Owned/operated by husband and wife, we immediately reduce the "Creepy Captain and Crew" factor making for a relaxed and comfortable experience for all guests. Our vessel looks like new due to rigorous daily maintenance. You'll feel a sense of pride sailing aboard our vessel as we depart Salty Sam's Marina heading for the Gulf of Mexico. We will pass the shrimp boat fleet and beautiful homes on the way to the Gulf. Once out of the marked channel, we raise our sails and shut the motor off. Wildlife such as dolphins, sea turtles, and various birds can appear at anytime. If the wind allows, we will sail towards the Sanibel lighthouse or along the shores of Fort Myers Beach. Booking PRICE via third parties such as Travelocity/Trip Advisor/Viator based on Trip Advisor/Viator's 24 hour cancellation policy which differs from Magic Wind Adventure Sailings 48 hour cancellation policy. Book directly via our website and save with our 48 hour cancellation policy.
Beach Traffic both directions during high volume can add over 1 hour to normal drive time. We can not hold the boat for you. No refunds for no show. We will depart on time.
Gratuity NOT included in price of admission. Charter Industry Standard Gratuity 10-20%.
We cannot guarantee perfect weather, cloudless days, perfectly calm seas, other guest behavior, or your general happiness. Captain makes all weather decisions the day of the sail.
All children 6 years or under are required to wear a PFD. We have vest style PFD's available.
Not recommended for intoxicated travelers or who plan to get intoxicated.
No drugs allowed.
We carry a basic first aid kit as required by the USCG.

5.00Had a blast in a two- and - a - half hour ocean sailboat trip with my husband on Orion’s Child. Captain Dan and Dianne were amazing hosts - super warm, welcoming and accommodating! Just good ‘ole down to earth people! Loved their stories they shared! We had breathtaking sunny skies, Dan nailed the mesmerizing sailing and we even chatted with two friendly strangers aboard. Just to avoid any confusion, once parked in Salty Sam’s lot… head towards the water and look for the sail boats ⛵️ Dan & Dianne will be patiently waiting. Highly recommended! Enjoyable Sail!

5.00What an amazing adventure! I can't even describe what it feels like when the motor is turned off, sails go up, and you're sailing. We got to see dolphins and sea turtles during the trip, and Captain Dan and Dianne were so much fun. If you're in Ft Myers or the surrounding area, do the trip. You won't be disappointed.

5.00What a great relaxing sail with great conversation. Was very impressed with the captains understanding and attention of the changing winds and expertly positioning us for smooth sailing. Highly suggested, would do again when we are back west.
