  Be Very Careful. Our family typically hires a private guide for a walking tour in each city we visit. We have done this for the last 20 years and it has worked brilliantly. A recommendation from Rick Steves I picked up from one of his books. I have often hired the guides from the list Rick includes at the back of his books. in this occasion, I did not do that. I went based purely on the recommendations from Trip Advisor. Based on those recommendations, we hired this company to provide a guide for a 2 day walking tour of Paris in January 2026 for our family of six adults. When the guide met us at our hotel, I thought it odd he did not ask us what we wanted to see. He just assumed we wanted all the usual sights, which we did not. We have been to Paris previously and done a tour with a private guide then. We wanted a different itinerary. He said we could adjust the itinerary as the day proceeded. Nonetheless, he wanted to take us to Notre Dame to start, so we agreed that was fine. The Guide said little to us about anything we were seeing as we walked Notre Dame. He just had us follow him and chatted with one of our party about nothing to do with what we were seeing. Again, not typical from our experience. Once inside Notre Dame, however, things became even more odd. Unless spoken to directly with a question, he said nothing. And what he did say showed that he knew very little actually the history of Notre Dame. He spent most of the time on his phone. I thought it very strange he was explaining nothing to us. So I asked him about certain things. Eventually he told us that he was not accredited with the City of Paris and not an "official" guide and was therefore not legally permitted to explain the contents of any of the sights to us while we were within the location. I immediately wondered how a company could provide such a guide on a tour of sights the guide was not legally permitted to explain while inside the locations we are visiting? Even more bizarrely, however, is that he also barely even spoke to us about what we were seeing as we walked between the sights, something he was permitted to do. Our group started as six adults from the same family. Three left after the first location as they were not going to "waste their time" with this guide, they told me. The rest of us stuck it out for another 3 hours and eventually just politely told him that we could see the rest of the sight on our own. We cancelled the 2nd day. And we told the guide why. He was very nice and apologized and offered to fix things the next day. We declined. I asked for a refund of our money. He referred us to his company. I asked for the contact information. I received no response. Even more telling, however, is that we have received no communication from the company whatsoever. We will obviously be taking this charge up with our credit card company. So, again, be very careful. Our experience suggests this company cannot provide what they contract for. Be very careful to ensure you receive a guide who is actually able to provide you with the information you are paying them to provide. Ours certainly could not. And yet despite this, they seem reluctant to make the situation right. Not a company I can recommend doing business with, at all. I cannot explain the apparently previous positive reviews, as our experience certainly was not that. The best I can offer, again, is simply to be very careful. Be sure you are receiving what you paid for.

  I originally planned to explore Paris on my own but as a solo female traveller, not great on directions, l instead decided to to book 2 Days in Paris with a Friendly Tour Guide and I’m so glad l did. The tour lived up to its name as Sanny was indeed a delightful, attentive and knowledgeable young man. He adapted the tour to see the areas l specifically wanted to visit and showed me unique and interesting places l would otherwise have missed. The best bit was not having to think about trains, tickets, maps, even ordering the right coffee as Sanny organised it all. This allowed me to just blissfully follow and be able to fully appreciate the beauty and diversity of Paris.

  I am so happy I decided to do this experience, it was so worth it and Sabrina its so knowledgeable and accommodating this is the perfect way to get to know Paris and she knows all the best places. I recommend this tour and Sabrina as the tour guide.

  Sabrina was the most amazing guide!! Not only did she take care of all of our questions before to help us customize our experience, but she worked with us on the days of to make it even more special. Tell her what you want and need in your vacation and she can make recommendations to make it even better. She surpassed all of photo hopes and dreams! I was not prepared for over 25K steps per day. I think you need significantly more than a moderate activity level. Keep that in mind, and prepare for a wonderful experience.

  Our guide, Mehrdad, was very friendly and showed us a lot of things. He was able to help us skip the line to go up in the Eiffel Tower, and also got us reservations to go out on the glass deck at the top of the Galeries Lafayette. If you like having pictures of yourself in front of every sight and attraction, he's ready to take them. He's not a super expert on the city sights, but he will Google anything you want to know. It's a comprehensive walking tour, but be aware that you will put in 15-20,000 steps each day, so it's not for those who don't like to walk.

  Our guide was Mehrdad, and he was phenomenal. He was friendly, welcoming, and an incredible host. He reached out the day before our tour to confirm the meeting spot and answer any questions we had. Mehrdad also helped us become confident managing public transportation, which we were a bit intimidated by when we first arrived in Paris. Mehrdad allowed us to set the pace and choose what we wanted to do, which was great since we had done a couple of tours the days prior and had seen several of the locations on the example itinerary. When we weren’t sure or couldn’t decide, Mehrdad helped guide us to a decision and kept the day moving forward. Mehrdad’s knowledge of the city was incredible. In addition to taking us to see the Paris “hot spots” and sites we requested, he got to know our interests and took us to multiple other experiences that he thought (correctly) we would enjoy such 59 Rivoli, a multi-story art gallery/studio housed in a former squat. Mehrdad also surprised us by booking us reservations for the glass floor walkway to view the gorgeous dome and take pictures at Galeries LaFayette before taking us to the rooftop for an incredible view of the city. These are just two examples of the many ways that Mehrdad made the two day tour special for us. I cannot express how much we enjoyed this two day tour because of our guide. I recommend this experience over any of the other (many) tours we did in Paris. It was well worth the cost, and I’d even go so far as to say it is worth paying even more if you have Mehrdad as your guide! (Family of 4 with 2 teens ages 17 & 14)

  Anastasia was prompt, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, and knows the streets of Paris. She managed our tour time so to not disappoint. It was obvious she is passionate about this job. Her demeanor was as you would enjoy a coffee with her at any of the many cafes. I thoroughly enjoyed this 2 day tour.
