Morning - leave your accommodation and head towards Debre Libanos Monastery. The journey can take around 2-3 hours. Debre Libanos Monastery - one of Ethiopia's most important religious sites. Spend time exploring the monastery complex, which includes ancient churches, chapels, and stunning views of the surrounding landscape and a timeless museum. Visit the Portuguese Bridge - the bridge is a historical landmark and offers a great opportunity for photography and enjoying the scenic beauty of the Blue Nile Gorge. Lunch - enjoy local restaurants or cafes nearby to experience Ethiopian cuisine. Nature walk or hike - take a walk in the area. Explore hidden gems and learn insights about the local flora, fauna, and history. See the groups of Chelada Baboons. Return to Addis.

5.00The organization of the trip was excellent. I was met on the first day by Teka, who then drove us to Debre Libanos. We had a nice atmosphere on board and had several stopovers (including buying fruits from the local market, lunch with local specialties + Ethiopian coffee). Debre Libanos was a very nice experience, the church and the monk were very impressive. We were given a warming welcome and a knowledgeable guide. We also visited the valley around the Portuguese bridge, which was an impressive experience. The way back was safe, just like the outward journey. On the second day, I was welcomed by Haymi, who first took me to the ethnological museum and explained the recent history of Ethiopia. Afterwards there were stops at the Friendship Park, the Merkato, a church and my wish to visit a supermarket. Haymi was very helpful and took my wishes into consideration. We also had lunch at a restaurant run by women and enjoyed very good food. All in all, I can highly recommend this tour, as the route and the scope were very well coordinated.
