Redwoods Altitude is designed to showcase even more of the spectacular Redwoods Forest. From 25 metres up, you will be guided on an exhilarating journey along 25 Indiana Jones style jungle bridges!
Using a continuous safety system, our professional guides will lead you around the 650 metre loop, ensuring your safety and comfort.
Join us as we share local knowledge and stories about the Redwood Forest history, native flora and fauna and Māori legends.
Please allow 2-hours for the entire Altitude experience.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Participants should be tall enough to reach 180 cm at the crease of their wrist on the measuring chart.
Youths aged 13-15 years can participate without adult supervision, but a guardian must complete the disclaimer on their behalf.
Children aged 10-12 years must be actively supervised by a responsible person 16 years and older.
Long hair and loose items must be secured.
Closed toe footwear only.
No smoking, eating or drinking.
If a participant shows signs of intoxication, they will not be allowed on the tour.
All participants must be able to understand and follow instructions.
All participants to wear appropriate clothing for weather i.e. rain jacket for wet days, warm jacket for cold days.
Participants must be between 30 kg and 120 kg.
Must be in good health, without high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness, dizziness or other conditions that may be aggravated by the adventure.

Redwoods, Whakarewarewa Forest
Altitude guests will enjoy a 2-hour guided adventure in Rotorua's Redwoods forest. Starting at the Altitude hangar, you'll gear up and take a short walk to the training area, where guides will brief you on equipment use. Then, you’ll embark on a journey along jungle bridges and zip lines, safely connected to a continuous safety system. The adventure ends with an optional controlled descent, followed by a walk back to the hangar.

5.00Epic!!! Not only was this fun, it was challenging, incredibly designed, beautiful, and daring. The guides were patient and thoughtful when it came to the nerves of being that high up. We felt safe the entire time! There were different challenges throughout. The zip lines were so fun!

5.00This was such a great experience! Not until you're there do you get a true appreciation of the height and being surrounded by the redwoods in the treetop. The guides were great ensuring everyone felt supported and put to ease any doubts. The experience at the end was not something I thought I'd ever do, but so glad I did it

5.00Amazing experience despite the fact that I’m a bit afraid of heights. The redwood forest is just magical. Our guides, Jordan and Tomia were fantastic. They were great coaches and made us all very comfortable high above ground.

5.00Chloe was a PHENOMENAL guide. My husband is terrified of heights and was struggling in the beginning of the course, and almost quit when he got to the first zip line, but Chloe gently encouraged him to know that he was safe. By the third zip line, he was zooming through no problem! And also the tree walk experience at night was beautiful!

5.00Must do! Harnessed in while crossing jungle style bridges, zip lining and a jump at the end all amongst the beautiful Redwoods. My fear of heights was challenged- but an amazing experience!

5.00Me and my friend had an incredible time at Altitude Adventure in Redwoods Rotorua. The experience offered stunning forest views, a great balance of challenge and fun, and excellent safety guidance from the team. We finished the course feeling proud, happy, and full of adrenaline.
