Thingvellir National Park
Your first day starts by driving from Reykjavik to the historic site of Þingvellir National Park. This was the venue for the Icelandic parliament from 930 till 1798 and is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, both for it´s rich history and amazing nature. This is also where the American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet which creates an amazing feeling having one foot in each world.
Geysir
Known throughout the world for it´s power and beauty, Geysir has become a synonym for this amazing show of nature. Strokkur, another hot spring, sits nearby and is very active, erupting to heights up to 30 meters every few minutes. Follow one of many paths and enjoy steaming springs bubbling all around you. In the Geysir Area you will also have time to buy lunch or some snacks.
Gullfoss Falls
Next on the agenda is the waterfall Gullfoss - the Golden Waterfall. One of the most popular attractions is Iceland, Gullfoss will amaze you with it´s raw power and beauty, plummeting down 32 meters into a rugged canyon.
Kerid Crater
These three attractions complete the classic Golden Circle - but to add even more to your experience - we also stop at the spectacular Kerid Volcanic Crater. This 3000 year old crater is 55 meters deep and offers a unique view of the beauty of the Icelandic nature.
Overnight on the South Coast. Keep your head up for Northern Light very likely appearing in the area.
BREAKFAST
Breakfast
Seljalandsfoss waterfall
You’ll be able to experience this waterfall right up close as it crashes off the side of the Eyjafjallajokull volcano from a height of 60 meters.
Gljufrabui Waterfalls
A hidden waterfall, which most visitors miss. We’ll tell you where to find it!
A private waterfall, that not everyone have access to
Volcano Eyjafjallajokull
Remember to ask your guide all about the colossal eruption here back in 2010, which made Iceland famous all around the world!
Skogar
Skogafoss is one of the most iconic waterfalls in the world, and even featured in “Game of Thrones”. Because of its south-facing position, it is often covered in rainbows as the 60-meter cascade of water produces a lot of spray! Skogafoss is one of the most popular sights in the country and it’s possible to climb to the top of the falls to see it from there too
Solheimajokull Glacier
Solheimajokull is part of one of the largest glaciers in the country, Myrdalsjokull. Enjoy the raw views around and get as close as possible to the glacier cap.
Reynisfjara Beach
It is now time to visit the world-famous black sand beach at Reynisfjara, where beautifully-shaped basalt columns hug the cliffs, volcanic sands are pounded by powerful Atlantic waves and the starkly shaped sea stacks of the Reynisdrangar tower just offshore
BREAKFAST
Breakfast
Vik
The third day starts with short stop in Vík Village that offers stunning views over Black Sand Beach and hills surrounding this small settlement
A barren and desolate wasteland filled with moss-covered lava formations.
Hofskirkja Church
Hofskirkja was the last church of this type to be built in Iceland, dating back to the 19th century. Deep layers of turf make up the roof of the church here, which is also surrounded by moss-covered burial mounds
Glacier Lagoon
Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon is truly an extraordinary place, a bucket-list location featured in several Hollywood movies, but also very peaceful and tranquil too. The scenery is stunning, and always changing too, as wind and tides pull the icebergs in different directions all the time. Here you can also spot seals swimming around the ice chunks or resting on surrounding beaches
Fellsfjara
Just a few hundred yards away from the Glacier Lagoon you will see the Diamond Beach, that gets its name from the countless sparkling fragments of multi-colored icebergs found here. They are slowly being sculpted into fantastic shapes by the wind and the waves on this black sand Atlantic beach.
Vatnajokull National Park
Last but no least - the true highlight of this tour awaits you! Blue Ice Cave expeditions starts with superjeep ride towards natural ice cave. The Blue Ice Cave really shows the tremendous forces of Icelandic nature, as they are formed naturally in glaciers when fresh water freezes in the plunging winter temperatures. New caves are created every year as the glaciers freeze and melt and refreeze into different shapes. It’s a memorable sight to see, with fabulously different ice formations in a range of striking colors. Our local guides will take you to the most beautiful blue ice caves to be found here. Once you’ve been there, that single blue ice cave might never exist again, so this is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Nice Travel by name only! Travelers need to know the actual itinerary is neither provided on the website, nor explained to tourists who are on the tour in real time. This is one example. We booked with Nice Travel because their website offered lodging at a hotel with geothermal hot tubs on day one of the 3-Day Golden Circle Tour. In reality, they booked a hotel without any access to geothermal hot tubs. When asked, Ibby said they are able to change the itinerary. Maybe for weather, I agree, but not providing an advertised perk is pretty major. They refused to provide a discount, even when we made them aware of the ISK 10,000- ISK 20,000 price difference between the advertised experience and the reality.

A great experience, local guides are very knowledgeable and made it a fun experience. Went with my husband and with our friend & had a great 3 day trip. Bear in mind if you book for 3 under 1 booking then you all share a room, which was fine but unexpected 😂 Our guide Addi was very entertaining and was very organised and was great at taking the opportunity to visit the attractions when there were less crowds! Very well paced and packed with wonderful experiences. Would highly recommend 🤩

If you’re debating signing up for this just do it. I traveled solo and this was perfect for me since I didn’t have to worry about accomodation and transportation. Driving in the winter in iceland can get scary due to unpredictable weather. The tour was well paced and you had enough time for activities and also to relax in the evening. The tour guide Rahim was knowledgeable and really sweet! The hotel stays were nice and breakfast was included.

Mother 65 and daughter 22 years old, from the U.K. We were taken to lots of stunning views and fun experiences. A good amount of time was given at each stop to explore, while still allowing for action-packed days. Generally small crowds for each experience, with a few exceptions on Day 2. The highlight of our trip was the ice cave and glaciers, which were beautiful and felt like a proper adventure! We also loved watching the sunset from the geothermal pool on Night 2! The tour group size was ideal. The minibus was kept very warm and had suitable storage for bags (both overhead and in the boot). The accommodations were both nice; felt luxurious on Night 1, and great location and food on Night 2. Unfortunately did not get to see the Northern Lights due to cloudiness. Thorrii had great knowledge and funny stories about Iceland and each location. We both greatly appreciated his music playlist too!

Our group of four had an amazing three day tour that started with Collin on the first day, and continued with Thorri for the second and third day. They were full of information and enthusiasm- and both were a great storyteller. The tour spots really let us see incredible sights like lava fields, ice caves, geysers, and more. We appreciated all the patience and kindness and truly enjoyed our adventures!!

Your was run by NiceTravel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Unforgettable Way for All of Us to Celebrate Our 25th Wedding Anniversaries We chose the 3-Day Golden Circle, South Coast & Ice Cave – Small Group Tour to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversaries with our close friends, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Sharing this milestone together while experiencing Iceland’s breathtaking scenery made the trip even more meaningful for all of us. We spent Day 1 with Collin and Days 2 and 3 with Thorri, and both guides were exceptional. Collin set the perfect tone on Day 1 with his engaging storytelling, knowledge, and sense of humor. He brought the Golden Circle to life and immediately made us feel comfortable and excited for the journey ahead. Thorri guided us through the South Coast and ice cave on Days 2 and 3, and he was outstanding. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about Iceland. He made sure everyone felt safe and well cared for — especially during the ice cave experience — while sharing fascinating stories and local insight that added so much depth to every stop. The small group experience made everything feel personal and relaxed. Every day left us in awe of the landscapes, waterfalls, glaciers, and the ice cave. This tour exceeded all of our expectations and gave all of us memories we will treasure forever. A heartfelt thank you to Collin and Thorri for making this milestone trip so special. We cannot recommend this tour highly enough.
