The 2 Days Uganda wildlife safari to Murchison Falls National Park takes you to the magical tour to the top of the Murchison Falls – World’s most powerful waterfall, a memorable game drive in the open savannah landscapes of Murchison Falls National Park with sights of African elephants, the Cape Buffaloes, the Jackson’s Hartebeest, the lions, the Rothschild Giraffes, the Oribis, Uganda Kobs, the leopards among other species. After breakfast, your tour guide will pick you from Kampala (or Entebbe) and you will embark on the drive (311Km from Kampala and approximately 5 hours) to Murchison Falls National Park. You drive along the notable landscapes of Nakasongola crossing the Kafu River and passing by the verdant Budongo Forest and upon arrival, you’ll drive to the top of the falls. You encounter the world’s longest Nile River as squeezes itself to pass through an 8m ravine forming a plume of spray marked by a thunderous roar and a trademark rainbow as it falls 43m below to the Devils Cauldron. The site displays an extraordinary scene for photography. You retreat from the activity and connect to Paraa Jetty to catch up with the Nile launch cruise to the bottom of the falls departing at 2 pm. The Nile launch cruise offers you an opportunity to explore the calm waters of Nile River as they approach the delta gaining views of the aquatic Species like Nile crocodiles and Hippos not forgetting the lucky sights of the most sought-after shoebill stork. The boat stops at the bottom of Murchison Falls – the world’s powerful waterfall enjoying one of the magical sceneries in Uganda. Retreat from the activity and connect to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

At 7 Am you will connect to the continuing savannah landscapes of Murchison Falls National Park for an impressive morning game drive in the northern part of the park to catch up with the early wildlife before they disappear to graze and hunt. You follow the designated tracks including the Buligi, Albert, Queen, Pakuba among others stretching to the delta area gaining remarkable views of wildlife and the landscapes. The possible sights include Rothschild Giraffes, the Jackson’s Hartebeest, the lions, the leopards, the Cape Buffaloes, the Oribis, the elephants, Kobs among others. You retreat from the activity that lasts 3 – 4 hours and cross with the ferry at 11 am to embark on the drive to Kampala.

Robbed ! Tour itself was very good but I was charged twice and company refuse to reimburse.

1.00Unfortunately, quite a while after doing this review, I found out that I had been charged twice on the same day - so an overcharge of $676. Despite months of communications and sending the bank statement (see attached) showing this quite clearly (no subsequent refund shown on any later statement) I was just strung along and received zero satisfaction, acceptance of what had happened or any reimbursement. Please avoid using this company to save yourself a similar experience. I have however left the review of my actual experience as the guide and tour were both faultless: Fantastic tour guide in Eddie who works exceptionally hard. Being solo meant a premium cost-wise so, naturally, if there are two of you it becomes more economical. For whatever reason, I was the only one on the tour as the other two intended didn't seem to make it. I am very grateful for that not least because they could have just cancelled on that basis. Unfortunately, as stated at the top here, I never realised that I had, in fact, been charged twice and have been unable to obtain either refund or acceptance of what happened after months of fruitless communications by e-mail and whats app !! I had come from Ngorongoro two days before and this was in a different league. Where the former had gazillions of tourists in many, many vehicles and very little prime wildlife to see, hardly anyone was here and game was abundant thanks to my guides contacts with rangers and his own expertise. Lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo and to mention that the tour includes a generous stop-off en-route at the Ziwa white rhino sanctuary and, of course, the falls. He ensured there were multiple impromptu stop-off's too as species popped up. The overnight accommodation at the Hornbill Lodge was lovely - great staff, lovely en-suite room and nice food. Entebbe pick-up and drop-off was included too. Be aware that Eddie turns up well ahead of schedule so, if you have his contact, you can get going sooner if desired and also save him traffic hassle. There is a boat trip possibility (extra cost) outside the park at the new bridge but need to ask for in advance to tie with departures.

5.00We only had a weekend to explore Uganda's largest national park and Friendly Gorilla's did not disappoint. Our guide Arafat was great with logistics and knew when to order food at busy places, which roads to take and specific times, and most notably where to go in the park to find all of the wildlife. We managed to see 4 of the big 5 (no leopards) in just two game drives! The park is absolutely beautiful, a must do if you are in Uganda.
