Our tour guide was named Javier, amazing guy. He was professional but friendly, and was incredibly knowledgeable about everything. He loves to talk and is very caring about nature. He even helped me and my wife capture pictures and videos of our trip. He also made additional stops along the way for things he thought we may like. He’s also very well known in the community and has many friends everywhere he goes. If you’re paired with Javier be prepared for a great time. Brian was our other tour guide at the Amazon Lodge. He was also super knowledgeable and friendly. He shared with us his culture and language and how people live in the Amazon. My wife and I were very moved by this last part of the adventure, recommend to Live Ecuador to include an option to stay a night with the indigenous people for a night to give people the opportunity to experience the culture on a deeper level. 100% recommend this trip to anyone visiting Ecuador for the first time or coming back for a second or even third time. My wife and I favorite part was definitely the Amazon. We loved the views of Cotopaxi and had a great time at the hot springs in Baños. My wife and I came to Ecuador to celebrate our first year anniversary and we’re both blown away by the experience.

This was a magical experience for my family! Santiago was an incredible tour guide and amazing driver. We navigated and covered a lot of territory thanks to him. Every stop we were well prepared and took lots of photos. The trip was a bit of a whirlwind since we tried to fit in so much. I think adding an extra night or two would have been helpful or taking out a stop or two. We had an incredible time and loved exploring Ecuador with Santiago. His car was so comfortable and had great clearance for getting into the jungle. Can't say enough nice things and are so thankful for our trip.

We did the 3-day tour. It was worth it! Our driver & guide was Erick. He was so kind and knowledgeable. I appreciated learning about Ecuadorian customs, local herbs and plants, and animals. I also thoroughly enjoyed visiting some of the indigenous people of the Amazon, relaxing at the hot springs, swinging at Mirador Mira Mera, and spending time at the Mega Adventure Park in Baños. I had a blast zip lining and doing the Tarzan Swing Jump. If I had more time, I would have loved to spend another day in Baños. The city is wonderful. Thanks for the adventure!

We took the 3 day excursion over Thanksgiving weekend. We had only 4 days in Ecuador and wanted to cover as much as possible. Our driver and guide was Jefferson who was not only helpful with everything but also very knowledgeable about all the areas we visited. The weather interfered with our plans multiple times, but he always had great suggestions on how to make our time fun filled without missing anything and get off the beaten path. He even knew the best places to try local home made drinks and the unique foods we wanted to try (Chontacuro larvae for lunch, anyone?). We had a great time and came home with wonderful memories.

The lodge was so beautiful and had friendly staff that were accomodating. We learnt so much about the different types of plants and animals that are native to the Amazon. I would highly recommend this tour!!
