Please arrive at the Windhoek Truck Port by 06h45. The Go2 Traveller Transfer departs at 07h00 for a 5-hour (345km) journey to Sesriem, the gateway to Sossusvlei’s famed dunes. The scenic route heads southwest, skirting the Naukluft Mountains, passing Heroes’ Acre and the "Window Bridge". You'll travel through Rehoboth, home of the Rehoboth Basters, then onto the picturesque Remhoogte Pass.

Arrive at the Namib Desert Lodge around noon. After check-in, enjoy lunch (on your own account) and leisure time.

The 2- to 3-hour Sundowner Dune Drive begins 2 hours before sunset and features fossilized dunes, red dunes, and refreshments.

Big Daddy Dune
Start early and spend much of the day climbing the world's highest dunes. Big Daddy offers a challenging climb, but the stunning views are worth it. Descend to the whispering sands of the Namib, leading to Dead Vlei's ancient camelthorn trees, a photographer’s paradise.
Continue exploring the rugged Sesriem Canyon before returning to the lodge for the evening. Don't forget your sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, comfortable walking shoes, and camera. Sossusvlei excursion: A guided half-day tour including park entrance fees, brunch, and refreshments (5 to 6 hours).

Travel north, past Rehoboth, through stunning desert landscapes and the impressive Naukluft Mountains. Along the way, you'll pass Solitaire, fossilized dunes, and picturesque settlements via Remhoogte Pass. The scenery shifts from tawny hills to vibrant greens after rain. Before reaching Windhoek, spot Heroes’ Acre, a memorial to Namibia’s freedom fighters.
Arrive at Windhoek Truck Port around 18h00 pm. We bid you farewell and safe travels ahead.

Extremely Stressful Experience Before a Once-in-a-Lifetime Trip

3.00I booked a 3-day Sossusvlei and Namib Desert tour for December 24, 2025 with Beyond Africa Safaris on August 13, 2025—more than four months in advance. The booking was confirmed by their agent, Raymond Kabura, who acknowledged receipt of payment and confirmed our seats. On December 23, 2025—just one day before departure—the same agent contacted me via WhatsApp to say that the shuttle bus was full and that there were no seats available for my wife and me. He suggested either rescheduling or canceling the tour. When I asked how this was possible given that our seats had been confirmed months earlier, I received no response. As our Africa trip had been planned well in advance, changing dates was not an option. After a prolonged and stressful exchange of messages, the agent eventually arranged transport to the desert lodge through a questionable third-party cab company, allowing us to proceed with the tour. Being informed just one day before departure that a confirmed booking could not be honored is unacceptable, unprofessional, and deeply disappointing. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise others to avoid this tour operator.

5.00A fantastic experience spending time in the desert and the lodge was wonderful with great trails from just outdide the lodge. But the most wonderful experience was climbing big daddy dune then being met with the view of deadvlei which are amazing

5.00It was an amazing tour. First of all it was very easy to find the driver at Windhoek Truckport and he drove us directly to the Namib Desert Lodge. In the evening we did the Namib Desert Safari and saw many Oryxes, Gnus and Antillopes and could take amazing pictures with the Sunset. On the Second day we started early at 6 to go to the Big Daddy Dune and Dead Vlei. We had 2 hours and it took us 1.5 hours to climb up Big Daddy. Afterwards our guide took us to a picnic and gave us a lot of amazing food for lunch. And afterwards we visited the Sesriem Canyon. All in all the tour was totally worth it and the staff at the Namib Desert Lodge are very nice and helpful and I enjoyed our stay there

5.00This is a wonderful experience. From departure from Windhoek to each of the excursion, I was impressed by the professionalism of drivers, guides, and hotel staff. Viva is an outstanding tour guide. He took care of every detail in a dilligent manner. Viva is knowledgeable and safety conscious. Not a single flaw could be identified. Very friendly guy who always walked the extra mile to make us experience the most wonderful tour. I highly recommend this tour.
