  We had the most amazing time with Gibbon Encounters - it was the highlight of our time in Thailand! One was a fantastic guide, who was very knowledgeable about gibbons and the local area. The gibbon encounters were very ethical; we saw many, and observed them in the wild without intervention. The homestay hosts were incredibly kind, and meeting the lovely residents of the village was the highlight of the trip! We took part in a basket weaving class, a cooking class, and learned how to harvest and roast coffee beans. 10/10 and could not recommend more highly. Thank you so much!

  What an amazing experience. One of the top, if not the best thing I did while in Thailand for 3+ weeks. The cost for the experience was worth every penny. With only ever a small group size for a higher chance of seeing gibbons, there were so many activities planned that were intimate and authentic. You were able to learn so much from everyone in the village. It was above and beyond what I expected. And we saw gibbons every day we were there! The owner has studied them for years and he knows the gibbon families and how they behave/where they live so he knew exactly what to do to get up close encounters.   In truth, I would not have enough words to express all my gratitude, both to the community and especially to Uno, Nai and Boy for the welcome and stay so beautiful that they gave me... I definitely felt at home, they treated me with so much love that it seemed that I always belonged here. Their work in preserving their territory and culture is to be admired. I recommend all those who are thinking of going around here, in Thailand, to contact them because they are doing a great job and the experience is something you will not forget so easy.   Observing wild gibbons was a rare privilege. There’s nothing touristy about this experience; it’s as authentic and honest as you can get. 100% cultural immersion in a warm and generous community and the most unique, respectful encounter with wildlife I’ve had in 30 years’ of travelling the world. • Can't recommend enough for nature lovers!

  That was a very wholesome, authentic experience. The homestay was great - the host, the view, the local food. They provided the bed, the mosquito net, the outlet for charging, pretty much all I needed. If trying to find the drawbacks, maybe a hot shower would've been handy. But again, comfort is not what I was after on this trip. The nature is just beautiful! We saw Gibbons multiple times in their natural habitat! Finally, I really appreciate that this is a cooperative effort and money go to the conservation efforts and to support local community. For those loving nature, my full recommendation! If you just want Instagram photos, don't bother.

  I had the most incredible experience getting to see gibbons and learn about the Karen community. One is such an amazing person who truly makes the experience so meaningful. We got to see tons of gibbons and we also felt very immersed in Karen culture. I am so grateful to have had this experience and wish it never ended.
