Even more impressive, the Mikveh that was discovered by archaeologists in Barbados in 2008 unearthed what may be the oldest Mikveh in the Americas, dating back to 1660, the Mikveh is fed by a natural spring and the history of the Holocaust survivors coming to Barbados in the 1900.

Our accredited guide will meet you in Independence Square in the City of Bridgetown, in front of the Honourable Errol Barrow Statue, where you will be looking over the best Cityscape in the Caribbean, looking across the river, you see historic buildings mingling with the modern buildings, the Parliament buildings, the Independence Arch, pleasure crafts around the flowing river, heroes square, cenotaph, dolphin fountain and the chamberlain bridge and the stories of course of the settlement!

5.00Jewish history tour was a highlight of our trip. Our guide Rickicia was very nice, articulate, informative, and patient and attentive to our interests. The sights were AMAZING - so beautiful, beautifully restored, fantastic museum... Impressive and very worthwhile, two hours flew by!

5.00very hot day. Did a fair amount of walking but tour guide was excellent. Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. about the Jewish history of Barbatos. Excellent museum. She was very helpful. ie we needed a taxi to get back to the cruise port. She got one for us and stayed with us until we left.

She provided us with a detailed understanding of how the Jewish people came to Barbados and their influence in the development of the country. The visit to the synagogue and museum was very fascinating. Overall an enjoyable and illuminating experience!

5.00The City is crowded but wonderful. The tour guide is knowledgeable and has a lot of patience. The Jewish part was quite informative. Had the good fortune to speak to a volunteer at the Shul. It was awesome.
Poorly managed tour makes a horrible experience

2.00They moved the tour time without telling us. There were supposed to be two different tour guides, one for the Jewish segment and one for the history segment, the Jewish segment tour guide didn’t show up at all so the history guide “winged” the second part of the tour without knowing anything about the religion. It wasn’t his fault but we literally knew more than him.

5.00Karen was absolutely amazing. Her positive and upbeat energy is contagious. She was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and authentically awesome. We couldn't have asked for a better person to be our guide. We started as strangers and ended as friends.
