Pre Rup
Start our 2 days with visit the most interesting temples outside Angkor Thom city. Departing your hotel and you begin with the first stop at Pre Rup Hindu temple built as the state temple of Khmer king Rajendravarman and dedicated in 961 or early 962. It is a temple mountain of combined brick, laterite and sandstone construction.
Banteay Srei
Continue a drive for the intricately carved and well-preserved Banteay Srei. The detailed reliefs on this smaller sandstone structure are regarded as the finest, most skillfully crafted in Cambodia. Banteay Srei has only been accessible since the late 1990s, when the Khmer Rouge left the area.
Preah Khan
Afternoon by moving on to Preah Khan temple, a ruined but highly atmospheric mélange of tree roots and crumbling stone structures. Construction of this site was commissioned by the great 'temple builder' Jayavaraman VII (in honour of his father) and a visit to this smaller site makes for an interesting contrast with the more imposing Angkor Wat. Preah Khan is currently being restored by the World Monument Fund and in places is in remarkably good condition.
Neak Pean
Neak Pean temples, an artificial island with a Buddhist temple on a circular island in Jayatataka Baray
Angkor Wat
We begin with a pre-dawn departure from your hotel for sunrise outside Angkor Wat. Enter the great temple in darkness (please bring a torch) from the little-visited eastern side, and creep along hoary cloistered corridors past the longest stretch of bas-relief carvings in the world.
Srah Srang
We end our tour at Angkor with breakfast at the Khmer local resturant (take away from your hotel or oder there)
Ta Prohm
After the a rest break we set out for the jungle-enveloped Ta Prohm – one of the most atmospheric of all temples in Angkor. Once home to 2,740 monks, Ta Prohm today looks much as it did in the early 1850s, when French explorer Henri Mouhot ‘rediscovered’ this crumbling site.
Terrace of the Elephants
Pass by famous Terrace of the Leper King, and the Terrace of Elephants
Bayon Temple
The Bayon’ (12th century) we see its beautifully crafted central towers, covered in more than 200 enormous faces

We visited the 8 main temples during the two days of the tour, in full detail and explanation, in perfect English, by our Sak guide. The attention was maximum, on his part and that of the driver Vichet, being always present, for any help, queries or photographs and on the two days, after each of the visits to each temple, we were offered cold water and moist scented wipes, to refresh! An 11 out of 10, certainly fulfilling all expectations! Thank you!

Thank you Sak and Mr Black for being amazing country ambassadors. Our tour was well organized, hotel pick up was on time, the tour itself was a lot of fun and very informative. The whole Angkor Complex is just one of a kind and should be on everyone's bucket list!

I would definitely recommend this trip. Sok was a great guide and Richard a great drivei and water and flannel provider between each stop. We covered all main templeas and Sok was very knowledgeable about all temples as well as hindi and Buddhist scripture so he could interpret the stunning wall carvings too. Timings at each placed we stopped was just about right and there were regular stops for food and clean toilets too. Group size was just right too. Sok also took us to a local village too so we could see how the villagers lived which was really interesting and great because it was not a tourist trap just local people doing their day to day activities. Thanks Sok and Mr water this was an excellent trip.
