Perfect and well organized. I like how smooth the experience was from crossing the border to getting to my hotel on the beautiful lake. And the best I saw the gorillas in the wild and it only took us an hour to locate them.

It was a nice time with 'brother' Geoffrey, who drove professionally all the way, and was always respectful and calm, in problematic situations too. Pro events of the Trip: -The drive itself. Geoffrey made it very easy, but of course it needed his expertise. -The beautiful sceneries and nature around. -The good sense in selecting good partners in terms of the food and accommodation included. Except a few minor misunderstandings here-there, the Company did well here also. The places were nice, hot water, comfortable rooms, electricity... Whatever else for overnight? -The discussions about different cultures and Geoffrey's knowledge on the country specifics. -The ideal and well maintained schedule of this tour for those who are lack of time (like weeks), but still want to visit and see a lot. 2-3 countries and 2 forests in 2,5 days is truly possible with this Company. G. is a travel enthusiast too. -Customization options are there at this Company and G. is very opened to take these, but I guess these might be better to be discussed more before the meet and not in the car, in the first minutes... For that time I just wanted to complete each checkpoints as booked, and reacted a bit on a strange way to potential higher costs and time. But maybe if that is asked earlier, I consider adding/removing/modifying anything. -Free bottled water (a lot) -It was a real end-to-end service. He did not just drop me off, but made sure that the hotel (already out of package, my selection) is also proper, and he left me just after a successful check-in. That was a sign of real care. What could be better: -Maybe we took a bit less breaks and took time as a more important factor than like slowing down here-there for good photos or just to admire in nature around us. 2 short coffee/tea breaks without eating could've been nice too. I wanted to invite G. as he could've been tired after driving like 3-4 hrs. in a row, but then we forgot. :( -Somewhat more toilet breaks may be required, but as I did not need that, I guess if anyone would ask for it, G. would not mind. -Geoffrey might need to be sometimes a bit more outgoing by initiating the discussions, as that gets the client known better. Besides, he truly was open to discuss whenever I asked anything. -Talking about knowing the client better; in our case Viator-TA details (mobile version) were very vague, did not contain for example what to pack and what is truly expected in that forest. I did not have time this time to research too much, so these 2 met interestingly... I was not so comfortable with the Bwindi forest. With the animals, yes, of course, but not with the short trekking hike (it was more forest-mountaineering without standing on even ground for 1 hour and trying to find a grip on untouched path - similar but more tricky as snow -, and climb up somehow...). We understood that the gorillas went further, so we had to follow them not to be disappointed without seeing them, but the locals might tell this clearly, instead of chasing clients into the unknown or danger by understatements (that very much happens in Africa), like: "The gorillas may be elsewhere, a bit more walk is expected." It was not a bit of walk but at least a moderate if not a hard trek then. For the 'short route' group. We agreed with G. that he will try to release the preparedness assessment on their website, so that will not only help future visitors to measure stamina for such events, but will provide the very same, and critically important details also, to all clients. Regardless, from where they arrived. -I advise the company and the leaders in the forest to make at least the basic gear (simple sticks, gloves) as part of the package to be rented for free, and make them mandatory for all guests. Also, the forests might monitor and advise about weather and terrain much better, on what to expect. Not based on the day before, but minutes before departure. That is why they are there, so that would result by less rescue situation or dissatisfaction. The porter (helper) system might be revised. Giving hand when someone lost balance and can fell off, or cannot move up without help, these might be a minimum standard, for free. If someone went away by intent offroad and then needs rescue, that may be charged of course, or if someone does not follow instructions. It must be always very case by case when it needs extra money and when not. Being polite and not allowing guests to be seriously injured/die and to be able to return to the starting point without being lost/left off, that is not something that can be charged. -Tipping pressure was highly there at the forests (not talking about Antique here). We agreed with G. that he will try to take this anyways trendy topic to different forums, so it can change. -A bit more comfort in the car; like more paper tissues available (always), and some more (budget) snacks (and soda?), which can be eaten on the way - in the car. Note: If you are doing the exact same tour as this, and you used to have stomach issues due to bumpy roads, consider skipping the Bwindi part, or switch to sg. else (maybe to another entry or Rwanda gorillas), but still with this Company. It was bumpy - like on a small rollercoaster - constantly, for at least about 1 hour, or a bit more. I did not mind (after crossing the Drake 4 times without problems, and sailing a lot on other big waves, etc), but I'm not representing the average here.
