We are the original stand up paddle boarding company and have a brick and mortar shop! Stop in and use our bathroom, pick up water, and get your route on our map. We specialize in large groups and extended rentals, as well as offer tours three times a day, seven days a week. If you've never been paddle boarding before, our lifeguard certified guides and naturalists are excited to get out on the water. Give us a call!

Meet us at our shop at 83 Center Street to fill up your water, use our bathroom, and grab your gear to head out on the Folly River! Our staff will show you your route and offer a demo video so you're confident on the water, and your board will be on a cart to wheel down to the waters edge. Tide schedules and wind speeds vary day by day and can effect your rental. Feel free to give us a call to check out conditions ahead of time!

5.00We have been to SUP/ Paddleboad twice as absolute beginners. Both times Kate was our guide and an excellent teacher! Totally fun, safe, clear instruction and super knowledgeable about the river and the area. The first time we brought our kids and all the instructors were great at keeping an eye out for them and making sure they were safe as we went out when the current was a little strong. We had so much fun-We will be back! Highly recommend !

5.00Even though I have done SUP before we chose the lesson because my friend had not. The instruction was EXCELLENT! I learned a few tips that really made a difference for me. Additionally the weather wasn’t great for our reserved time. They eagerly checked the forecast and suggested a different time. We had a beautiful day on the water. I highly recommend this company for SUP, for the novice or experienced.
Don’t visit the area without doing this!

5.00This is highly recommended we had a 10 and 11 year old and we are seniors.Linsey did an awesome job making the kids feel confident and comfortable. She was watching all 5 of us at all times to make sure we were safe and wee having fun. This is a very professional and recommended for first time paddle boarders. Highly recommend for someone visiting the area interested in a lesson fist and then time to try out her teachings. A water break and rest at the halfway point.

5.00Such a fun way to spend a couple of hours in the water with my daughter. We love activities that require us to move our bodies! The staff was super helpful and made us feel at home.

5.00My husband and I were celebrating a wedding anniversary and decided to do the paddle board experience. It did not disappoint. It was by far our favorite thing that we did in Charleston. The guide was wonderful and very informative. The sunset and dolphins were out of this world! Such a unique and wonderful memory and experience.

5.00We have an outstanding experience yesterday with Haily as our guide. She is super patient knowledgeable and fun and the kids and I had 1 million times better experience than I even imagined we would We also saw dolphins which was kind of cool. The entire vibe of this place is exactly what you expect of Folly Beach…. We are locals and we have lots of choices to do this at the time but will come back here again again

5.00So first off I'll start by saying I am not a tourist but both my wife and I are locals residing in North Charleston for over 20 years. While we've spent numerous times at Isle of Palms, Sullivan's Island, and of course Folly beach we've actually never tried paddle boarding. Kayaking sure but paddle boarding was something we never got around to but boy have we been missing out! First off the staff at Charleston SUP Safaris were friendly, responsive, and just awesome all around. Hailey was our guide on our morning dolphin safari and she went through all of the do's and don't's of paddle boarding and was very friendly. Sadly we did not see any dolphins but she did go out of her way to guide us all around Folly river as much as she could to hopefully see one. If you're a local or a tourist I would definitely give them a try for sure!

5.00JD was awesome and super informative! Made it very easy for us first time paddle boarders to get the hang of things quickly. We got to see dolphins on the tour as well! Great experience and in a great location - they even gave us a great recommendation for lunch afterwards right down the street. Super friendly staff and wonderful overall activity. Highly recommend! 👌🏻👌🏻
