At the meeting point, you will learn interesting facts about the nearby Franciscan monastery as well as Frano Supilo, a distinguished Croatian politician and the tragic figure at the beginning of the 20th century. Then we will take a walk along the beautiful seaside promenade around the Rat peninsula, where we will talk about the Roman colony of Epidaurus, shipwrecks in front of Cavtat's port, as well as the unusual life of the Russian ballerina and actress Olga Solovljeva.
As we climb towards the mausoleum, details about the life of its builder and the greatest Croatian sculptor, Ivan Mestrovic, will be revealed with all of the intriguing and tragic circumstances that led to construction of this masterpiece of sculpture and architecture.
We will talk about the world-renowned painter Vlaho Bukovac in front of his birthplace.
By the end of this tour, we will also get to know a distinguished scientist, a successful businessman, and a famous opera singer, all born in Cavtat.

Cavtat Cemetery
The St. Roch cemetery is the highest point of the Rat peninsula with a beautiful view of Cavtat, and it hides numerous interesting stories. It is the final resting place of many prominent Cavtat citizens and the location of the Račić family mausoleum, a work of the famous Croatian sculptor Ivan Meštrović.

One was a distinctive painter with over a 1000 works to his name, the other a sculptor whose architectural masterpiece is an astonishing testimony of love and death. Cavtat has an exceptionally long and interesting history. On this guided tour you will travel 2000 years back in time to when Cavtat was the Roman colony of Epidaurum. You will learn about its demise and why very few traces remain. You'll delve into stories of shipwrecks in front of Cavtat port and hear many more fascinating titbits about its history and present.

5.00A great place to grab a meal and a pint. For as busy and lively as the place was when we arrived, we did not have to wait long to be seated. The food and drinks came out quickly as well and were delicious.

5.00Went to the winning post twickenham on 09/12/2024 for a breakfast and was very happy with the staff especially Sharon this lady is worth every penny she earns so polite and helpful and nothing is any trouble foe her she is a credit to the winning post twickenham. I would recommend anyone to go there.

5.00Woolgoolga Lakeside Holiday Park is an ideal location to get away from the busy part of your life. Located close to the lake and beach, it is ideal for long walks, and quiet contemplation. You could walk to the market if you are so inclined or walk up around the headland with its spectacular views, have a meal in the town or buy some goodies for your family while away. You could easily spend a lot of time here. We tented in a lovely, large space, that came complete with a camp kitchen, a clean, tidy and ample amenities block, that also has laundry facilities. It is beautifully treed, a short walk to the beach and a nice spot for some quiet reflection. There is no pool, no playground (though you can find that in the day use area by the lake) but there are lots of folks around who are just looking for relaxation and quiet.

5.00Myself and a friend went on 2 of Vedrans tours, 1 around Mlini and the other to Cavtat. Both were excellent and we both thoroughly enjoyed them. Vedran is so knowledgeable and passionate about the area around his homeland of Mlini. Very considerate about his 'customers' regarding the walking, with lots of stops along the way. We would most definitely recommend Vedrans tours.

5.00We were able to enjoy 2 of Vedran’s tours, both were excellent. Vedran lives in Mlini and is passionate about his home and his homeland. He is very knowledgeable about the local area and he shares his knowledge with passion and humour. He was very aware of our limitations when walking and he was happy to stop for photo opportunities or to answer questions about almost anything. He deserves to do well and we would recommend his tours to anyone.
