Kutaisi
Early in the morning, at 7 o'clock we will start the journey to western Georgia 220 km. We are crossing the Rikotski Pass and Kutaisi is waiting for us soon. We are in the Kolkheti lowlands, covered with many legends. Here the Argonauts under the command of Jason stole the golden fleece. In the surrounding mountains Prometheus was riding on a rock. This is the land of the eminent warriors of antiquity, where amazing events took place.
Bagrati Cathedral
In the Bagrati temple we will personally see all the beauty and unique charm of the impressive Georgian architecture of a thousand years ago.
Underworld of Colchis. You will visit Kumistavi, where the colorful cave world of Colchis in all its glory will appear before you. On a 1,700-meter walking trail through the grottoes, you will see stalactites and stalagmites, underground waterfalls, rivers, and a lake. And in the famous Prometheus Cave (Amirani) let us recall the legend of a chained mythological hero who angered the gods.
Martvili Canyon
700-m-long stone paved circular route starts from Martvili Canyon visitor center and crosses the Dadiani historical trail. There are 2 bridges, 3 platform views and historical 30 steps stair constructed by large limestone boulders. Visitors can enjoy a 300-meter boat tour on river Abasha and beautiful views of mountain river canyon.
We will visit the beautiful reservoir of Engurpes which stretches in the middle of the mountains.
We will also stop on the way to the waterfall and other beautiful places. In the evening we will have free time to walk in the streets of Mestia where many traditional cafes are located.
From Mestia to Ushguli and back to Mestia
Mestia was an important center of Georgian culture for centuries and contains a number of medieval monuments. Arrive in Mestia and visit the tower-museum of Margiani family, which dates back to the 12th century. Explore the tower.
Svaneti Museum of History and Ethnography
Next, visit to the Svaneti Museum of History and Ethnography. The Museum's collections include important archeological and ethnographic materials, a rich collection of Georgian manuscripts, and Georgian Orthodox icons painted in the unique Svan style.

Ushguli
Ushguli village is the highest permanently inhabited village in Europe. The whole village is included the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list and preserves numerous Svan defensive towers. Arrive in Ushguli and explore the village.
Shkhara Glacier
Then take a walk towards the foothills of Shkhara Glacier – the highest of peaks in Georgia (5204 m. above sea level).
From Mestia to Zugdidi and back to Tbilisi
In the morning we will have a free walk in the streets of Mestia until 12:00
Next we will drive to Zugdidi, where we will visit Dadiani Palace Historical Museum and Botanical garden.
Departure from Zugdidi to Tbilisi, where we will have free time to have lunch at Rikoti Pass.

Terrible experience and scary driving

2.00our experience with zura was not good at all - he was 1. driving rough, 2. he was constantly on phone texting and FaceTime 3. It was suppose to be private tour and he picked passengers to and from mestia to ushugali without asking us 4. He kept saying he is v sleepy since he drank a lot last night

1.00I feel my tour guide Roland was not guide, just driver. ･He is a weak of English. we sometimes cannot understand smoothly. 🤷🏻♀️When I asked something, he couldn't answer because he didn't know what should say in English...Of course, he didn't explain about our sightseeing places. It makes me dissapointed because I like to learn cultures. ･On the road, He always drive very rough. 🚗he always looks his smartphone on highway, leave his both hands from the handle many times😭He is crazy. ･I paid HIS ADMISSION FEE of the museums and Hatsvail Cable car.💰 (And also his some drinks too.) I don't know why I have to pay his fee😇I think he have to wait or pay it himself. He tired this stealthily with Georgian languages, it makes me so scared.😇 ・When we go the very nice view sites, I have to take HIS PICTURE SO MANY TIMES than mine.📷LOL I don't know why I have to bring HIS JACKET and take his picture. he loves his selfie, and maybe he sometimes forgets HIS JOB.😇 By the way, the landscape was really really nice⛰️! I can enjoy to see beautiful mountains, Ushgli village.

5.00Mestia is a good town surrounded by Kafkas mountains offering village type life examples and practises by locals. Some get the area for skiing at winter ,some for adventure and enjoyment at mountains. Not luxury but good places to stay and eat,walking around. Nice and friendly people. Many tall towers located at different places with reasonable distances from each other are with to visit to learn more about history and daily practises of past locals dares back to early times of local tribes live at the area,suffered from the attacks by other ,hostile residents. TURKISH RESTAURANT un by RITUR might be good choices for eating depending on your choice and budget,at yard or in.

5.00Were in Mtskheti on August 7. Everything really enjoyed, especially the guide's work (we had Roland). Special thanks to him for his humor, good spirits and beautiful atmosphere. Beautiful, picturesque places. We also got lucky with the driver (Goca), took us on interesting roads.
