We pick you up from your location in Brasov at 8:30 to start an authentic 2 day adventure program in Transylvanian Alps, driving on Transfagarasan Highway as know as "the Road to the Sky", "the Road to the Clouds", "the Best Driving Road in the World" and even "A spectacular Monument to Earth-Moving Megalomania"!
Transfagarasan road is open between July 1 - October 31!
According to a statement from the Argeș County Council, access to Poienari Fortress will be allowed in organized groups at fixed times, following the schedule below:
9:00 AM / 11:00 AM / 1:00 PM / Last ascent at 3:00 PM

Le Lac Balea
The cauldron ice age is sheltering the emblematic Balea Lake (4.6 ha, altitude 2034 m) with the most beautiful mountain challet, is by far the most important sports center on altitude in Romanian Carpathians. It is located in the heart of Fagaras Mountains.
We hike on the epic Stan's Gorge – a 4 hours hiking trip on an impressive canyon with ladders and via ferrata or we hike on the main ridge of Fagaras Mountains starting from Balea Lake for about 4-6 hours. We choose the hike depending of the weather forecast.

5.00This is my first tripadvisor review and i felt compelled to write it cos Tudor was such a great guide. His english is very fluent, excellent knowledge whenever we pose questions, very warm-hearted and sincere service. Brasov is already an amazing place to visit and he was the icing on the cake! I also would like to commend on his safe driving (yet not slow, in case you misinterpret it). My group is only 2 of us and joined by a lovely british couple, and i can tell they enjoyed Tudor's service as well, as they were so kind to bought him a customised mug while we had a stopover. And coincidentally, bumped into them again the next day and they sign up for another of Tudor's hiking tour (which i wished i had too!) Lastly, i also admire Tudor's love for his country and for Brasov particularly, and it showed through. I had a great time, one of the best country i have visited, and Tudor was truly a superb guide. If he is reading this, i am one of the 2 girls from Singapore, who joined your tour on 10th Jul. Thank you very much and i wish you the best!! Do sign up and request for Tudor! He's the guy!
