From there, our route takes us through the Desert Highway for approximately 3 hours- 235 kilometers as we head towards the enchanting city of Petra. Experience the marvels of Jordan as your journey begins with a captivating exploration of Petra, the Rose City. Delve into its rich history, dating back to the Nabataean tribe in the 6th century BC. As the day draws to a close, bid farewell to Petra and head south to the enchanting Wadi Rum. Known as the "valley of the moon," this breathtaking desert landscape has served as the backdrop for iconic films like Lawrence of Arabia and The Martian. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of the desert as you settle in for an overnight camping experience where you'll have a chance to enjoy the dazzling night skies of Wadi Rum, concluding your day in a perfect way filled with wonder and exploration.

Wadi Rum

Wadi Rum boasts untouched natural beauty shaped over millions of years by geological processes. Its canyons, ravines, and rock bridges offer thrilling opportunities for scrambling, rock climbing, and trekking. Despite its arid nature, Rum is far from depopulated. Indeed, the region is home to the semi-nomadic Bedouin who live in great goat hair tents, tending their herds of sheep and goat and preserving an ancient lifestyle. British soldier T.E. Lawrence, renowned especially for his liaison role during the Arab Revolt of 1916-18 and whose vivid personality and writings made him the object of fascination throughout the world, waxed lyrical about the Rum area, describing it as ‘vast, echoing and godlike’. Please note, our overnight stay in Wadi Rum includes no activities. However, weather permitting, you may witness the mesmerizing sunset. The jeep tour will commence the following morning, offering a chance to explore and experience the unique beauty of this remarkable desert landscape.

Wadi Rum

Enjoy your breakfast at the campsite, then embark on a thrilling 2-hour 4x4 jeep safari across the moonscape terrain of Wadi Rum, famously described by T. E. Lawrence as "vast, echoing, and God-like." Traverse the Protected Area, navigating sand dunes and marveling at the spectacular scenic views of Wadi Rum—a peaceful landscape adorned with incredible rock formations and towering cliffs of brownish, reddish, and golden hues.

Dead Sea Region

After the jeep tour, we'll embark on a scenic drive of up to 3.5 hours to reach the Dead Sea, one of the world's most incredible destinations. Its unique characteristics are evident as no living fish inhabit its waters. Yet, its calm, shining surface, reflecting the scorching sun, offers a mesmerizing sight. Known for its high concentration of salt and minerals, the Dead Sea provides a therapeutic and unforgettable swimming experience. Enjoy some free time to swim and rejuvenate before returning with an hour driving to your hotel in Amman, concluding a day filled with extraordinary adventures and unforgettable memories.
