Take a drive through Mombasa road to arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. You will see the beautiful scenery including the Taita hills as you climb up to salt lick from Voi town.
Lunch will be served at out Taita hills lodge before guests proceed deeper into the park towards salt lick lodge. we expect to see all the big cats in this safari and other grazers.
salt lick lodge is the most photpgraphed lodge built on high stilts and a nice watering hole below. you will see the animals as they come to drink water.
We offer professional, highly experienced driver guides who are familiar with the terrain.
We provide good and clean cars with a pop up roof for sightseeing and photography.

Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary
Pick up from hotel or airport and drive to Tsavo west National Park at 6 a.m. and drive through the Nairobi-Mombasa Road. The journey takes you through lovely sceneries in the eastern part of Kenya, sight-seeing wild animals on the way and the different cultural setting of the community around. After a 5-hr drive you will arrive at Voi town, where you will branch and head straight to the Tsavo west National Park main gate. You will do a game drive enroute to the Taita hills resort and spa for lunch, where variety of delicacies are served at the main dining area with a lot of ambience After lunch, drive and arrive at the famous Saltlick safari Lodge, check in and then depart for a game viewing drive. Return back to the lodge for a sumptuous buffet dinner with a stunning view overlooking the floodlit waterhole, which gives you a close range view of the animals, ending with good time for resting. Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary
Spend the whole day exploring the vast Taita Hills Game Sanctuary. This private sanctuary is located right next to Tsavo West, so it’s an easy hop to get here. The landscape in this park is more verdant than Tsavo, and the game viewing is every bit as good. The sanctuary offers good bird watching but that isn’t Taita Hills’ main attraction. A unique aspect of this small park is the rangers here usually have a very good idea where the larger animals can be found. It’s not unheard of for safari-goers to spot over a dozen species on a game drive.

5.00We have just concluded this fabulous three-day experience at the Salt Lick lodge together with Samuel, our driver. The Salt Lick Lodge is a place that leaves you speechless, immersed in the savannah, the wonderful rooms and a view that leaves you speechless. Samuel was fantastic, perfect in everything, you can see he puts his heart into what he does. We can't thank him enough for the wonderful days he put us through. I wish everyone an experience like this in life. Thanks for everything!
