Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. Travel north through Uganda’s scenic countryside with views of rural villages and farmland. On the way, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino tracking experience. Accompanied by a ranger, you will walk through the sanctuary to observe southern white rhinos in their natural habitat. After the tracking experience, continue to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest national park. Arrive in the afternoon and check in at your lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Waterfall Cruises - Murchison Falls

Start the day with an early morning game drive across the northern savannah plains of Murchison Falls National Park. This area offers excellent wildlife viewing and opportunities to see: Elephants Lions Giraffes Buffalo Antelope Various bird species Return to the lodge for lunch before heading out for an afternoon boat cruise along the Nile River. The boat safari takes you upstream to the base of Murchison Falls. Along the way you may encounter hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants along the riverbanks, and many bird species. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Murchison Falls

After breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive to the top area of Murchison Falls. Here you will take a short guided hike (approximately 40 minutes to 1 hour) along scenic trails. The walk offers spectacular viewpoints where you can observe both the powerful Murchison Falls and the nearby Uhuru Falls, which formed during a major flood in 1962. The hike provides excellent opportunities for photography and for experiencing the dramatic force of the Nile River as it crashes through the narrow gorge. After the hike, begin the return journey to Kampala or Entebbe, arriving in the afternoon. Drop-off at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport if required.
