Our guided 2-day Mt. Fuji expedition from Tokyo is fully compliant with all 2026 climbing regulations and fees, guaranteeing your access.
This tour is designed to be hassle-free. Every climber receives a FREE helmet and rainwear. A full gear rental plan (boots, rucksacks, etc.) is also available. We welcome families, providing correctly-sized gear for children (ages 6+). Unlike most tours, we include travel insurance for international visitors for your peace of mind.

The plan includes additional 4-item essential gear (climbing boots, rucksacks, stocks, headlamps).
Our all-inclusive support handles everything: round-trip transport, mountain hut stay, meals, a certified guide, and an English-speaking tour conductor. The included meal is a Japanese hamburger curry, which is served without the patty for vegetarian requests. We can NOT accommodate vegan or halal requests; please bring your own food if you have strict dietary needs.

Once you complete your reservation, your request will be submitted, and we will respond within a few days.
Children aged 6 and above who can communicate in English are welcome to join. The tour fee is the same for both adults and children.
The tour bus only has limited space for participants to store their rucksacks and other hand-carry luggage. Therefore please do not bring along big luggage or suitcases so there are no space for storage on the bus. Please kindly leave them at your hotel.
Participants are not allowed to get off the bus at other places where are not designated as arrival places of the tour.
You will stay at Tomoekan 8th Station (altitude: 3,400m), approximately 1.5 hours from the summit. Facilities include free smartphone charging, Wi-Fi, eco-friendly flush toilets with heated seats (200 yen tip required), and personal storage shelves.
Rooms are shared, but male and female guests will not sleep next to each other. Even within the same booking, shared rooms may be separated. Private rooms (for 2 people) are available in limited numbers, but single participants cannot apply.
Extra food, drinks, earplugs, and raincoats are available for purchase at the hut.
Alcohol is strictly prohibited in the accommodation. To prevent altitude sickness, we advise against drinking alcohol during the climb.
All times posted are rough estimation only. Time varies on weather and traffic conditions, stamina of tour participants and so on. Please kindly be noted in advance.
Tour is scheduled as listed hour, however may subject to change due to traffic condition.
Be sure to come to the meeting place on time. As well as when returning from toilet breaks. The bus will depart as scheduled regardless of all late comers. There will be no refund nor can we offer assistance for alternative methods of transportation in case you missed the bus due to being late.
In case of traffic congestion or any other uncontrollable reasons, may lead to changes on tour schedule or time shorten in each sightseeing spots, please be noted in advance.
As it is stipulated by the law of Japan, please wear your seat belt on the tour bus.
Please be noted that you cannot change the scheduled return location after the tour.
All tours will be operated regardless of visibility of Mt.Fuji. And Mt.Fuji may not be visible due to weather conditions. This will not qualify as a reason for refund.
This tour will depart regardless of weather or traffic conditions, unless you are notified otherwise by the local operator. Viator and your local tour operator will not be responsible for itinerary changes due to unforeseen circumstances

Start to climb from 5th Station of Yoshida Entrance around 12:00 p.m. ･A team of two, a mountain guide and an English-speaking tour conductor will support you during the climb. Aim at arriving at the original 8th Station ･Follow the guide's pace. Walk on the side closest to the mountain, watch out of rockslide or possibility of falling. ･Three important points: 1. Don't get dehydrated. 2. Walk slowly. 3. Take a deep breath. *For those who lack of confidence in their stamina will stay and walk close to the guide. *When taking rest, do not to forget to take consideration for others who walk behind. Make ways for them to pass.

Departure from Mountain hut and start the climb around 04:00 a.m. Arrive at 9th station and watching the sunrise at 5:00 a.m. Climb to the summit (You will arrive at the summit after sunrise.) ●Participants can leave their belongings at the hut and head to the peak with light equipment. *For young children, elderly or participants who lack of confidence in their stamina can see the sunrise from the hut without climbing to the top. *Take enough rest until assemble time and get ready to climb to the peak. (equipped with warm clothing, headlamp and water is necessary.) *JPY300 will be charged as usage fee of toilet at the peak. So make sure to go to the toilet before climbing.

Arrive at the top of Mt. Fuji around 06:00 ●The scenery of the sunrise from Mt. Fuji, Japan’s highest peak will be an unforgettable page in your life memory! ●A lap of the crater at the top of Mt. Fuji & 360-degree panoramic view from the highest point in Japan can be enjoyed. Give it a try if you are confident in a stamina!

Depart from Mountain hut and start to climb down around 08:00 ･Pack your belongings and start to descent to the 5th Station. *Walking down is easier than up. However, stocks are recommended since it ease the strain on knees *To go downhill with enough water with you, more than 500 ml is recommended. *Do not take rest for too long, otherwise you may get heatstroke, dehydration and exhaustion.

1.00I cannot stress this enough: do not join this Mount Fuji tour if you're even slightly slower than the rest of the group. They will leave you behind on the mountain without hesitation — regardless of injury, altitude issues, or basic safety protocols. I pulled a muscle in my leg midway through the first day's hike and was moving a little slower as a result. Combine that with the effects of high altitude, and I wasn’t keeping the exact same pace as the rest of the group — though I still made it to the mountain hut within the allocated ascent time of 6 hours. Instead of offering support or even basic empathy, I was shocked to be presented with a waiver to sign, saying I was voluntarily leaving the tour and that they held no responsibility for me if I chose to summit the next morning. I reminded them that I never chose to leave the group — they were effectively expelling me. I refused to sign the waiver. That should’ve been the end of it. But the next morning, just ten minutes before the summit attempt, I was pressured into recording a voice note stating that the tour bus could leave the 5th Station without me if I didn’t return by 11:30 AM. I felt completely coerced into doing this, and this was after an argument where I clearly stated I was capable and willing to continue and I just needed to rest after pulling a muscle yesterday. To make matters worse, they removed the helmet from my head — a helmet that I paid for as part of the tour package — claiming they weren’t sure I’d return it in time. This was a blatant safety hazard. The guide herself later asked me multiple times on the journey why I wasn’t wearing a helmet when everyone else was and I had to remind her that she literally took it off my head. Throughout the summit climb, I was extremely anxious and stressed, because they made it clear they would not wait for me at the summit or the bus. I still managed to make it down well before the 11:30 AM deadline. And yet, they had the nerve to leave behind an elderly couple (both over 50) who weren’t as fast as the others — leaving them to fend for themselves. This company advertises their tours as being suitable for families and children over 6 years old. That is dangerously misleading. They showed zero concern for group safety, pressured participants into signing dodgy waivers, and even stripped customers of essential safety equipment if they weren’t confident you’d return it in time — even when you had other gear that also needed to be returned. One member of our group had visible signs of oxygen deprivation at the hut, and the guide never once checked on them. On top of all this, the tour guide was rude, dismissive, and completely lacking in empathy throughout the experience. This is not just bad service — it is irresponsible, unethical, and dangerous. If you're considering climbing Mount Fuji, find a company that values your safety and treats you like a human being, not a liability to be discarded the moment you're slightly behind schedule.

1.00Arrived at set time. Only four people and a big bus. The tour guide said the trip was cancelled due to a road closure because of in climate weather. Normally, I'm good with that. Safety. Odd thing was people I was not with that took an alternate tour, went off at the same time 6:30-7:30 A.M. and they along with thousands of others on the mountain that day enjoyed the experience. Thought is they cancelled due to low turn out and cost of a full size bus. No way to tell now, but very circumspect looking back vs what others received, going to the mountain with alternate tour companies that day.

5.00It was amazing!!! 2 days that I will never forget. The had 3 guides with our group The whole time, all of them spoke english, the trip was realmente tiresome but thats what we signed up for kkkkkk. The view up top is incredible, makes it totally worth it! The place we stayed in 8th station had a delicious curry rice (for those who like it) and the bed we slept was way better than we tought. The sheets were really good!!! I didnt sleep at all but because of the altitude, not because I didnt feel confortable. The view at night of the cities down there is unforgetable and when the horizon starts to color because of the sun, it looks like you watching Earth from space. We had a lot of fun and all was perfectly on clock. Actually we did it faster than the scheddule. Really grateful for the experience!

5.002 days trip was a great decision. First: You can see a sunrise and Second: you can adapt to the elevation better. Also the slow speed of ascent was perfect... Specially if you are not a pro climber... I'm a mountain guide myself but did not miss the speed really going up. The guides were very good ad adapted to the weakest person, which was very professional... Additionally we made some breaks and we did gather together and continue forward... Dinner was nice and breakfast too. Enough Asian as well as enough European to say... Overall it was a great experience and I will do it again. We had super luck with the weather too... Amazing two days...

5.00I did the Fuji 2 Day hike 16-17 July 2024. An interesting note - while I booked the trip through Tokyo Gaijins the actual trip up the mountain was accomplished by VIP Tour which was fine as they work out of the Mt Fuji Miharashi facility at the 5th station (Yoshida Trailhead). Nice setup with a gear rental shop, gift shop, coffee bar, restaurant and climber break area (on the 3rd floor). What appealed to me was the flexibility of their hiking plan, I was able to enjoy all the benefits, pickup in front of the Shinjuku Post Office (and return), overnight hut, onsen visit, etc., but didn't have to participate in a line of ducks march up (down) the mountain behind a guide. I was free to move at my own pace limited only by checkin time restrictions. Despite not being a fan of organized, overnight treks I have to say this was an exception. Highly recommend. Some considerations: take lots of 100 Yen coins, toilet use requires 200 to 400 yen per visit. Mountain hut has no heat nor "house" shoes so if you don't like walking around in socks take your own. They do have shoes for the toilet area. Water, soft drinks, snacks, etc. are available for purchase from the fifth station to the tenth - marked up prices. Check the weather, I got rained on and clothes/shoes got wet so plan accordingly. Mtn hut had no dry room facilities, not even a clothes line. The Yoshida (Fujiyoshida) Trail has both an ascent and a descent route. The ascent involves climbing up rock outcrops while the descent is fully on a maintenance access road. All are well signed (and color coded - Yellow) plus there are persons at key areas to help guide you. I walked alone and had no issues. No trash cans anywhere, not even at the 5th station so take extra bags for your trash. Finally read up on Japanese bus, hut and onsen etiquette.

4.00Used this tour group to summit Mt Fuji, pickup point easy to find. Worthwhile to use them fir guidance and doing the arrangements. Summit group large causing a lot of delays and group members having different levels of hiking experience a bit of inconvinience, too much starting and stopping. Would recommend that they reduce no of people per group. Did not do after summit tour, too tired got a bus from 5th station to Shinjuku. I recommend they cut this as after summit euphoria and tiredness there is little interest for other activities. I have done many hikes, Inca, Patagonia,Camino this is no in the park as many writers make us believe
