You're restricted to 20kg (44lbs) of luggage per person. This should be one piece of luggage similar to an airline carry-on bag (approximately 55cm x 45cm x 25cm / 22in x 17in x 10in) and a small bag for onboard personal items.
Booking three or more people? We can accommodate up to 8 guests in a group, please add each required room to your basket separately. To ensure that bookings for passengers traveling together are not separated, please inform us if you have multiple bookings.
B&Bs tend to be located on the outskirts of towns and you should be prepared for a 20-30 minute walk to local facilities like pubs and restaurants. If you have difficulty with stairs, please mention it to us as lifts will not be available in this type of property.
Hotels usually have a relatively central location but may be up to a 20-30 minute walk from local facilities. If you have difficulty with stairs, please let us know so that we can either book a ground floor room or a hotel with lift access, if available.
*Please note that from 1st April 2026, the end of Day 1 "visit to St David’s" will be swapped with the morning of Day 2 "free time in Tenby."
*Please note that Carreg Cennen Castle will be closed from 14-22 May, so if your tour departs on 19 May, you’ll be visiting Newton House (Dinefwr) instead.

St. Davids
Leaving Bristol, your first main destination is St Davids, known as the smallest city in Britain. Despite its tiny stature, St Davids has claimed city status thanks to the 12th century cathedral found in the heart of the town.
Pembrokeshire Coast National Park
In the afternoon, your driver-guide will take you on a beautiful drive along the Pembrokeshire Coast in the south of Wales, choosing the best places to stop depending on what might interest the group. Hills, estuaries, valleys, and woodlands, this stunning region really has it all.
Tenby
You arrive in Tenby in the early evening and this is your destination for the night. Settlement in Tenby town dates back to the 9th century, so no surprise there’s plenty to see here.

You have the morning to explore Tenby and we’d highly recommend taking advantage. This town has some fascinating history and amazing things to see, including what's left of Tenby Castle and the medieval town walls.
Laugharne
Poetry lovers will enjoy the stop at the lovely town of Laugharne. Welsh poet Dylan Thomas lived in his boathouse here from 1949 until his death in 1953.
Castell Carreg Cennen
In the afternoon you visit Carreg Cennen Castle. This incredible stronghold sits high on a rocky outcrop overlooking the River Cennen, so get your camera ready. There’s time here to explore the ruins and even grab a quick bite for lunch.
Brecon Beacons National Park
We then treat you to a drive through the scenic Brecon Beacons mountain range. A perfect way to end the day before you arrive in Abergavenny for the evening.
Hay-on-Wye - Ross-on-Wye - Tintern Abbey - Chepstow
Hay-on-Wye
Bookworms get ready. Your first stop of the day is in Hay-on-Wye, known as the First Booktown in the World. This town has become famous for its secondhand and antiquarian bookshops, so your free time here could result in a small reading collection for your travels.
Ross-on-Wye
You then travel onwards to Ross-on-Wye, the UK’s best loved market town. Here you have some time to wander and grab some lunch.
Tintern Abbey
Your journey takes you to your next stop: Tintern Abbey. Sitting on the banks of River Wye, there’s some fascinating history behind this now-roofless national icon which was founded in 1131.
Chepstow
Your last stop of the tour is in Chepstow where you can marvel at the power of Chepstow’s Norman castle. You arrive back in Bristol in the early evening.

5.00We did the 3 day tour for our 35th anniversary! The sights were amazing and beautiful, the coast, the countryside and villages seemed surreal!! What really made the tour special though was the 3 guides we had!! They had to deal with so many challenges, weather, roadwork,traffic and closed businesses. They handled everything perfectly!!! Dan, Alex and Esther were very insightful about the history of Wales and Britain and were very entertaining! Genuinely nice people!!! All three recommended things to see, restaurants to eat at and things to do. Will definitely use Rabbies for future tours!!

5.00We toured with Rabbie’s from Bristol to the south of Wales...what an amazing trip! We enjoy the small group tours for many reasons: comfort, ability to go a bit off the beaten track, and the camaraderie with fellow travelers and the driver/guide. From along the southern coast of Wales out to St Davids and then back again through the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, we visited many incredible places. Our driver/guide Kate was a delight. She was one of the most friendly, knowledgeable, and interesting people you could ever meet! She was also a very skilled driver and could navigate tiny backroads while telling fascinating history and tales. Kate, thank you so much for making our trip so incredibly fun!
