  From the very start of our journey, it was clear that choosing Ismail as our guide for Wadi Musa and Petra, was the best decision we made. He possesses a remarkable depth of knowledge about the region—and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure his guests get exceptional value out of their visit. Ismail has an excellent understanding of the terrain, distances, levels of effort, and logistical options involved, and he provides practical advice that saves time while significantly enriching your journey. Whether it was the hike to the Monastery or the journey through Petra’s world-famous canyon to the awe-inspiring Treasury, his guidance made every step more meaningful and manageable. I cannot stress enough the value of having a licensed guide like Ismail in Petra. Signage throughout the site is often rudimentary and lacks clear detail - having someone with Ismail’s expertise to interpret the site, highlight subtle architectural and historical details, and provide context that makes all the difference between simply seeing Petra and truly experiencing it. Ismail is articulate, engaging and affable. He shared fascinating insights into Petra’s many layers of history, spanning the pre-Islamic, Nabatean, Roman, and even Thamudi periods.   Our experience in Petra was truly extraordinary thanks to our guide, Ismail Nas’. Over two full days, he led us on a fascinating and unforgettable journey through Petra, including the iconic Treasury and the awe-inspiring Monastery. Ismail has an exceptional ability to bring history to life. His explanations were clear, engaging, and filled with details we would have completely missed on our own. Beyond the main sites, he took us to off-the-beaten-path locations that we never would have known existed—places that made Petra feel intimate, special, and far removed from the usual tourist experience. What truly set Ismail apart was how well he took care of us. He thoughtfully warned us about potential vendor hassles and showed us exactly how to handle interactions respectfully and confidently, allowing us to enjoy the experience without stress or discomfort. My wife and I both agree that we would not have had even 25% of the experience without Ismail. He is absolutely worth the premium, and for what is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for most people, it was money incredibly well spent.

  I have met many guides in my life and Ismail is right up there with the best of them! From the moment we met (in the dark) for our first day in Petra i knew we were going to get along famously. The potential of being caught up in large crowds in Petra had been a real concern for me as i want to take pictures with minimal people in the frame and Ismail made that happen. We met early on the first day (thus it was dark) and he got us to the Treasury with a handful of others there. Great! But then it got better. He took us to all sorts of secret locations that the growing hordes of tourists never bothered with and talked us through each one with real authority and enthusiasm…a rare trait. I feel we really saw the best of Petra that day and got loads of great photos which we will treasure. The next day we hiked through the “back door” of Petra to the Monastery which on paper looked daunting but once again Ismail led the way at a gentle pace and got us there before the masses arrived….even having time to stop for tea along the way. Ismail is a real gentleman and a pleasure to be with. I would wholeheartedly recommend his guiding not only in Petra but also throughout Jordan…as he also offers that as well. Thank you Ismail for the great adventures and plenty of laughs along the way.

  Ismail helped make our two days in Petra special. Ismail is knowledgeable, personable and kind, and is fluent in English. He brings a personal knowledge of having grown up in and around Petra, a professional knowledge based on historical study, and as a mechanical engineer he provides extra insights into the irrigation system and construction techniques. Ismail is the perfect choice to enhance your visit and make it even more memorable. We learned a great deal about the Nabataens and left with Ismail as a new friend.

  Ismail was recommended to us by a friend who has used his services a few months the back. Initially we signed up to one day but quickly extended to two days when we realised how special Ismail was. Ismail’s knowledge of Wadi Musa, Petra, Jordan, the whole region, along with its history, culture, food, and anything else you can thing of is truly astounding. There was no problem with communication in English. We had the most amazing two days with Ismail learning so much more than we even would have dreamt of, and would reccomended anyone reading this review to book him up as soon as you can. As well as showing us everything we wanted to see, at the pace we wanted to go, while also being extremely patient, polite, funny and welcoming, Ismail was truly the highlight of our whole trip to Jordan. Having travelled to many parts of the world, interacting with many guides, these couple of days with Ismail were extremely memorable and we wish Ismail all the success in his career as he deserves this and much more!   Ismail's local roots, engineering background, and deep education in history and religion enable him to explain Petra in full glory. Everyone in our family found him easy, pleasant, and engaging to speak with. He is a true professional - patient, committed, and sincere. Petra is much more than one famous facade - it's a desert equivalent to the lost city of Atlantis. Even if you have already visited, I recommend you experience it again with Ismail.

  We had an incredible time with Ismail in both Petra and Wadi Rum! He spoke excellent English, helped us see things we would have never otherwise found, and was a wealth of information on not only sites but also all our questions about local culture. He was also very patient with us taking a lot of time for pictures and just all around friendly and personable. I hope we get to come back to Jordan and see Ismail again to experience even more of the amazing country.

  My friends, family, and I did a tour with Ismail and had an amazing time! He is so knowledgeable of Petra and showed us multiple things we had missed walking to see the candlelight show the night before. He took us on the high road above parts of Petra which gave us a better view. He was very patient with us while my friends and I took a lot of pictures! We also had a great time going to see Wadi Rum. He is very friendly, kind, and an excellent guide. Would 100% recommend! Of note, Jordan is extremely safe so don’t hesitate to go! It is a wonderful country!
