We do not provide pick-up or drop off service.
The order of the itinerary depends on the season, weather, and opening hours. Unforseen events (weather, special events, traffic, etc) may result in a visit only on outside of one castle. Delays in arrival time to Bucharest may occur also due to these uncontrollable factors.
For independent booking of castle tickets, we advise to check the itinerary. Precise timings cannot be provided. We do not offer assistance.

On the first day you will be picked up from Bucharest and we will drive towards the beautiful Prahova Valley.
Peles Castle
Our first stop will be at the imposing and magnificent palace of Peles. Built by the royal family of Romania during the 19th century, this palace offers an insight of 19th century German Renaissance style of decorations.
Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle)
The next stop will be in Bran Castle, known also as Dracula’s Castle. The imposing construction watches over a valley from a strategic position, it was originally built as a fortress at the former border between Wallachia and Transylvania. Together we shall discover the connection between the legendary ruler, Vlad the Impaler, and the infamous vampire.
Brasov Historical Center
In the afternoon we will head to the city of Brasov, a city that retains its medieval charm with the help of its well kept historical center. Our walking tour of this lovely town starts from the main square from where we shall admire the old City Hall with its clock tower, the monumental Gothic Black Church, the fortifications, the two watch towers up the hill, the craftsmen guilds and the narrowest street in Europe.

In the evening sets in we will reach Sighisoara, where you will be accommodated.
Sighisoara - Sibiu - Bucharest
Centrul Istoric Sighisoara
After breakfast, we will go on a walking tour of the medieval citadel of Sighisoara, one of the very few permanently inhabited citadels in Europe. This is also the birthplace of the legendary Vlad Dracula, whose house we will see, after which we will climb to the top of the 500 year old clock tower for a fantastic view over the town.
Sibiu Travel
Next stop will be Sibiu, also known as Hermannstadt. This is the heart of the German community living in Romania, the German Saxons having lived here for over 800 years. A former European capital of culture, Sibiu boasts many great sights from medieval times when it was a citadel: the Great Square, the Brukenthal Museum and an infamous Bridge of Lies. Afterwards, we drive along the spectacular Olt river valley going back to Bucharest.

5.00We booked the 2 Day Medieval Transylvania Tour with Brasov, Sibiu, and Sighisoara from Bucharest and it exceeded every expectation. Our guide Emanuel was the best. He was knowledgeable, intuitive, and always perfectly timed with every stop. You can tell he truly loves what he does and it made the entire experience feel seamless and full of history. The tour is a small group experience which we loved. Note that the tour needs at least four people. We only had two, so we paid for the extra seats. It ended up turning our trip into a private tour and honestly it was the best case scenario. It was still way more affordable than booking a private tour on its own and absolutely worth it. The itinerary was well paced, the sights were unforgettable, and the journey through Transylvania felt like stepping into a real life medieval story. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Romania. And if you get Emanuel as your guide you are in for something special.

1.00Book with this company at your own risk! I booked the two 2 day tour over 2 months ago and paid in full at the time. As the overnight accommodation in Sighisoara is not included, a non- refundable hotel booking was made. I attempted on 3 occasions to communicate with the tour operator regarding timings of the itinerary, so I could book castle tickets in advance and avoid queues on the day — not a single reply. 12 hours before the tour was to begin I received notification that One Excellence cancelled the tour no reason; no communication directly from the tour operator.— just a message from Viator When requesting the operator cover the expense of the accommodation, they only reply that that they are unable to communicate directly with me because it was booked through Viator. Viator states my only recourse is either the tour operator. So no one taking any accountability.

5.00Let me start by saying the sites were all amazing! But what made the castles, the towns, the museums come to life was our awesome guide Alex !!! He was fantastic in every way, very knowledgeable and skilled , fully engaged and helpful. Every question we throw at him, no problem. He is able to provide context and insight... how lucky we are to have him for two days. By far in all our years of travel and touring, he is the BEST !!!

He was extremely helpful to me as I am recovering from hip replacement and he showed real interest in my welfare. He also very knowledgeable and professional. He made the tour a good experience for all.

3.00interesting tour through castles and medieval towns. Alex was a great driver and guide. We were struck by his memory of historical dates. I can't give a 10 rating, because we found some obvious inconsistencies, regarding tickets to the castles. For Bran Castle there were no problems, because there are automatic machines, very convenient. While regarding Sinaia Castle in Peles, we found the cost given by the tour not corresponding to reality. They asked us 35€ each. Online adult rates are 100 Ron (20€), Senior rate 50 Ron (10€). For us who are Seniors, they charged us 35€ per person! At the beginning of the car tour we were told a price of 30 € per person, then once we arrived in Bucharest we were charged € 70 in two. After 4 hours of travelling back from Sighisoara to Bucharest, we didn't feel like arguing. But we understood that the speech of the tickets is a 'smoke in the eye'. In fact, there were people traveling on the same shuttle, who had already bought tickets online. Tip: If you don't want to pay more than the real price, book your tickets online, cheaper and with priority access.

4.00The guide Emanuel was very good. Arranged for us to switch days 1->day 2 so we could see Pele's castle that we otherwise missed. He was also very knowledgeable, committed, caring and gave clear instructions on departure times and meeting places. Well balanced with stop times at the different locations.
Great guide that brightened the tour in the very best way. Recommended.

4.00Very good guide/driver Emanuel. Clear instructions on times and meeting places. Responsive and caring to the group. Very knowledgeable about his country's history and other information. Redirected our trip so that we could see Pele's castle when it was open, absolutely crucial to the trip's overall experience. Drove safely and securely. Well balanced tour regarding stopping times at the different places we visited, cozy with overnight stay in Sighisoara.

5.00It’s a lot of time spent in the car (and traffic), but it’s worth it for the sights. Sighisoara and Pele’s Castle are the standouts. Bran’s castle is very overrated and a bit of a tourist trap. If given the opportunity by your guide as we were, spend the extra time at Pele’s area and less in Bran.
