At 09:30 AM, we will take you to the pier in Puerto Capitania. Here we will embark on a 30 minute journey to our serene Paradise Amazon Lodge.
Tambopata National Reserve
CANOPY: We will begin with a brief journey of 200 meters from our lodging to the Canopy Tower, which rises to a height of 35 meters. This tower is situated next to a majestic Lupuna Tree, an emblematic symbol of the Amazon due to its impressive size. Throughout the day, you'll have the chance to spot various bird species from this tower. Our local guide will ensure you receive enriching details about the flora and fauna of the surroundings.
Madre de Dios Region
KAYAKING: In the early afternoon, we'll embark on a kayaking journey. Initiating from our lodge, our team will ensure you're outfitted with all necessary safety equipment. Once prepared, we'll start our kayak adventure with a safety boat accompanying us, ensuring everyone's well-being throughout the journey. Afterward, seize the chance to cool off from the Amazonian warmth by diving into the refreshing waters of the Madre de Dios river.
Tambopata National Reserve
MONKEY ISLAND: After your kayaking adventure, we'll hop back onto our boat for a brief 15-minute journey downstream to Monkey Island. True to its name, the island is a haven for various monkey species. You'll likely encounter Capuchin monkeys, Black Monkey (Cebus apella), White Monkey (Cebus albifrons), and more. Many of these species are quite amicable. With guidance from a local expert, you'll have the chance to approach and even feed them, observing their harmonious existence in the Tambopata National Reserve. Post this unique interaction, we aim to be back at the lodge by 4:30 PM, just in time for you to marvel at an Amazonian sunset.
Tambopata National Reserve
CAIMAN SPOTTING: We will head out on a excursion after dark to search for alligators, rigged with searchlights and headlamps. We will observe dwarf caimans and white caimans. We will be back at the resort around 7:30 p.m. to have dinner and enjoy a well-deserved rest.

In the morning, the melodious chirping of birds will be your wake-up call. Our team is eager to serve you a delectable breakfast comprising freshly squeezed fruit juice, a steaming cup of authentic Peruvian coffee, eggs, fluffy pancakes, savory fried plantains, and other traditional breakfast items. At 9:30 a.m., we will embark on our journey to the checkpoint where local authorities will register details of each visitor. Following this, we have a scenic three-kilometer trek ahead of us leading to Lake Sandoval. As we proceed, seize the opportunity to observe a diverse array of flora and fauna. Notably, the vast lake is home to majestic otters which are often spotted by our guests.
Lago Sandoval
Nestled within the forest and along the serene shores of Lake Sandoval, we will present you with a sumptuous meal. Following our repast, we'll embark on a rowboat journey to the lake's heart, hoping to spot more of its avian inhabitants and creatures. The area is home to hoatzins, cormorants, and anhingas. On fortunate occasions, visitors have even caught glimpses of the distinctive and playful "river wolves." After our intimate encounter with the vibrant life of Lake Sandoval, we will make our way back to the resort.

Around 6:30 in the evening, we'll embark on a walk to observe various species of nocturnal creatures. Our knowledgeable guide will provide detailed explanations about each one. Following our exploration, we'll return to the lodge for dinner at approximately 7:30 p.m.

With an early morning wake up you will enjoy a beautiful sunrise navigating up the River Madre de Dios to the Collpa de Loros. A swarm of birds will begin to slowly approach the cliff to eat the clay when we have had time to settle. You will also have the opportunity to see several other bird species, such as blue-headed parrots, auroras, and parakeets. This activity lasts about an hour, during which you can film, take the best pictures, and think about these beautiful and fascinating birds while watching the amazing sunrise over the rainforest. We will return to the resort at 7:00 AM to have breakfast at 8:00 a.m. After breakfast you will have time to rest till the next excursion
Lago Sandoval
After breakfast, we'll journey to a nearby ravine for a fishing excursion. The lake teems with a diverse array of fish, including catfish, damsels, sardines, and piranhas. We'll then bring our catch back to the resort, where our chef will expertly prepare it for lunch using traditional seasonings.
Tambopata National Reserve
After breakfast, we will transport you back to Tambopata in time for your next bus or flight.

5.00We just finished our tour and I couldn’t wait to write this review. We had an absolutely unforgettable time. The activities, especially the Lake Sandoval tour, were amazing and we saw so much wildlife, but we also learned a lot about the area. I cannot say enough good things about our guide, Boris. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions about the flora and fauna. We could not have asked for a better guide. The staff at the lodge are also fantastic, and we had conversations with many of them. The accommodations were basic, but not uncomfortable at all. The lack of power and WiFi didn’t really make a difference, since we spent so much time out and about. It was also a great opportunity to put away our screens and take the time to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thank you, Paradise Tours and thank you Boris!

5.00We had three amazing days, much thanks to our fantastic guide Boris. He really knew how to spot the animals, shared soo much interesting information about everything we saw, on top of that he was a great photogafer, funny and patient. The lodge was great too and the food was lovely. The rooms are basic without windows only mosquitonet, but that is the experience you want, I loved falling asleep to the sound of nature. The only downside was that the bathroom and particularly the shower had not been cleaned for quite some time, so we did not use the shower. Bring a powerbank as electricity is limited to a few hours a day. The program was not exactly as stated but we did not mind. We had more freetime than experted but we enjoyed the rest after the early mornings and the opportunity to cool down by the pool.

4.00The Eco Lodge is very basic but beautiful. The meals were delicious with plentiful food. There isn’t much to do if weather turns bad and activities get canceled. Our guide at Lake Sandoval was extremely knowledgeable and the highlight. We did have a weird experience when one guide left and the other guide came to our room at 4am and asked to wash his feet. He took one of our towels went in the bathroom. We were quite uncomfortable.

5.00This was a fantastic experience. Alex was a friendly guide who went out of his way to find lots of animals for the group. We saw lots of tarantulas, caimans, macaws and many other cool birds. He even spotted some otters for us. I was really happy with all the activities, particularly enjoying the zip lining and canoeing on Tambopata lake. The lodge itself was very relaxing and felt like an authentic Amazon experience. The portion sizes for the meals were very good and the chefs made sure there was lots of variety in what we were being fed each day. Would definitely recommend this company based on my experience.

5.00Amazing experience! The 3-day tour is jammed packed with activities, but there is still time to chill or take a quick nap in between. You have to get up early for the best animal watching, but it’s 100% worth it, and you have time to go to bed early. We saw every animal we could have hoped for, including but not limited to 3 species of monkeys, different parrots and birds, tarantulas, huge caymans, capybara, a sloth and even the giant river otters. The canopy walk/zipline is amazing, beautiful and terrifying, and was way cooler (and higher) than we had hoped! The lodge itself is clean and well-kept, in the middle of the jungle. Clean bathrooms, and beds with mosquito-nets, and the food is good. Our guide Alex was amazing too. Super knowledgeable and able to answer every question. He also seemed very interested in the jungle himself, and were able to show us some really cool things! The other guides seemed great too, and the groups are kept at around 6-10 persons (at least in our case) which made it very comfortable for everyone. One of the best experiences we had in Peru!

4.00Our stay was in some very rustic rooms in extreme heat, but I guess that’s a true jungle experience. Our evening on Lake Sandoval was beautiful- saw lots of different wildlife!! Our guide Shandy really stood out with her enthusiastic knowledge and experience.

5.00The peace you experience in the Amazon jungle, combined with the relaxing sound of animals that accompanies you day and night are priceless. At Paradise Yakari we had the opportunity to enjoy these things and learn about the local fauna and flora with a special guide, Santos. Thanks again for the interesting activities and for all the information about animals and plants. Very recommended place for anyone looking for peace, relaxation and adventure.

5.00We had the best time with our guide Franklin. He has so much knowledge about the Amazon and was amazing at spotting the animals. We saw sloths, monkeys, a capybara, caimen, otters, macaws, and tarantulas during our stay. We could also see the monkeys eating bananas from the window of our room. Food was good and the rooms were basic but everything we needed including a private bathroom. Mosquitos were not an issue during our stay. Thank you!
