It's the perfect prelude to the wonders that await.
Lake Minnewanka
Our first stop is the enchanting Lake Minnewanka. Here, you'll have the opportunity to stroll along the lakeshore and soak in the panoramic views of one of Banff National Park's largest and most captivating lakes. The turquoise waters against the backdrop of towering peaks create a scene straight out of a fairy tale.
Two Jack Lake
Next, we'll visit the tranquil Two Jack Lake, a serene oasis reflecting the jagged mountain backdrop like a pristine mirror. Take a deep breath of the crisp mountain air, stretch your legs, and let the natural beauty envelop you. It's a photographer's dream, so have your camera ready to capture these idyllic moments.
Banff Avenue
Midday finds us in the charming Town of Banff for a delightful lunch. Explore quaint boutiques, indulge in local culinary delights, and perhaps sip on a handcrafted coffee. The town's lively atmosphere, nestled amidst majestic mountains, offers a unique blend of rustic charm and modern comforts.
Surprise Corner
Nestled within the serene embrace of Banff National Park, Surprise Corner unveils itself like a whispered secret of the mountains. As you meander along Tunnel Mountain Road, an unexpected vista gracefully unfurls, presenting a tableau of timeless elegance. Here, the grand Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel stands as a testament to architectural splendor, poised regally against the dramatic backdrop of rugged peaks and the verdant Bow Valley.
In the afternoon, we'll embark on a short hike to the lower falls at Johnston Canyon. Wander along well-maintained trails and catwalks that weave through the canyon, leading you to the thundering waterfalls. The sound of cascading water and the scent of pine create an immersive nature experience that's both invigorating and soothing.
Our day culminates with a thrilling sightseeing chairlift ride at Mount Norquay. Ascend above the treetops to panoramic vistas of the Banff townsite and the sprawling valleys below. As you glide upward, keep an eye out for wildlife—it's not uncommon to spot bighorn sheep or deer amidst the alpine meadows. At the summit, soak in the breathtaking 360-degree views, a perfect finale to an extraordinary day. As the sun begins to set, we'll journey back to Calgary, your heart full and your camera brimming with memories.

Our first destination is the world-renowned Lake Louise. Be prepared to be awestruck by its mesmerizing turquoise waters, framed by towering peaks and the Victoria Glacier. Stroll along the shoreline, breathe in the crisp alpine air, and let the serene beauty wash over you. It's a landscape that's captivated travelers for generations.
Valley of the Ten Peaks
Picture a scenic path winding through a symphony of nature’s finest compositions. The towering peaks rise majestically, each one like a regal sentinel watching over the valley. The drive itself is a visual serenade, with the sun casting golden hues on the rugged cliffs and the trees swaying in rhythm with the gentle breeze. As you navigate the turns, the peaks seem to dance around you, their reflections shimmering in the crystal-clear lakes that dot the landscape. Each bend in the road reveals a new tableau of grandeur, as if an artist has meticulously crafted each scene with brushstrokes of emerald green forests and sapphire blue skies. It’s a road that beckons you to pause and drink in the beauty, to let the serenity of the mountains infuse your soul.
Moraine Lake
And then, as if nature’s grand crescendo, Moraine Lake comes into view. Its vivid turquoise waters, cradled by the soaring peaks, create a scene so breathtaking it feels almost otherworldly. As you approach, the sight of the lake's shimmering surface, framed by rocky giants, takes your breath away. The peaks stand like silent guardians, their reflections dancing upon the lake in perfect harmony. It's a symphony of colors, with the azure sky above, the emerald forests, and the crystalline waters below. Take a leisurely stroll along the shore, where every step reveals a new angle of beauty. Perhaps climb the Rockpile Trail for an elevated view, where the entire valley stretches out before you like a grand tapestry woven by the hands of nature herself.
The adventure continues as we embark on a scenic drive along the Icefields Parkway, one of the most spectacular drives on the planet. Winding through the heart of the Rockies, this route offers endless opportunities for awe-inspiring views of glaciers, cascading waterfalls, and verdant valleys.
Bow Lake
We'll make a stop at Bow Lake, another gem of the Rockies. The calm waters reflect the surrounding peaks in perfect symmetry, offering an ideal spot for tranquility amidst nature's grandeur. It's the perfect place to pause and soak in the serene ambiance.
Peyto Lake Trail
Our final highlight is the Peyto Lake Viewpoint. A short walk brings you to an overlook offering panoramic views of this glacier-fed lake, famed for its intense blue-green color. Shaped like a wolf's head when viewed from above, Peyto Lake is a photographer's paradise and a fitting finale to our exploration.
Vermilion Lakes Viewpoint
The viewpoint is a canvas painted with hues of green, blue, and gold. In the morning, mist dances delicately over the water, while at sunset, the sky transforms into a breathtaking tapestry of fiery oranges and soft pinks, casting a golden glow over the landscape. It's a moment that feels both timeless and fleeting, urging you to capture it with your eyes, your heart, and perhaps a camera. As we make our way back to Calgary, the fading light casts a golden glow over the mountains, providing a serene backdrop to reflect on the incredible experiences of the past two days.

It is a great experience with a great itinerary and logistics all taken care of. The tour guides, Dan and Dair, are helpful and nice. Dan was amazing, as he made a lot of effort to make the long travel time between the lakes interesting. He even hiked with us to give us a better experience. Dair was also nice enough to flexibly adjust the time in each place according to our interests. I would recommend this tour to others.

Just finished day 2 of this wonderful tour. Day 1 Kevin took us to Johnson Canyon lower falls, and multiple other great scenic spots. We had lunch in Banff and the took the chairlift up the Norquay. A bit scary, but totally worth it. Day 2 Patrick took us to 5 of the most scenic lakes in Alberta! Both tour guides were knowledgeable and fun. This is the way to get around! Let the pros do the driving and worry about parking! We were even picked up at our hotel in Canmore. Great customer service. Lake Morraine was my favorite!
