Depart Nairobi early in the morning for the Masai Mara, a drive of about 5–6 hours through the scenic Great Rift Valley. Stop briefly at a viewpoint to admire the sweeping landscapes before continuing to the reserve. Arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch, then relax before heading out on your first afternoon game drive. This exciting introduction to the Masai Mara offers opportunities to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and many more species against the backdrop of golden savanna. Return to camp for dinner and enjoy the evening around the campfire

After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch. Spend the day exploring the Mara’s vast plains, home to some of Africa’s greatest concentrations of wildlife. Look out for the Big Five, predators such as lions and cheetahs, and herds of wildebeest and antelope. Along the Mara River, you may spot hippos and crocodiles basking near the water. Enjoy your picnic lunch in the heart of the reserve before continuing the adventure. Later in the afternoon, return to your camp for dinner and overnight stay. Optional Experience: Begin your day with a breathtaking hot air balloon safari over the Mara at sunrise. This one-hour flight offers spectacular aerial views of the wildlife and sweeping savanna landscapes, followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush before rejoining your guide for the rest of the day’s game drive

After breakfast, you may choose to stop for an optional visit to a Maasai village (about $20 per person) to experience the community’s unique culture and traditions. Afterwards, depart for Nairobi, enjoying a relaxed drive with lunch en route. Expect to arrive in Nairobi by late afternoon, marking the end of your memorable 3-day safari.
