Chengdu to Xian by High Speed Train

Overnight in Xi'an downtown area
Chengdu
In the morning at 07:00, your driver in Chengdu will meet you in hotel lobby and transfer to Chengdu Dong Station for the train D1918 (09:00-12:25) or similar to Xian. Please get off the train at Xian North Train Station. You local guide in Xian will greet you at Passenger Service Center by holding the welcome board with your name.
Xi'an City Wall (Chengqiang)
Then you will be driven to visit Xian Ancient City Wall. It is the most completely preserved and largest city wall in China. It was built for military defense in the Ming Dynasty, about 650 years ago. You can optionally ride a bike on the city wall and the rental fee is on your own side.
Muslim Quarter
Walk through the puzzling underpass and get to the Drum Tower Square in 5 minutes. The guide will introduce you some basic facts of this old city and its must-see attractions on the way and you will soon reach the grand Drum Tower which has stood there for more than 600 years. Behind it is the Muslim Quarter. How busy and bustling it is! Most people think of this word when seeing it. Yes, it’s always crowded from early morning to night. It has such a magic charm. You will be dazzled by various stalls and amused at vendors’ interesting hawking. Follow your guide to find your way in the crowds and learn the hidden stories about those unknown snacks.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayanta)
Later, visit another landmark of Xi'an - the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. At around 65 meters tall, the pagoda was built in 652 (in the Tang Dynasty) to store Buddhist scriptures brought back by Xuanzang from India.
Grand Tang Dynasty Ever Bright City
After that, head to Grand Tang Dynasty Ever-bright City, which is next to the Great Wild Goose Pagoda. It is like a time travel when you walk among many Tang Dynasty-style architectures.
Visit Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, Back to Chengdu by High Speed Train
The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses
In the morning, our guide and driver will take you to visit Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. It takes around 1.5 hours' car ride. The Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum is known as “the Eighth Wonder of the World”, the museum shows a surprisingly high level in sculpture. It is located 30 km east of Xi’an City and the original site was discovered by four local farmers while drilling a well in 1974. Now it has turned into one of the most important attractions in China and the top site in Xi’an. The museum includes Pit 1 (the largest), Pit 2, Pit 3, and the exhibition hall of the chariots and horses.
Xi'an
After lunch break, you will be escorted back to train station for the train D1941(15:20-19:27) or similar train back to Chengdu.
Chengdu
Please get off the train at Chengdu Dong Station. Your driver in Chengdu will meet you at exit and transfer you back to hotel.

5.00Our tour is different and not listed as it was tailored so here it is below: The guides were so incredible! Minnie's knowledge of every site in Leshan (Giant Buddha) and Chengdu (Panda Research and Qingcheng Mountain/Kung Fu Panda Mountain 🙂) was flaweless and pleasant. Chris's knowledge of Xi'An (Terracotta Warriors, ancient city walls and Muslim Street night markets) was also amazing. Both guides were so happy and passionate about their work. It made the experience the best I could imagine. They are now my friends forever!

5.00Being the capital of 13 dynasties made Xi’an must visit place for me. I selected 2-days private tour with excellent tour guide Noble Liu. He shared with me a lot of details from Chinese history and culture, even introduced me in person to lucky man who found the Terracotta army. Separate recognition deserved Yongxingfang culture and food street, endless variety of local food can satisfy everyone’s taste...ensure you include it in your plan. For the best experience I would recommend private tour when you can include all key attractions within your travel time and select excellent tour guide like Noble Liu to keep not only memories, but new knowledge from your trip.

5.00Completely turnkey tour by Grace. Everything is planned for you. Perfectly planned from transportation, food, hotel, touring. Outstanding English speaking guide, Tim. I would definitely request him. He has an incredible knowledge of history. Car transfers were comfortable and safe. Nothing to worry about with this tour company. I will definitely be using them for my next adventure.

5.00Family of 4 with 2 children 9 & 11, our guide was very knowledgeable, she kept the children engaged and broke things down so they could understand the amazing history that we were looking at. The vehicles we travelled in were nice and clean and the restaurants we visited had great choices. We highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to learn about the amazing history of Xian.
