Once you arrive at Victoria Falls International Airport (VFA), you will be picked up and transferred to your place of accommodation. It is important that you let us know your flight details beforehand, as the collection time will depend on the arrival time of your flight. At 16:00 you will meet with your driver-guide for a pick-up to the dinner cruise. Day two commences with a morning pick-up at 8:30 am from the hotel reception for a guided tour of Victoria Falls. You will be picked up by a driver-guide. The experience takes you through parts of the Victoria Falls rainforest to the cliffs opposite the massive cascade. At 4:00 pm you’ll be taken to a private reserve located approximately 7 miles from the center of town, here you will enjoy a late afternoon game drive until sunset. Meander in an open, well-kitted 4X4 vehicle through a changing landscape of scenic basalt plains, to the Kalahari sands, and teak forests of the Nakavango Private Game Reserve. At sunset, you will stopover at a splendid vantage point to enjoy some drinks and snacks, stretch your legs and chat about the afternoon’s adventures with fellow travelers. At dusk, the spotlight comes out to give you the opportunity of seeing what happens at night in the African bush. The 3-course BBQ meal is complemented by wine, cold beer and light refreshments.

5.00Our guide, Simon, was exceptional. Punctual, knowledgeable and constantly going out of his way to ensure our trip was perfect. Our initial contact, Tatenda and the game drive guide, Milton, were excellent as well. Would book with Cuckoo Safaris again in a heartbeat. An amazing experience all around.

5.00My friends and I had an amazing time on our recent visit to Victoria Falls for the 3 day experience with the help of the Cuckoo Safari team. Tatenda was very helpful prior to our arrival at Victoria falls to ensure we had the best trip possible. They set us up in the beautiful pioneer lodge, where you have the option of booking spa treatments, along with other vacation luxuries. For the dinner cruise we had a yummy 4-course meal, open bar and the opportunity to see animals like hippos; as well as unique views like the Milky Way in the sky once it went dark. The tour of Victoria falls themselves was another highlight, seeing the beautiful falls and the most rainbows we’ve ever seen in one place, while being enthusiastically educated and lead by tour guide Simon. We also coordinated with Tatenda to add a fun helicopter tour. The Safari was an exhilarating experience, seeing giraffes, zebra, water Buffalo, impala, baboons, rhinos, wild cats, hares and owls in the light and dark portions of the tour; and getting to enjoy a deliciously prepared dinner in the bush with impala steak and mixed vegetables, sides and squash soup, again seeing a perfectly starry night sky. We had a truly amazing time in Victoria Falls and we would definitely recommend the Cuckoo Safari team to plan your trip and take care of you while there!
