On your arrival at Entebbe international airport (EBB), you will be met by a Dav safaris staff that will brief you. This is a long day drive of approximately 7 hours with lunch stop over en route. Though long, the drive takes you through different features to include tropical rain forests, savannah fields and the terraced hills of Kigezi famously known as the Switzerland of East Africa. Upon arrival in Bwindi we shall check in at the lodge and proceed to the Batwa community for the cultural adventure about these forest pygmies. You will spend the rest of day at leisure as you wait for the next day’s adventure. Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner

After an early morning breakfast, and with your picnic lunch we then take a short drive to the park offices for briefing where we meet the excellent local guides and trackers who give a talk on the etiquette of gorilla trekking. We then hike into the forest to a spot where gorillas were seen the previous night and track from there. Trekking may take anything between 1 to 6 hours depending on the location of the family and altitudes which is in excess of 7500 feet.
Transfer to Kampala via Equator line
Entebbe
After breakfast, start on the long drive back to Entebbe / Kampala with the memory of the great rare mountain Apes. Lunch en route and a stopover at the equator line for experimentation, arriving late in the evening to be dropped at Entebbe international airport at approximately 6 pm hence you have to book an evening flight!

5.00We had the best expierence with DAV Safaris and our driver Joyous! Such a beautiful country with heartwarming people. We did a 10-day Safari through the whole country. Booking process was super easy - could choose all the accommodation, everything was well organized and Joyous did his very best for making our stay just perfect. We met the Big Five, went Chimps & Gorilla Trekking. Everything worked out perfectly. I can only reccommend this country to everybody who loves adventure, animals, meeting new cultures and stunning nature. We hope we can come back one day and we will for sure book other tours in Africa through DAV Safaris!

5.00Benjamin was an outstanding guide. His knowledge and excellent attitude were exemplary and made the trip even more fantastic. We loved our DAV experience too. The company, especially as represented by Benjamin, did a lovely job planning our 11 day itinerary. We were able to squeeze a lot in without it feeling horribly rushed. which was excellent. Ben even took us out of our way to go find an artist studio for a beautiful painting we found earlier in the trip! A+++++ Highly recommend Benjamin and DAV Safaris.

5.00We booked a 2 day Gorilla Tracking Tour from Kigali through Dav Safaris and had an excellent experience! Our agent, Reagan was organized and prompt with responding to our emails. On our tour, our driver Charles was very good and navigated bumpy and rough roads very well. We stayed overnight in Kisoro, and had an early morning drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park to start our morning Gorilla Tracking. The park rangers brought our group of 8 on a 2.5 hour hike in the to track the current location of the Gorilla family; the terrain was bushy but not too steep. We would highly recommend Mgahinga as the one gorilla family there is large and social! We saw 3 silverbacks, several adult gorillas, one adolescent and one 2 month old gorilla. The animals are very gentle and came up very close to us. It was an unbelievable experience seeing these amazing animals only a few meters away. We spent 1 hour with the gorillas taking photos of every gorilla in the family. After the tracking hike we were driven back to Kigali. If you are looking to see the gorillas in the wild, I would really recommend booking with Dav Safaris as they are very experienced and professional. It is less expensive to see the gorillas in Uganda, and flying into Kigali is the closest airport. Remember to get your e-visa for Uganda in advance.

5.00We did the 7 day tour. Jeck was a very good guide and driver. The tour itself was good and Jeck did everything to make sure we saw lions and leopards, with success! We also saw the chimpanzees and gorillas. We were not so satisfied with the first two accommodations. The others were very good and the food was very delicious throughout the tour.

5.00We loved everything about our Safari in Uganda. Driving throughout Uganda was absolutely beautiful and our driver was the best! Joyous was friendly, competent, safe and professional while also having a great sense of humor. Our experience seeing the gorillas was a highlight of the trip….absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend adding this Safari to your African experience.

5.00Wonderful is all I can say from the airport transportation pick up on time and professionally handled to the delivery of us to our hotel lodging .. even the extra attention to go back to the airport for luggage that was missed on the connecting flight the attention to detail the check-in process at the hotel the tour guides all were excellent I would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in doing the Safari with this tour guide.

5.00I went for a 5 days Solo trip to Uganda with DAV Safari & my experience was amazing. They have lodges at nice locations and tours were planned as per my liking. Ibrahim who was coordinator of my trip was always ready to help & give solution as per my liking. Brian driver cum guide became my close friend on this tour. Based on my amazing experience with them i choose them for Nile River origin tour as well.
