reserve the right to cancel the tour with full refunds, or convert you to a private guided tour (additional rates apply), or combine your booking with another at a different time and/or day, or convert the tour to a standard rental reservation (no tour guide, freedom of route and timing). As necessary, these options will be reviewed with the customer for their approval 24 hours before the reservation.
For parties of 1 or greater than 10, with dogs or children, or any other special requests, please call to inquire and book.

5.00Make sure you wear warm clothing and gloves! It helps if you have electric bike experience. But if not you will be fine if your your leader is Leslie! She is is to follow and she’s concerned with your Saco and knowledge!

5.00Leslie was AMAZING. She took time to teach us how to operate the bikes, and she was very knowledgeable about the 17-mile drive, its history and interesting facts. She even had laminated information sheets.

5.00Our tour guide, Cathy, was lovely: kind, knowledgeable, and funny. Cathy knows her stuff about Carmel and delivers her knowledge with a charming, personal touch. There are too many hidden gems in Carmel to see on your own. Mad Dogs—and Cathy—will help you find them. You must take this tour while you’re here! Cathy’s help went beyond the tour. She provided several of food and wine recommendations—they all were great. Cathy went as far as to call restaurants while riding to help us make a reservation. She offered to take pictures, brought binoculars to help see wildlife, and made extra space in her backpack available to us. All of which made the tour that much more enjoyable. Side note: the electric bikes provided by Mad Dogs are comfortable and so fun to ride through the California landscape. Also, the bike shop is really cool and has friendly staff. Can’t recommend Mad Dogs and Cathy enough. We are already planning our next trip to Carmel and these guys are a big reason we fell in love with the area.

5.00My boyfriend and I took our dog Blue in the side car ebike and it was one of the most epic experiences of all our lives. Blue absolutely loved every second of the ride sniffing the air, tongue out happy as can be. The 17 mile scenic drive by ebike was absolutely beyond stunning. Couldn’t recommend this company more the staff were very helpful and kind

5.00First time on a motorized bicycle and I loved it. Great way to see the area and learn some local information. We were able to ride into Pebble Beach Golf Club.

5.00This was such a great way to see 17 Mike Drive! It was a beautiful day and our guide, Leslie, was wonderful! She was knowledgeable, fun, and took our safety very seriously. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this and highly recommend this tour!!

5.00We took a 17 mile drive tour with John and highly recommend. The bikes are newer with just the right amount of power. John is a local who knows and cares about his community. You will see breath taking views and oodles of mega sized homes along the 17 mile stretch. John provides just the right amount of information and history of Carmel and Pebble Beach.
