Sacred Valley
Taray look out. our Certified guide will show you our first stop and point out a panoramic landscape view of the sacred valley of the Incas, the snow-capped mountains, the willcamayu river, a propitious moment to take memorable pictures, where our certified guide will explain about the place.
Pisac
Once we get to the archeological site, our certified guide will start the tour in Pisaq, One of the main attractions of Pisac is the Inca ruins, which are located on a hill overlooking the town. The ruins consist of agricultural terraces, residential areas, and ceremonial buildings, and are believed to have been constructed in the 15th century by the Inca emperor Pachacuti, our certified guide will also show you the market which takes place every Sunday and attracts vendors from all over the region. Visitors can find a wide variety of traditional handicrafts, textiles, jewelry, and other products, as well as enjoy traditional Peruvian food.
Maras
Once we get to the main atraction, our certified guide will give you a general information about this unique place, The salt mines consist of thousands of small salt pools, which are carved into the mountainside. The pools are filled with saltwater from a nearby natural spring, which evaporates under the sun, leaving behind crystallized salt. The salt is then harvested by hand using traditional methods, and sold in local markets. The history of the salt mines dates back to pre-Inca times, and the methods used for salt production have remained largely unchanged over the centuries. The salt produced in Maras is known for its high quality and unique flavor, and is used in many traditional Peruvian dishes. Visitors to the Maras Salt Mines can take a guided tour of the site, learn about the history and methods of salt production, and even participate in the salt harvesting process. The surrounding area is also known for its natural beauty, with stunning views of the mountains and valley.
Moray
Our certifed guide will explain about this unique series of circular terraces that resemble an amphitheater, with concentric rings that gradually decrease in size as they descend into the ground. The purpose of Moray is still unclear, but it is believed to have been used for agricultural experimentation and research by the Incas. The terraces are built in a way that creates microclimates, with temperature differences of up to 15°C (27°F) between the top and bottom levels. This allowed the Incas to study and cultivate different crops in different conditions, contributing to their knowledge of agriculture. The site is located in a beautiful natural setting, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Visitors can also explore nearby villages and enjoy traditional Peruvian food and culture. Overall, Moray is a fascinating and unique archaeological site that offers a glimpse into the advanced knowledge and skills of the Incas in the fields of agriculture and engineering.
Ollantaytambo
Our certified guide will explain about Ollantaytambo a town located in the Sacred Valley of Peru, approximately 72 kilometers (45 miles) northwest of the city of Cusco. It is an important archaeological site and a popular tourist destination due to its well-preserved Inca ruins and traditional Andean culture. it was once an important administrative and religious center for the Inca Empire. We (in 4 friends) did the two-night-three-day tour. Everything was perfect: we were accompanied from the first to the last moment on a journey beyond expectations. The guide, Jesus, along with all his staff took care of every single aspect: Timeline, communication, timing, food and accommodation. They have dedicated their entire days to us, a rare value as other agencies organize tours with much larger groups of people thus not guaranteeing the attention and time necessary to fully enjoy the magical place that is Manu National Park. Driver Benjamin was always reliable and safe during the many hours of travel. The food management (breakfasts, lunches and dinners) was optimal, listening to needs / intolerances and offering typical dishes. Accommodation was clean and equipped with mosquito nets and private bathroom. A special thanks goes to Jesus, a wonderful person who transmitted all his passion making us excited. King of the sighting. An experience we will always remember!

Jesus is an incredible tour guide and made sure we had an amazing time in Peru. He is so knowledgeable about the country’s history, animals, people, and sites, which made each stop on our tour so interesting. Jesus went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable and knew our way around, and he took each of our interests/comfort levels into account when determining our tour route. I can’t recommend Jesus enough to anyone visiting Peru, and hope that we will be able to travel with him again!

There is a reason Eco Tours Peru was voted best in 2023! If you’re looking for a reliable, knowledge, kind and intelligent guide — Jesus is your man! He is not your average guide, he’s very smart about logistics, Incan history, and his passion for his work comes through clearly in the tours! He’s communicative in advance of the visit and answers all your questions before arriving and during your stay. You can count on him to give excellent restaurant recommendations too. We did the 12KM, 6 hour hike along the Incan trail and he set a sustainable pace, and encouraged us to take breaks anytime we wanted. We always felt safe in his care. He also took professional quality photos all along the way! Our visit was magical, not only because Peru is a beautiful place, but because Jesus was our guide. The only way to do Machu Picchu is through Eco Tours Peru!!!
