In Chinchero, you’ll dive into Andean culture with a vibrant alpaca weaving demo, where ancestral techniques come to life. Then, discover the mysterious terraces of Moray, once used by the Incas to experiment with crops, followed by the dazzling salt mines of Maras, a mountainside of shimmering salt pools harvested by local families using ancient methods. Recharge with a tasty buffet lunch, then explore the majestic fortress of Ollantaytambo, an ancient stronghold surrounded by breathtaking views. By late afternoon, board the train to Aguas Calientes and enjoy a spectacular ride through jungle-lined canyons and rivers. Upon arrival, our team will meet you, take you to your hotel, and end the day with dinner and a Machu Picchu briefing with your guide to prepare for the next day’s unforgettable adventure.

Wake up early at 4:30 a.m. for an energizing start. After a light breakfast at 5:00 a.m., begin a scenic 1.5-hour trek up to Machu Picchu, where your guide will be waiting at the entrance to help you witness the breathtaking sunrise over the ancient citadel — a truly unforgettable moment. Enjoy a 2-hour guided tour as your expert guide unravels the rich history, architecture, and mysteries of Machu Picchu, revealing why it’s one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. After the tour, take free time to explore the site at your own pace, capturing stunning views. On the way back, visit the Machu Picchu Museum to deepen your understanding of this incredible heritage. Then, take your backpack at the hotel before boarding the train to Ollantaytambo. From there, relax on the bus ride back to Cusco, arriving at 3 block form main square between 9:30 and 10:00 p.m. (train schedules based on availability)
