  This tour was well organised and did exactly what they promised. Jackson was a good guy to be in the company of for a couple of days and obliged wherever and however he could to add to the experience.

  Bamboo Ecotours were exceptional. They were very responsive to emails. They assisted us with accommodation and visa requirements. Their driver was knowledgeable and a good safe driver. Everything worked like clockwork. I will definitely use Bamboo Ecotours when I return. I highly recommend them.

  Fred is the best! He picked us up in Kigali and drove us to Uganda, his driving skills are amazing and he was so friendly and informative. He took us to a lunch place in Uganda and the food was amazing he was very patient with us, he answered all our dumb questions and offered lots of local knowledge.   It was super well organised and flexible. Our driver Fred was really nice, gave some explanations on the way and even picked us up at the border when our plans changed. I can really recommend the tour.

  Gorilla trekking was the highlight of our trip to East Africa but getting the permits is challenging. Edison talked us through the process and reassured us with his integrity. Handing over the permit money in advance to a complete stranger was potential risk but Edison handled the process with fairness and competence. He is a good communicator who kept in touch as the trek approached. Amanya picked us up on the day and handled the admin. Be aware that they don't come on the trek with you as numbers are limited and the park provides the guide and trackers

  Bamboo tours is great! Very knowledgeable and respond promptly. Fred our driver was the best! Highly recommend going to see the gorillas and golden monkeys.

  I had three days in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Kisoro District courtesy of Bamboo Ecotours and the Ugandan Wildlife Authority. I stayed at Rushaga Lodge. Lovely food, comfortable lodgings and friendly atmosphere with great views. Edison was very patient, clear and responsive in communicating with me back and forth ahead of my trip. John Bosco my driver was good craic and good conversation. The drives between Kigali and Bwindi and back down to Kivu felt at ease and relaxing. Incredible scenery on the drives alone. Seeing gorillas in their own habitat was a privilege that not everyone can experience. Part of me believes these peaceful creatures would be best left alone completely. However, the reality is tourism revenue contributes significantly to conservation of their habitat and the Ugandan Wildlife Authority. Gorilla numbers have rebounded but are still so precious. Follow the instructions of the UWA. Take an incredible snap or two but also just sit, observe and take in the peace at being near these lovely primates. I also visited the Batwa Indigenous Community co operative. These people lived in synch with the forest but are now trying to adapt to a modern world. It is important their story is seen and heard.

  I went with a friend and would highly recommend Bamboo Ecotours. We were picked up by our driver Jackson in Kigali and he drove us through the Uganda land border. We had lunch near the border and arrived at our lodging by the afternoon. We had a good dinner and got ready for the next day. We went to one of the gates of Bwindi and were greeted by local guides and porters. I would highly recommend hiking boots and gardening gloves as it gets muddy and the thorns are everywhere. We found the family of 17 gorillas an hour into our hike. We were able to stay with the gorillas for an hour and proceeded to exit the park. It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who have this on their bucket list. Thank you Jackson for being a great host and took great care of us.

  Exactly the kind of company I like to work with for tour!. Excellent communication, on time, attentive and willing to answer all our crazy questions. Jackson was our driver and he was an excellent representative of the company. He was personable, answered all our questions, knew the area and the terrain. He is a good driver and kept us apprised of things ahead of time. We requested a local meal on our adventure to Bindi and it was both a great experience and the food delicious. Bamboo does a great job guiding you through visas, what to wear/bring and super important details. Again, super responsive on Whatsapp. I would recommend it without hesitation. Gorilla trek was on my bucket list, this was amazing.
