Charyn Canyon

Your journey begins with a morning pick-up(07:30-08:00am) from your accommodation in Almaty, followed by a scenic drive(2-3h) towards Charyn Canyon. Upon arrival, you will explore the canyon on foot, walking(2-3h) through the famous Valley of Castles. This area is known for its unique rock formations shaped over millions of years. You will have time to enjoy panoramic viewpoints, take photos, and explore the surroundings. Afterward, continue to Kurtogay Moon Canyon, where the landscape changes dramatically. The soft, layered hills create a distinctive moon-like scenery, offering a completely different visual experience. The next stop is Black Canyon, where you will enjoy a short stop at a viewpoint overlooking the deep river gorge — a perfect place for photos and a quick rest. In the evening, you will arrive in Saty village, check in at a guest house, and enjoy a traditional dinner.

Lake Kaindy

After breakfast at the guest house, you will check out and begin the day with a drive to Lake Kaindy, one of the most unique natural sites in the region. Surrounded by forested mountains, the lake is famous for its submerged trees rising above the turquoise water, creating a truly unusual and photogenic landscape. You will have time to walk around the lake, enjoy the views, and take photos. Next, continue to Kolsai Lakes, often referred to as the “Pearls of the Tien Shan.” Here you can relax by the water, take a walk along the shoreline, and enjoy the peaceful mountain scenery. After the visit, return to the guest house for lunch. In the afternoon, begin the drive back to Almaty. Arrival in the evening with drop-off at your accommodation.
