Firstly, I would like to start my review by saying thanks to Mikki who was our guide. She was not only our guide, but also our driver and our cook. She definitely deserves a 5-star feedback. I cannot give such a positive feedback to Autopia (the tour operator) though. Actually, my feedback is very negative. In November I booked a 4-day tour in the Red Centre. After my booking was done, I accordingly booked two nights in a hostel in Yulara. I opted for a hostel because I would have spent a fortune if I had opted for a hotel. In January I got a message from the tour operator. They said the trip I booked was cancelled (for unknown reasons). After being refunded, I booked another tour (a 3-day one). Unfortunately, the schedule for the new tour was different from the previous one. Based on the new schedule, I was supposed to leave one day in advance from Yulara. To cut it short, I had no choice but to cancel one hostel night with no chance to get refunded because of their non refundable policy. I kindly asked Autopia to get that night refunded. It wasn't my fault if they decided to cancel the tour. I was in trouble because of a decision made by them and not by me. To cut it short, my request of getting reimbursed was ignored. Getting refunded would have been a nice thing of them. It was the equivalent of around 25 Euros or so. They wouldn't have gone bankrupt. This is for sure. In the end, getting my money back from Autopia was utopia. To be honest, I also didn't like the fact our guide was in charge to do pretty much everything. This is pretty common in Australia. I have joined other trips where the guide was a sort of factotum. In other countries companies pay both a guide and a driver. I was very surprised when I saw Mikki playing three different roles at the same time (although she was assisted by the team members to cook meals). This is a good way for the company to cut costs. Despite this, the cost of the tour was really hefty. I spent a lot of money to join it. In order to afford this 3-day tour and make it possible, I had to work for two full weeks. What is worse is that the services weren't worth the money I spent. On the first night the accommodation was horrible. There were two options...either sleeping romantically under the stars (but among centipedes) or in a sort of tent made of metal without windows or even a small fan. Breathing wasn't easy as there was no air circulation inside. On a separate note, after most of the fellow travellers went to sleep, I stayed in the kitchen to recharge my mobile. While I was there, I could see not only centipedes, but also mice strolling around the toaster, the pans and cutlery. I was a bit disgusted. Not very hygienc. As for our trip, it is well understood all the places we saw are truly beautiful. However, in honesty our van wasn't really a good one. Pretty small, with no much room for legs. Hence, the reasons why my feedback is negative.

What a unique and wonderful trip. Went in the heat of summer and not for the faint hearted but rewarding. We had a great bunch of fellow travellers hosted by a true Aussie, Donk. He made sure we were well looked after, safe, well fed and entertained endlessly. You may think the area is just a bit of red sand with a few bumps but you will be amazed at the variety of landscapes

We embarked on a three-day Uluru experience from Alice Springs with two night glamping at two different locations. The excursion included some walks at different locations around Uluru with the sunset outdoor light supper (prosecco included) also included was the sunrise viewing of Uluru from different location. King's Canyon hike was spectacular on third day. Our guide/driver Mikki is an incredibly talented and professional young lady. Thank you very much Mikki. We recommend Autopia Tours' services in a heart beat; once in a lifetime experience.

We had only been in Australia for 4 days and this was one of the big trips we had booked to start our Aussie travel experience. CJ was absolutely brilliant, so passionate, knowledgeable and friendly. Myself and partner felt we learnt a lot and felt like we were experiencing proper Aussie. Thank you so much for making the start of our trip so special. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone.

We had an amazing tour. We were lucky that the weather was kind to us but it was extra special due to our guide Adam. His enthusiasm, hard work and knowledge of everything from, geology, bird and animal life to his in depth knowledge and understanding of indigenous peoples and their cultures was outstanding. We learnt so much. Thank you Adam from Jackie, Chris, Jessie and Matt

Paid 1525th for me and my son 3days/2nights with Autopiatour. Beautiful landscapes....But hey, Autopiatours just operates this amazing site. For organizing the trip itself, a scam. Pick up at Uluru in the early afternoon of the 1st day. Bus full, just 2 places at the back above the wheels so hours of driving with our legs folded with our bag against the chest (my son is 1m95). Mini bus said to be air-conditioned but untenable heat almost permanent. 2 elderly ladies will be entitled during the 3 days to the best seats in front claiming to be sick and risk of vomiting!! We had to rent sleeping bags but when we set up camp, equipment soaked, unusable. We were graciously removed from the old dusty plaids: asthma attack. Thanks. First night: Common toilet with other camps, you had to walk alone by the road several minutes to get to the toilet in the middle of the night and without any light (just the lamp of my phone). Dirty tents, dodgy mattresses, unclean cleaning (important supplements for sleeping in tents). The second night, one of the 2 elderly ladies squatted in an empty tent when she had not paid for it (like us, a blind by the way for rotten tents). As a result, she snored so much in the tent next to mine that I had to ask for a swag and sleep outside near the kitchen full of ants. Lamentable. The two young female guides were doing nothing... Travellers must DO EVERYTHING. install, prepare, clean and disassemble everything, store, clean the next day. We were even dropped off at the side of the road and asked to fetch wood for the campfire. Almost all of us brought back medium-sized branches that were turned down because they were too small. So beginning of rebellion, feeling like you're really mistaken for C.... But the worst part is the lack of food. In the morning a medium jar of jam, another of peanut butter and toast. Freeze-dried tea and coffee. That's it for 22 people. Lunch and dinner, no starter or dessert, a unique frugal dish because totally insufficient in quantity. On the 2nd day, it was necessary to prepare 1 wrap (only one per person!!) to be wrapped in plastic and stored in the cooler for lunch on the 3rd and last day. So we decided to buy food as soon as possible. Then again, lamentable. Here you go! Two young women who clearly didn't care. Who blew as soon as they were asked what things. Until we left alone in the canyon to stay with another guide girlfriend. I am not a "whisper", I have camped in the desert in Africa several times in recent years. But now I'm ashamed to have paid so much for such a lame performance.

Damian led this tour superbly. It was a whirlwind of information on respect for the culture knowledge and life of indigenous people, on rocks, flora. That added everything to seeing and walking at Uluru and Kata Jura and exploring kings canyon creek and rim walk. The second night camping was unique.
