Erik did a great job of customizing two days for us. He made special arrangements for us to visit the surprisingly modern synagogue and meet with one of the knowledgeable congregants. As a result, we also spent time outside of the old city and got to a different view of Tallinn. On Day Two, we walked and had a really thorough tour of the Old City. Erik was great to work with and was very open to talk about the pluses and minuses of Estonia and what life is like there. It's a small country but very impressive. Erik was amazingly up to date on the history and the current situation of Tallinn/Estonia. We had two excellent days thanks to Erik and White Oak.

We joined Erik on an enjoyable walking tour of Tallinn Old Town via a live virtual Zoom tour. With the Covid-19 travel restrictions in place for over a year now, this tour enabled us to see Tallinn in 'real-time' even though we were more than 9,000km away, with a 5-hour time difference. Erik kept us enthralled with tales of Tallinn and Estonia through the centuries and shared nuggets of information from history, politics, geography, society, language, espionage etc. To our curious questions, he often had a 'long answer' which deepened our appreciation of the place and people. While we would have loved to visit Tallinn in person and join Erik's live tours, this was really as good as it gets under the circumstances - we could even hear (and almost feel) the wind blowing through the mic throughout the tour. Thanks, Erik, for a most memorable journey!

There was so much to take in and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I booked this tour on my own after taking a ghost tour with my friends and it was really great. The weather was sunny and not too windy (the rest of October has been rather nippy thus far) and the guide was so enthusisctic about all the topics we talked about. He was knowledgeable and presented the information in a really easy to understand way. I had no idea Tallinn/Estonia had no much history or so many places I had not yet seen in the old town (I have been in Tallinn since June).

Tallinn's atmospheric Old Town is an enthralling hodgepodge of medieval streets and spires. It's a small city, and the tourist areas are safe and easily explored on foot. Buy a Tallinn Card if intending to use buses, trolleys or trams. For a look into Tallinn's past, visit Rocca-al-Mare Open Air Museum's typical rural Estonian taverns, windmills and watermills, see the onion-domed 1900 cathedral or join the bustle in historic Town Hall Square. St. Olav's spire was once the tallest in the world.Love it
