This course is designed to give you the necessary skills to conduct open water dives and the key to explore most dive destinations and discover the wonders of the underwater world!
SDI is a high reputed dive agency around the world with quality scuba training programs ruled by the World Recreational Scuba Training Council (RSTC).
IMPORTANT: - People with asthma, heart or brain problems, high blood pressure, lung lesions, organ transplant, diabetes, epilepsy, or any surgery less than 1 year, CAN NOT dive.
- Keep in mind you need to rest between 18 - 24 hours after diving before take an airplane.
- Consider for this activity you need to perform scuba skills in the water if you are not able to do it, you can not dive for safety reasons, there is not refund back for these reasons, as the service is provided

2 days activity We will contact you back to give you the codes to study all the E-Learning online and do the exam in advance, all the theory and exam is online, then you will come for pool training and dives First day: From 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. you will do pool skill practice early in the morning, then you will do 2 dives, first dive at MUSA Underwater Museum and Second dive in a reef. Second day: From 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. you will additional practice and do 2 more dives, after this you will get your certification. IMPORTANT TO KNOW: - People with asthma, heart or brain problems, high blood pressure, lung lesions, organ transplant, diabetes, epilepsy, or any surgery less than 1 year, CAN NOT dive. - Keep in mind you need to rest 24 hours after diving before taking an airplane. - Bring ID, towels, swimsuits and/or any other thing for your personal care that you think you are going to use. - Sunscreen/sunblock are not allowed for coral protection. - As the activity is from a boat, we suggest take anti-nausea pills, 1 or 2 hours before getting on the boat for best effects.

Amazing first dive and certification trip with Ah’ Ha Scuba Diving in Cancun

5.00My daughter (15) and I signed up with Ah Ha for our first diving experience, to get our SDI Open Water certification while on vacation in Cancun. We didn’t know exactly what to expect, but Timoteo and Carolina were absolutely amazing to work with! They supported us for two months before the trip as we worked on the online course and exam, and then as we arrived in Cancun with answering all of our questions. Their location is really easy to get to via public busses or Ubers, and after finishing the skills testing in the pool you just walk a few short steps to board the boat. During the course it was clear how much the ocean, reefs and diving mean to both of them, we loved practicing our Spanish with them and they both spoke great English also. They were very patient with us and made sure we felt safe and confident at every step of the process. I had a small personal issue during the course and they went above and beyond to help me work around it and stay on pace to complete the requirements and obtain my certification. During our live dives with Timoteo we saw hundreds of fish, nurse sharks, crabs, lobsters, rays, sea turtles and eels, so much life under the ocean around the beautiful reefs. The equipment was all clean, sized correctly for us and plenty of spares in case any issues came up. In the end, we could not have asked for more, Timoteo and Carolina were just THE BEST and we can’t wait to return and dive with them again soon.

5.00It is the second time I have attended an activity with them and I definitely recommend them. Marin, our instructor was very friendly and professional the entire time, plus he takes incredible photos!! I will definitely return soon.

5.00I did the open water certification with Marin and he is a great teacher. I highly recommend him. He took us to such beautiful places to dive. Would definitely go diving with him again. Everything was so well organized by his wife

5.00Carolina and Marin are the perfect partners for this job! Caroline initially helped me with all the paperwork, online eLearning, and rescheduling due to the weather. Marin was very thorough in every step for your preparation for the open water dives (4). The assembly of the gear, details of what to do in the water, and made you practice everything in the pool first. It's everything in the eLearning and more, especially provided more info on survival skills. I wasn't nervous at all when it comes to open water ocean dive in the 1st day afternoon, and that is all because of Marin. He made me assemble the gears myself as part of the course, and I made a rookie mistake already. This shows everything needs practice. The open water dives are amazing, besides the coral reefs, he would practice communication under water with you, and test your skills again in the open water. Marin is made sure you are always next to him and check on your regularly. When water floods your mask, or regulator, or removing regulator from your mouth...think what Marin has taught you in the pool, and repeat it...the only difference is you are 30-55 feet in the ocean. The open water dives is a full boat, therefore don't worry...you are in good hands, and other divers will share their experiences with you including their best dives, locations, different adventures. BTW, signing up today for tomorrow won't work. eLearning takes time to complete (16 chapters and testing). It took me 3 days in between work to complete it. I wanted to do this 20 years ago, and only got to complete now. The best part of attaining the SDI Open Water Diver Certificate is you have the opportunity to dive around the world, recreational dives at the moment. I want to complete the advance course if possible, and I would come back to Marin and Caroline should the time and place permits!

5.00THE TEAM TO DIVE WITH ! Divers or future divers, I strongly recommend A’ Ha’ as your dive center in Cancun. Marin is a very experienced dive master, his recommendations are key, he knows the area perfectly, he has multiple dive zone options and you can go out every day to different Spots as fascinating as the reefs around Tulum or cenotes for more or less experienced people. Caro is super efficient, gives you all the necessary information and quote very formally. Professional, reliable, no surprises and more than fair prices. I got my OPEN WATER certificate with them and they made it very easy. The sea was very complicated we made a first dive there. And we complete with a cenote to do the navigation and thus have an additional and different spot. You'll be surprised if you haven't tried them. I'll repeat.

5.00It was so much fun to make that course! Beginning with Carolina who perfectly helped me out before getting to Mexico with all the documents I needed, how to get to the hotel where the course started and much more. She welcomed me with a big smile when I got there. Thank you! Now to Timoteo Marin: He writes about himself that he's a passionate diver. He's not only that but also a very good teacher! He patiently taught me everything I need to know according to the SDI standards. I could feel his passion for scuba diving and he explained a lot to make sure I get a deep understanding of how things work under water. When we were diving I could see how he interacted with nature under water: calm, respectful, absolutely professional, and always having an eye on me. I already miss these guys and Mexico. I had a really great time.
This was an incredible experance.

5.00The teacher was very knowledgeable and professional! I absolutely had a wounded time learning from him. I would recommend this with all my heart. Also he went above and beyond and not only recommend a nice restaurant but also dropped me of there for free without expecting anything in return. He has integrity on make sure you lean every thing by the book!
